Four days after Gloria and Mike Arroyo were discharged from St. Luke‘s hospital last Monday, they were back again today.
Gloria went there a little past 2 p.m. and she is still there as of this writing (4:31 p.m).

President Arroyo again went to the St. Luke’s Medical Center in Quezon City on Friday, but this time to accompany her husband for a scheduled checkup.
Arroyo proceeded to the hospital after presiding over a meeting of the National Disaster Coordinating Council on typhoon “Reming” (international codename: Durian).
Gabriel Claudio, presidential political affairs adviser, dispelled rumors on the Chief Executive’s health and assured that her schedule for the day will push through as planned.
“The President’s presence before the Australia-New Zealand chamber tonight will dispel speculations about her health,” Claudio said.
The First Couple was confined at the hospital for an executive checkup last Saturday and was discharged on Monday.
Mrs. Arroyo was briefly hospitalized in June for stomach pains and in July for flu.

I don’t believe she’s sick. The truth is that she and her cahorts may be holding their meetings there, cooking up the now ready to be imposed ChaCha and Martial Law.
The woman and her husband must be talking to all their cronies, friends and relatives to join them in their struggle to gain more power with a promise to take good care of them who will help them. Whoever will still believe them must be really a fool.

Presidente (kuno) ka, mas maraming dapat pagtuunan ng pansin lalo na’t binabagyo ngayon ang Pilipinas at dahil din sa dami ng problema sa Pilipinas, mas ginusto pa niyang samahan ang ubod ng laki (dahil sa smuggling at mga nakaw na yaman) niyang asawa para lang sa follow up check up? I wouldn’t be surprised if this Gloria returns to the hospital; but for her and her Big Fat Spouse to return together now makes me wonder and suspicious. They could be attending sex seminars and undergoing sex therapy. I know that they haven’t been doing IT for a long time especially after GMA found out FG’s Vicky Toh. Their sex life has declined so such a low level that they now need professional help. Or maybe Gloria wants to become pregnant again?

This was what Pampanga Representative Juan Miguel Arroyo had to tell reporters about the condition of his father, First Gentleman Jose Miguel Arroyo, who was admitted Friday to St. Luke’s Medical Center in Quezon City for what aides and Palace officials said was a “regular executive check-up.”
President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo left her husband’s side around 6:40 p.m. for a speaking engagement.
The hospital did not issue any medical bulletin on Mr. Arroyo’s state of health on instructions of his family, according to a hospital official.
Marilen Lagniton, St. Luke’s vice president for corporate communications, told reporters the Arroyo family chose to keep silent on the First Gentleman’s condition, saying he is a private citizen not obliged to disclose his health condition to the public.
Lagniton also refused to reveal the procedures done on Mr. Arroyo.
Reports have swirled that doctors planned to perform an angioplasty procedure on the First Gentleman to widen an obstructed blood vessel. No official from Malacañang or from the hospital confirmed this.
Representative Arroyo said his father was conscious and doing fine.
He said his mother was scheduled to speak at the 25th anniversary of the Australia-New Zealand Chamber of Commerce Philippines Inc. in Makati City.
The President went straight to the hospital shortly after noon Friday following a meeting of the National Disaster Coordinating Council meeting in Camp Aguinaldo to discuss efforts to help victims of typhoon “Reming” (international codename: Durian).
The President’s visit to the hospital triggered speculation about her health, which she immediately moved to squelch.
She had been hospitalized twice earlier this year, once for an upset stomach and another time for stress-induced flu.
Her political adviser, Gabriel Claudio, said the President called him up and told him to issue a statement to clarify why she had gone to the hospital.
“The President is just accompanying the First Gentleman who is undergoing routine medical procedures as a follow-up to his own check-up last week,” Claudio said in a text message.
Mr. Arroyo’s chief of staff, Juris Soliman, said it was normal for the President to accompany her husband for his check-up as she denied the First Gentleman was sick.

