Ellen,
The problem is how do you tell a crazy woman that? She should be sent to Mandaluyong as a matter of fact. No more St. Luke’s Hospital even when she may be sick of Lupus!
The Glue kakanselahin ang 2007 election?
Have a Heart, Your majesty, Queen of Evil!
Off-topic,
Anyway, may he rest in peace!
Florry, if the pilot was a colored man or Middle-Eastern guy, these US authorities would immediately announce it was a terrorist thing. It so happened the pilot was white and even a professional baseball player.

Check-in computer glitch delays dozens of Hong Kong flights
10.10.2006, 06:34 AM
HONG KONG (XFN-ASIA) – Thousands of tourists were left stranded or had to endure delays at Hong Kong’s airport today after a computer glitch crashed the check-in system, officials said.
Long queues of irate passengers stretched through the departures concourse as staff were ordered to begin manually checking-in travellers, causing delays to 30 flights by 4:00pm local time.
Describing the crash as a ‘hiccup,’ a statement from the Airport Authority, which runs the airport, said the problem was rectified for all but seven airlines soon after the problem became apparent at 5:00 am.
However, it said city centre check-ins were still affected throughout the afternoon and travellers were being advised to go straight to the airport to check in.
Earlier, airline Cathay Pacific confirmed one of its planes was forced to make an emergency landing after smoke was detected in the cockpit.
The Taiwan-bound Boeing 777 turned back to Hong Kong 12 minutes after take off on Monday night, it said.
A Cathay spokeswoman said the pilot had requested emergency tenders at the airport, but the plane made a successful landing. Engineers are investigating what caused the problem.

Wala talaga bang masabi?

If it happens, it happens!!!! We should press for the election in 2007. Problem is, gloria is afraid that majority of the winnable congrgessmen and seantors are from the opposition, that is why , gloria would move heaven and earth to cancel the elction in 2007
jinx
Ellen,
I thought the Singaw ng Bayan initiative by Lambino and his 9 million petitioners are still being scrutinized.
One Voice (which I support) and others haven’t presented their arguments yet vs PI; therefore, as things go, there should be elections unless the Constitution been changed overnight.
The 2007 elections will indeed be a test case.
If done in the most honest manner, no cheating whatsoever (ugh!), the elections next year will be like a referendum for the continuance or the discontinuance of Gloria at the helm.
We seem to have a credibility problem: THE COMELEC!
Yes, Nelbar, according to my friend in Malaysia, very smoky daw doon dahil sa fires/hazes na nangyayari sa Indonesia at karatig pook.
Point is why did they retain this agency that is USELESS in ensuring a clean election especially with these criminals running the government.
It should be scrapped. It is eating up a lot of taxpayers’ money, and no good service given them in return.
salamat goldenlion 🙂

Thai junta unveils new parliament —-inq7.net

Last updated 01:20pm (Mla time) 10/12/2006
BANGKOK — Thailand’s ruling junta on Thursday unveiled a new parliament dominated by military officials, retired bureaucrats and academics.
Thailand’s King Bhumibol Adulyadej approved the list of 242 names chosen by the military following last month’s bloodless coup, which ousted former premier Thaksin Shinawatra.
Under the interim constitution, the 250-strong interim National Assembly will act as both the House of Representatives and Senate for one year. The junta is expected to fill the remaining eight seats later.
The new members will not be able to vote on government matters, but will be able to question the kingdom’s new cabinet on policy.
Military officials took 35 seats, with retired government officials filling 43 seats, coup leader General Sonthi Boonyaratglin announced.
Former soldier and politician Chamlong Srimuang, who led the months of anti-Thaksin street protest that led up to the coup, will also join the parliament.
Chamlong, Thaksin’s former mentor, led the bloody demonstrations in Bangkok in 1992 that helped topple a military dictatorship and restore democratic rule.
Some 29 academics joined the assembly, which will also include 13 people from non-governmental organizations, 20 from the media and six bankers. Only four are politicians.
Although all the members of the new parliament were chosen by the military, the coup leader insisted the junta would not interfere.
Sonthi said the Senate would “oversee and set directions for drafting a new constitution.”
The interim charter grants wide-ranging powers to the leaders of the September 19 coup, formalizing their role in government and giving them the power to sack the new prime minister.
The military leadership has promised a new constitution and a general election by October 2007.

