Press Secretary Bunye’s line was Gloria Arroyo will be ‘concentrating on governance’ so she won’t be joining the administration’s senatorial candidates in their campaign. Of course, that’s their ploy to deflect the real issue in this election which is Gloria Arroyo. Even her senatorial candidates are ashamed of her.

TEAM Unity senatorial candidates have asked President Arroyo to distance herself from their campaign sorties so as not to doom their chances of winning, Malacañang sources said yesterday.
The sources said former presidential chief of staff Michael Defensor, the only former Cabinet member running in the administration senatorial ticket, was tapped as messenger by his fellow candidate.
The sources said the President tartly answered that she was busy attending to the demands of her office to join Team Unity in the stump.
But the sources said Arroyo demanded in turn that the candidates join her in her provincial sorties.
Senate minority leader Aquilino Pimentel, an Arroyo critic and whose son Aquilino III is running for senator under the opposition, said an Arroyo endorsement would be a kiss of death.
“(There would be a) tremendous backlash…Kawawa naman ang mga kandidato n’ya pag sumama siya sa kampanya,” Pimentel said.
He said the administration’s difficulty in forming a winnable and credible 12-man senatorial slate reflected the continuing public distrust toward Arroyo.
Doubts over the legitimacy of her rule and the unresolved controversies that have rocked the government since Arroyo came to power in 2001 have not been erased from the public’s mind.
In contrast, Pimentel said, senatorial candidates have been trekking to Tanay, Rizal, to court the endorsement of President Joseph Estrada.
“In my long life in politics, this is a phenomenon that I am witnessing in the country for the first time. It is the fact that here is a former president, who is behind bars technically speaking, being deluged with people seeking his blessing,” he said.
“And here is an incumbent president who could not even seem to complete a senatorial slate at this point. So you can see here a big disparity in the appreciation of the people regarding this matter,” he said.
Press Secretary Ignacio Bunye said President Arroyo has directed the members of Team Unity and candidates of the administration coalition not to engage in character assassination and to focus on enjoining people to be part of positive change.
“We want a nurturing campaign, not a contest of mudslinging or muckraking. We join the people in the high ground and urge them to leave the haters and destroyers behind,” said Bunye. – JP Lopez and Jocelyn Montemayor

What Joker is parroting about Trillanes is bullshit. Trillnes inclusion was a last minute act by UNO while Joker has been namamangka sa dalawang river since the start of the selection process. Thai Cops On Alert For Underage Kissing
A word of advice to young Thai lovers on Valentine’s Day: No kissing in public. Bangkok police say they plan to protect underage couples from the sting of Cupid’s arrow, and will crack down on what is deemed to be “inappropriate” behavior.
Patrols will start after school hours in “high-risk areas,” like public parks, shopping malls and restaurants and expand in the evening to include nightclubs, bars and so-called love motels, which rent small rooms for short periods of time, said Police Lt. Vorawat Amornviwat of the Metropolitan Police Bureau.
“If we find teenagers below 18 engaged in inappropriate behavior like kissing, we will give them warnings and report to their parents so they can pick them up,” he said. “Alcohol is definitely a catalyst for this kind of behavior, so we will keep an eye on underage drinking.”
The Metropolitan Police force has also asked nightclub and bar owners to help by turning away underage customers.
“These places are not meant for kids,” he said, adding that Valentine’s Day required extra vigilance “because they seem to be more vulnerable to sexual temptations on this particular night.”

Arroyo corrected Trillanes, saying he and fellow government prosecutors in the trial did not walk out; it was the private lawyers who did. And now that all the senators are aware of the tiyanak and het Fatso’s corrupt ways, they too are watching all their attempts to dig into our treasure chest! Thank God, the senators are not buying the “special sessions” kuno for the Congress. Tiyanak and Fatso have to bring out their loot from the international banks to be able to keep up with their cheating ways! They have to bribe the COMELEC, the military, the poll watchers and etc.
My niece just told me that the vote buying have started! It is 500 per head. I told her to get the money and vote differently and she said that this will not be possible because once you get the money, you will be watched at the polling place to make sure that you vote for the one who gave the dough. So, for those who are intending to vote their own way, watch out! It may not be so simple to get the money and vote differently! Sigurista ang mga ungas na ito! I can smell blood this coming election for those who are desperate to win!
For Joker Arroyo, he probably wishes that he is not running this coming May. His first name, Joker, is realy a joke! His last name, Arroyo, means wala na talagang pagasa! So, if I were him, I will just get the money and not spend it so he will have a comfortable retirement nest.
I agree with someone’s assessment earlier that Mike Defensor may make it to the magic 12. He had a lot of blunders in the past but he is still young and can make up for it. He may be a valuable bridge to the tiyanak at a later date.
That is if the tiyanak will survive after the elections!