She denied Mr. Arroyo was sick, explaining that his check-up had not been completed when he and the President admitted themselves to St. Luke’s Saturday.
Although originally scheduled to check out of the hospital Sunday, the President left on Monday, opting to stay another night after the First Gentleman was made to undergo some tests.
Soliman said the First Gentleman might stay in the hospital overnight to complete the check-up.
She said Mr. Arroyo was supposed to go to Cebu Friday for a dry run of activities for the spouses of Association of Southeast Asian Nation (ASEAN) leaders but called off his trip because of Reming and opted to continue his check-up instead.
Mr. Arroyo will host a series of activities for the spouses of ASEAN leaders when they arrive in the country next week for the 14th ASEAN Summit.
Following doctors’ advice, Soliman said the Mr. Arroyo is trying to slim down by regulating his carbohydrates intake.
“He doesn’t take sweets anymore,” she said.
Eldest daughter Evangeline Lourdes (Luli) is monitoring the First Gentleman’s diet, Soliman added.
She said Mr. Arroyo would be back at work on Monday.

President Arroyo returned to St. Luke’s Medical Center in Quezon City on Friday, but this time to accompany her husband, Jose Miguel, for a scheduled checkup.
Malacañan officials and relatives said Mr. Arroyo, is undergoing a “medical procedure” at the hospital and is expected to stay for the next couple of days.
Unconfirmed reports said the first gentleman had undergone angioplasty and even a heart bypass. An angioplasty is a medical procedure that uses a balloon to open narrowed or blocked blood vessels of the heart.

One thing I notice that is different between reporting of news in the Philippines and Japan or elsewhere is that news are have the tendency to be “bitin” depending apparently on who can pay.
If the news subject is moneyed and the article is not good, the news is immediately considered closed, mute and academic, but when it is good, you see it in print for days with all those spins to make the moneyed subject look smart if not good.
Look at the attempt for example to garner sympathy for example for the Fat Guy, who insists on his privacy kuno pero mahilig naman ng publicity. I feel like puking in fact every time I read or see the picture of this guy trying to do an Imelda as when he once visited a slum area near the palace by the murky river with someone even holding an umbrella for him (nakakabakla sa totoo lang!)and pretending to be really concerned and generous. Nakakasuka talaga, especially when he can do such things without publicity if he really want to invoke his privacy. But look, he is even seen now bossing everybody around. Ang sama pa ng bibig!
The truth is if this Fat Guy does not want to be in the news, he could have stayed private and not meddle in public affairs. He should have stopped even from telling gambling lords for example, directly or indirectly, that he would order their operations closed if they would not contribute not less than 5M pesos to their private fund and/or foundation. Just who is this guy kidding?
In fact, he does not even have to be in the news when he goes to the hospital. He could in fact have been safely diagnosed in the Malacanang Clinic that Senator Loi Estrada says is complete and in fact being used to render free service to the less fortunate. In fact, with Marcos getting sick of Lupus before, the clinic is workable enough to find a cure for any kidney problem the Fat Couple may be having.
For this reason, there is more to the visit and being confined at St. Luke’s. Newshounds should start hunting for real news like some oplan to hasten making the Fat Unano a queen!

(2ND UPDATE) First Gentleman Jose Miguel “Mike” Arroyo is to undergo an angioplasty Sunday morning at the St. Luke’s Medical Center in Quezon City, his brother told the Inquirer Saturday.
Negros Occidental Represenative Ignacio “Iggy” Arroyo confirmed earlier reports that his brother had a “heart-related problem” but insisted that the First Gentleman was in stable condition.
“He is OK. He is doing fine. He will have an angioplasty (Sunday) morning,” the lawmaker said in a telephone interview.

For me, I don’t care if the ImFatso is sick. Over here, the spouse of the PM does not get front page news when she gets sick as she tries to avoid publicity as expected of spouses like her who cannot charge her personal bills to the state.

The typhoon damage in Bicol is more important as a matter of fact, for once again we see the neglect of this bogus regime of the basic needs, etc. Pagkakakuwartahan na naman ni ungas iyan just like what happened in Leyte that received lots of donation from Japan. At least, the governor there has tried to make good use of the money she has received directly from donors here. I’ve given up using lard or animal fat as a matter of fact because over here, we’re very health conscious, but I still pine for my mother’s cooking. She used a lot of those animal fats as a matter of fact until one of my brothers died of a massive cerebral hemmorhage that must have been caused by eating lots of those fats.