The local election of 2007 will be an acid test. The result will reveal the true sentiments of the people. Let us all hope that this will not be derailed by any means as Pandak and her minions are hell bent for this exercise not to materialize.
One good move was the passage of the Senate for an automated election count. Hopefully, this will be can happen in 2007.
Sana….
Emilio,
A friend told me that JdV went to Canada and was doing his dumbest to sell the ChaCha even when the newspapers in Manila say that it is likely to pass. Mukhang by hook or by crook itutuloy ng mga ungas iyan.
Itong NoKor pronouncements ni Bansot actually is meant to deviate attention to something that she and her legions are cooking up to hoodwink the Filipinos.
God willing, we will win!
Anna,
I say “God will, we will win!” I say this because I mean it.

What’s happened to the Panfilo Villaruel case. I understand from a friend that he was actually armless since he had his bodyguard with him, and he was in fact about to reveal facts and truths he knew about the Bansot, her husband and their cahoots when he was riddled with bullets by the SWAT team sent there by the Bansot. End of the story ang nangyari.
Sa Japan iyan, natanggal na iyong mga pulis na bumaril sa kaniya especially when all that he was holding was a telephone and he was talking to a radio announcer at DZBB. Kawawa naman.
Pati justice, binababastos! Kawawang bansa! 🙁 😡
Gloria’s side is very confident that its has the support of the majority, so is the opposition. Now the only problem is conducting a clean and honest reflection of the voters’ will in 2007 election and if the voters decide for the opposition then Gloria should forget about her Cha-Cha and concentrate on Governing until her term is done or be thrown out of office one way or another, which ever comes first. if she her administration slate wins in a unquestionably clean (is there such a thing?) election then, that an edorsement by the voters to her plans. So I’d say let the People decide.

