Akala ko ang leksyun na nakuha ni Manny Pacquiao sa kanyang pagkatalo niya sa Mexicanong si Juan Manuel Marquez ay hindi siya superman at dapat na siyang mag-retiro.

Hindi pala. Gusto pa niyang lumaban ulit. Kaya pinag-uusapan na ngayon ang panglimang Pacquiao-Marquez fight. Baka sa Abril daw.

“I am going to rest and come back to fight. I would go for a fifth,” sabi niya sa interview sa kanya sa Las Vegas isang araw bago siya pinatumba ni Marquez.

Naloko na. Gusto yata maging gulay. Anhin niya ang kanyang bilyunes kung gulay naman siya.

Sabi ni Ronnie Nathanielsz, sports analyst, na delikado sa edad ngayon ni Pacquiao (magiging 34 siya sa Disyembre 17) , ang magpapatuloy sa boksing, isang sports na talagang bugbog ang katawan.

Sabi ni Nathanielz kapag tinitingnan niya ang coach ni Pacquiao na si Freddie Roach na dati ring boksingero at ang dating heavyweight champion na si Muhammad Ali, parehong may Parkinson’s disease, natatakot siya para kay Pacquiao.

Thanks Manny Pacquiao for a hassle-free Sunday morning

Boxing is too brutal a spectator sport for me but I’m thankful for the Pacquiao-Marquez fight yesterday.

No, I didn’t watch the third encounter of our very own Manny Pacquiao and Mexican Juan Manuel Marquez. But I enjoyed the free-flowing traffic because almost everybody was glued to television starting early morning. I left Las Piñas 7: 30 a.m. for an 8:30 a.m. breakfast meeting with friends at Italianni’s at Greenbelt 2.

I took the bus and made it to Makati in less than an hour!

There was a little problem though because Italianni’s was reserved for those who wanted to watch the fight so we transferred to Mary Grace, where we had a delightful breakfast of bangus and Vigan langgonisa concluded by hot chocolate and ensaimada.