Canada, as I read in our local paper here, donated immediate aid of one million Canadian $ half of it chanelled trhrough IRCF (Red Cross) and half to CIDA (Canadian International Development Aid Agency) which has its own emergency personnel and mostly for emergency supplies. Pretty sure that all aid will reach their intended purpose.
Nakakalungkot naman ang iniwan ni Reming sa Pilipinas. Hirap na nga ang mga tao, lalo pang napahirapan. Minsan hindi maiwasan ang magtanong kung mayroon ngang Diyos, at kung mayroon man anong justice mayroon siya. To question God about the sins and sufferings of human is a very complicated matter and the debate is never ending. Scholars from Biblical times to Presents, and even laymen has no answer to Questions Why.
But as human, we are equipped with the reasoning power which are absent in all other animal species. The very reason why a human person can develop tools to protect itself from elements of nature and harness the resources of the earth for its survival. But the same human is also equipt with the other side of power , The Dark Side, which he will use to destroy his fellow being to take its share of the earth.
As you summarized above the reason why so many of our countryman and women are deprived of their rightful share of these resources is because the Dark Side of that Human Race prevails in that part of the Earth. Very Few powerful people, we call the corrupt politicians and their Legions, They may have the names of the Arroyos, the Pidals, The Esperons, the Bolantes, The Garcis, and Etc.. And they can do a lot of damage, along with the damages that could have been avoided had the resources they had taken for themselves been used for the purpose. Millions and Billions of Stolen Governments funds that could have spent improving the livelihood and protecting the lives and the people against the Elements had been stashed away and never seen and the people we are now grieving have been the victims of the Dark Side and not of God wisdom. I am never religious, I never go to church, or prefer any religion over the other, But if there is God, He has nothing to with the Tragedy. It is nature Aggravated by the Negligence of our Political Leaders..

The Pandak has been plundering the treasury and spending the money for her own satisfaction. Flood, typhoon, earthquakes and volcanic eruption victims are left to the mercy of donors from overseas especially.
Lagas na lagas na sa totoo lang ang bulsa ng mga OFWs sa totoo lang. For the Leyte landslide victims for example, Japan alone gave a lot of donations for the victims there. Prefab houses and school buildings have been built in the town affected by the landslide. The Japanese donors were credited but the name of the Bansot was bigger even when all she did was pretend to be that concern. Sipsip din iong Governor although I can understand why she has to do that. Her province is more often than not the path of these natural calamities that she has to be friendly to the Bansot to get even just an artificial pat on the shoulder.
Is that graft and corruption in the making or already done, you bet it is! Langya talaga. Hawak sa leeg ang lahat ng hinayupak! Hindi daw worried si Bansot sa asawa niya. Hindi pala worried, siguro OK na ring ipagdasal na matuluyan na! Patawarin sila ng Dios!

When tsunami affected Indonesia, Thailand, India and neighboring countries, I was so touched when India proudly returned the money donation and said they can handle the disaster on their own, and instructed the donors to give the money instead to the most affected areas. To think that India was also worst hit by the tsunami!
In times like this in the Philippines, the affected poors become the lowest of beggars, while Glueria and cahoots are just too happy to receive donations from the first world countries. Ilang porsiento kaya ang nabubulsa nila? O ibinubulsa nila lahat?
Binubulsa ni Gaga, no doubt, and then, announce to the world that Philippine economy has improved with some donations maybe listed as national income!
This reminds me of stories of crime syndicates in Manila using single parents (mostly women) and children to do the asking for alms, ad they get paid or none at all if the collection does not reach the quota. It is one reason why I am reluctant to give alms to the poor in the Philippines.
Over in Japan, there are homeless people, too, but none openly beg the way the beggars do in the Philippines. Dito kasi puede kang duraan ng plema kung nagpapalimos ka. If you do not want to be spat at, you don’t beg, but try hard to find a job to support yourself. It is indeed a matter of discipline, I guess.

Surely, the crooks are apt to try to get sympathy for the InFatso to look fragile and onion-skinned even when he has a face as thick as cement. He has been released from the hospital with all the hospital staff seeing him off from the hospital. Parang celebrity ang ungas. So, who says that he is not a pablic pigyur? So, if he does not want to be in the limelight, he should be not showing himself in public places and acting like he holds an important position in the government. Not even the shoe lady sued that many for writing nasty things about her.