To All:
Sorry that I’ve to bring this up in this talking point. I believe the threat is serious and important enough to merit everyone’s attention. My intent is for everyone to be cognizant of your surrounding. Cerrtainly, I don’t want create panic or chaos, it’s far from from the truth nor my objective.
Ms Ellen has enough on her plate to be policing everyone, and she can’t be a policewoman at the same. It’s even unfair to even suggest. I know she has tried, but still some are not listening. Also, I’d assumed that she trusted all of us to behave accordingly in accordance to unwritten ethical behavior as human being in this blog. In addition we are nothing but guests in her house. Hence, she deserve our respect and for making her house available for our comfort. Granted we are all sufficiently mature and professional to differentiate the right and wrong. But there is always the exception to the rule. You heard of school yard bully, it’s also here among us, a blog bully.
Yesterday, I signed on to post. Scrolling comments, I was shocked when I read that one of the blogger wants to kill me, in a threatening manner. I don’t think it was a funny joke, yet quite serious threat on my life. One just never know with all the thing going on around us.
npongco threatened to kill me. This is his exact words to me in verbatim, “I shoot straight to one’s head. Now if you would show your head, I shall put a hole in it. Or I chop if off using a Samurai…” To some of you, probably it was funny and just a cyberspace joke. However, I don’t know npongco from adams and I’m sure he doesn’t even know me except that I posted in this blog. So, in that premise, not knowing such person’s capability or behavior of what he’s capable, I’m treating this threat as very alarming. And I thought it will also serve as a grave warning to all the bloggers.
Again, my deep apology to all. All we want is a safe place to log where we can exchange ideas and not to be harassed.
Thank you for your time!
Vic,
I do think that there’w wide scepticsm as to whether there would be a clean elections in 2007.
We haven’t even solved the current Ombudsman decision which seems to be in bad shape already while the election counting machines apparently, can not be counted upon to be fool-proof.
The biggest, singular factor is Gloria’s personal machinery, rather Malacanang machinery.
I personally do not believe the 2007 election will be clean. Too many factors negating the dream of an honest to goodness elections. The most negative factor being Gloria herself.
I agree with Anna de Brux: “I personally do not believe the 2007 election will be clean.” With a Gloria, who happens to be a MASTER CHEATER, LIAR and THIEF!? Any person who is marred with suspicion, is doubted and disrespected!
Here we go again, “Hello…Garci.”
Just received word that GLORIA received a NEGATIVE ELEVEN (-11) in her rating? No matter what the Malacañan spin doctors will say about this-whether its an improvement or not-it still spells one thing:
GLORIA CONTINUES TO BE HATED!!!!!!!!!
How can candidates associated with a -11 win in the elections?! Only CHEATING will make any of them winners!
Onli in da Pilipins, ika nga!
The recent spate of bombings in Mindanao could be a prelude of what to come. We all do not know what this administration is up to. Enrile has been terrorizing the senate, could this be another ploy? They are trying to railroad the passing of the Anti-terror Bill. Should this bill pass, the political opposition would surely be rounded up. Fake charges will be leveled against them. The administration is running out of options to push their Cha-Cha bid. They know their hooliganism had been exposed. A declaration of martial law or the Anti-terror Bill are their last options. What will it be, I don’t want to even entertain the thought.
Schumey,
Just yesterday, when I was speaking to my husband, that was what crossed my mind regarding “the recent spate of bombings in Mindanao.” In fact I asked him, is Gloria just finding reasons to declare martial law so that she will be able to do what she wants to do? My husband didn’t want to entertain the thought either. As he is “in contact” with this horrible government, my nusband was edgy that the phone could be bugged. One never knows, indeed.
Toney, don’t bee too sensitive. There have been worse remarks and comments here than the alleged threat you mentioned. It was really a joke. I never and will never harm anyone. I apologize if you get scared. But the truth is, I would want to hug you if we meet and choke you not to death but to high heaven. I’m just sick of those trying to defending this real killer of the world, Bush. I just don’t like your unbalanced manner of presenting Bush and the US side when all events indicate to this man and country’s crimes against the world and humanity.
Do you know that America’s next target is Iran? This is the warning of concerned Americans, those who are in authority to study the world events and politics. The same scenario was evident prior to the attack on Iraq. America keeps telling Iran to suspend her nuke development; but actually what they want is for Iran to terminate it. Who should tell another country like Iran to develop a product even if this is nuke of their own when about nine nations already possess such? America has the most number of nuke missiles. Don’t you think it’s unfair?
Schumey, I can’t agree with you more. Enrile is another Amboy. He and Ramos were actually America’s point men during the Marcos regime. America used the two to topple Marcos government. You gotta believe it. The trouble in Mindanao is brewing for reasons. First, it’s to divert the people’s attention from the many scandals of this Arroyo government. Second and most of all, the Americans have long been eyeing the south due to its rich national resources and oil potential. In addition, it’s a very good military strategic place for the US especially now that there’s an imminent threat coming from Nokor. Oh yes, the US wants the bases back…soon and quick. In fact, there may already be bases in the south disguised as GIs’ housings. They claim they are there for medical and humanitarian reasons; but why are they with the Filipino soldiers engaged in combat with the enemies?
Correction: should read “natural resources” not “national”.
Also, if Nokor doesn’t have the nuke, America would have long invaded it. These days, possessing nuke is the best way to stop the bullying tactics of powerful nations like the US. Let’s see how tough Bush and his warlords are against Nokor. I bet you nothing’s gonna happen. Can they deal with China? And Russia? As for Japan, it’s all bla-bla just like their citizens. All they know is to raise their unsharpened samurais and shout Banzai then walk zigzag.
You made a good point, Npongco. I also wondered why the American solidies in Mindanao “are…with the Filipino soldiers engaged in combat with the enemies?” And there’s pratically a news black-out on the on-goings there, which tends to be suspicious, espeically if the American soldiers are indeed suppose to be only TRAINING the Filipino soldiers…
Right you are, Chabeli. Thanks for taking note of my comments. First of all, my sincere apology again to Toney if I have offended and unintentionally threatened him. Other than being an American dog, I find his ideas very good and helpful. Now back to these GIs in the south, more and more troops are indeed arriving. I just read in the paper that a US Marine was caught carrying ammunition when he arrived at our airport. He claimed these bullets were for their training exercise. What if this happens to a Filipino who arrives in the US airport? See the double standard and abuse of these GIs? These white pigs think they are the lords of the world. And they were corrupted by this mentality due to their leaders like Bush and the US foreign policy that remains the same for years.
Yes, I see your point on the “double standard.” That is why I believe that America should change their foreign policy. It came as a shock to most Americans when 9/11 happened-they did not realise that they had ENEMIES big time-it wasn’t really that other “groups” disliked them, but what floored them were indeed those who HATED them with a passion and were willing to give up their lives to kill Americans at all cost-as what was witnessed by the world in 9/11.
I guess when you are a super power, you tend to be arrogant and hear only what you want hear. Look at Donald Rumsfeld. Remember his “Shock & Awe” line? I still recall his pep talk on television before the invasion of Iraq. He said that the American soldiers would be given flowers and embraced by the Iraqi people as the American soldiers would be liberating them from Saddam Hussein. Has this scenario ever happened? What the American soldiers got were suicide bombers, and a country in the brink of a civil war! Sad for the young American soldiers in Iraq. They were Shocked & Awed!

Off topic…Got this news from the Manila Standard Today:
PRESIDENT Gloria Macapagal Arroyo has ordered her graft busters to run after former Agriculture Undersecretary Jocelyn Bolante, who is accused of giving money to politicians allegedly to help her win the 2004 presidential election, an official said yesterday.
The order resulted from a seven-month old investigation that started on March 2—but without the fanfare that usually attended opposition investigations, Presidential Anti-Graft Commission chairman Constancia de Guzman said.
She said that once the commission wrapped up the case, she would ask the justice department to file an extradition case against Bolante, who is detained in Los Angeles for violating American immigration laws.
Opposition senators accuse Bolante of doling out P728 million in fertilizer funds to congressmen to help Mrs. Arroyo win in 2004, and they want him back for questioning. He snubbed five Senate hearings on the scam last year, flying to the United States on Dec. 12 just as the Senate was holding its fifth hearing on it.
“The President called me up around the end of 2005 and told me to include the fertilizer fund mess in our investigation,” De Guzman said.
“She was the one who prodded us to look into Mr. Bolante’s case, and I told her we could no longer run after him because he left before we could even docket a case.”
Mrs. Arroyo then ordered her to look into the so-called fertilizer scam, and this was pending an executive order that would empower her commission to investigate private individuals including Bolante. That order came three months later.
De Guzman said her agency started investigating the fertilizer scam after Senator Ramon Magsaysay Jr. released a Senate report on it.
“The President said this should be our priority case,” De Guzman said.
“This is the biggest case we have, and it’s like tracing a spider’s web to get to the spider.”
She said the conviction of two Cabinet secretaries for corruption before the year ended would help her agency pursue Bolante’s case.
She said the secretaries’ cases were two of 11 that she hoped to wrap up shortly, and they were apart from a probe of undersecretaries and assistant secretaries accused of graft and the recent dismissal of three presidential appointees for the same offense.
“We will finish these 11 cases before the year ends,” she said.
“We are confident we will get a conviction because the Office of the President has never reversed the recommendations of the [commission].”

Is this another gimmick of Gloria?
npongco:
Thank you so much for recognizing the importance of civilized dialogue. I have no enmity toward you, never had and also to anyone. All I ever wanted is to be able to present my point of view, particularly on the subjects that are relevant that I find significant. Considered the incident forgotten, and lets start with a clean slate.
Others may be able to hide the crimes, but they don’t have the monopoly to silence the truth!
Thanks Toney. As I said, I will never hurt a fly. I value life for life is beautiful. I was also offended by your suggestion that I go and see a medical doctor. I think that should have been directed to our friend from Japan.
“Ewan, basta ako ano man bansa ang humawak sa Pilipinas oks na rin huwag lang itong tiyanak.”
Hahahah!
Here’s a good one from Herman Tiu Laurel. So, this Gloria is also a Korean with a Korean name…Kim Glo Rya:
“If Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo points to Kim Jong Il as a nuclear terrorist, her thumb is pointing right back at her as Kim Glo Rya, the greater terrorist. At least, Kim Jong-Il is bullying the fully armed bully Bush, Kim Glo Rya, with her police and military, is not only bullying rallyists and demonstrators with batons and tear gas but abducting and killing unarmed, unaware and defenseless civilians, journalists and activists. The truth is, the North Koreans are admirable in their 50 years’ resistance to the world’s most pernicious terrorist nation, America, a terrorism recorded in American writer William Blum’s book “Rogue State.”
PGMA will be ousted..before the year end..am sure of that!!
my only wish is let us all unite after all the dancing in the street and clean all the mesh she and her evil minions they created on us and in this country!!and after this, let us all be vigilant that never again this kind of people will triumph on us!!
Mabuhay ang Pilipinas and God bless us all!!
ocayvalle:
I’ll take your words. I already got a good bottle of wine, saving it for the appropriate moment. I’ll be on the street celebrating, when the time come. I can’t wait. Also my greatest hope, if ever such moment will arrive. The Arroyos shall be held responsible for all their crimes against the Pilipino nation. Of what they did to the country, the Arroyos doesn’t deserve anything outside the prison system. They must all remain in the Philippines to pay for their crimes, including their loyal subjects. Arroyos should not be allowed to enjoy the bliss of life. Remember the Marcosses. Philippines doesn’t have another twenty years or so to recover all the loots the Arroyos stole. Crime must pay!

Re: Warning Ni Prof. Miranda- No 2007 Election.
The main issue is do we trust the COMELEC to conduct an honest and free election/plebiscite/referendum? The present Abalos led Comelec cannot be trusted because of their questionable integrity and loyalty. There’s no doubt that Chairman Benjamin Abalos is a Malacanang loyal lapdog. He is well-protected by Gloria and Jose Pidal crime family. Ex-Commissioner Virgilio Garcillano rigged the 2004 presidential election results in favor of his political benefactor, Gloria Arroyo. The crocks at the provincial and local levels are still manning their outposts. What revamp? Most of the rank and file Comelec employees are political appointees or recommended by politicos, big landlords and political dynasties. What do we expect? They can manipulate election results when the price is right and pressures from the ruling clans. Election watchdogs, monitors and observers must focus their attention on city and municipal registrars. Election results for every congressional district are decided at local levels. They are election magicians or manipulators.
On Yuko’s post re: Capt. Panfilo Villaruel. I was in fact listening to Villaruel’s conversation with Arnold Clavio when in the middle of the conversation a loud bang, later found out that it was the explosive that opened the metal door to the tower’s control room, cut their talk and the next thing I heard were shouting, then silence before Villaruel’s last gasps and grunts were heard as he apparently died still holding the cellphone. A truly tragic, aweful ending that could have been avoided had the ground commander kept his options open.
His men were trained to neutralize terrorists, I don’t understand why “neutralize” had to always mean “kill”. Gen. Atutubo (was it?) obviously had the radio conversation monitored, as any normal-thinking foot soldier would do, much less a General of his supposed caliber. He had known there and then that Villaruel and his companions were not going to damage the control tower, not this one that had his name on brass in its facade. They got orders to kill, and kill they did.
I was stunned in awe at what just happened to the Capt., but it was the next day that I found out from his pictures in the papers that I’ve had encountered the man, his PADC office was less than a hundred meters from my own office in Domestic Road.
To this day, I still haven’t the slightest idea what pushed him to do just what he did, except from one interview where he said, “Sobra na talaga ang kurapsyon”. Likewise, no other investigation was conducted, either on the assault or the corruption he was harping about.
Moral of the story? Don’t wish to stop corruption in this goverment, it will stop you first.
Today’s headlines: Arroyo wants Wholesale Electricity Spot Market price manipulators punished.
Two years headline: Filipinos want 2004 election manipulators punished.
Alin ang unang matutupad? Wish ko lang…
Npongco, in another post you said:”As I said before and this was concurred by another member, I think Ellen lacks the ability to police this blog.”
If you don’t like the way Ellen is running the blog, why are you here?
I have to admire Ellen’s patience at hindi ka pa pinapalayas.
Instead of abusing Ellen’s tolerance, maybe we should reciprocate it with responsible commentaries. As she always reminds us, stick to issues.
The information I got TongueInAnew was he was unarmed since he has already a bodyguard to supposedly protect him, and he was about to reveal the anomalies he knew when he was gunned down.
I sympathize with his family because they are unable to seek justice for his and his bodyguard’s death, not under this bogus regime.
Such is unthinkable in fact in Japan. Over here, we have a powerful Japan Federation of Bar Associations that will surely pursue such sensational case as this barbaric extermination of a whistle blower in court until justice is done.
This could also make the morning, afternoon and evening talk shows until the truth is out. In fact, a lot many cases here are solved with the help of the more powerful Japanese press that cannot be bribed.
This should read: The information I got TongueInAnew was he was unarmed since he HAD already a bodyguard to supposedly protect him.
Hopefully, this will be a case that would be pursued when the time comes that Filipinos are able to return the rule of law in the Philippines. I would recommend a more powerful bar association. Unfortunately, if you have lawyers like De Vera, et al, forget it. Sila-sila lang ang makikinabang!
I suspect GMA and DILG’s move in suspending Mayor Trinidad of Pasay City and the upcoming suspension of Mayor Binay of Makati, are preludes of some things to come. If the Supreme Court upheld the Singaw ng Bayad petition, they are anticipating mass rallies, and so if these two Mayors are out, and put there own men as OICs no permits will be made available to the rallyists. If the Supreme Court decides otherwise, there will be an election and these two officials can not campaign effectively for the candidates of the opposition. Mandurugas at mandaraya talaga!
I remember a friend of mine commenting on the meeting de avance at the EDSA prior to the march of “the bathless and the toothless” to Malacanang. He was so disgusted with Enrile and Brenda for they were practically pushing everyone there to arm and risk their lives to take back Malacanang by force.
Now, I wonder if they were acting then on cue from Malacanang, for they were not touched and held legally responsible for their action.
One cannot help getting suspicious and wonder why they did that and then in the end turned as the most loyal of the those licking the ass of the bogus president they professed then to remove through a people’s power. I find this unbelievable as a matter of fact.
One thing sure though is they are working for only their own personal vested interests!
Point is, Florry, why are Filipinos allowing the bogus president to remove that easily any local government official not licking her stinky ass without a fight from the people who voted for these officials?
Hopefully, Binay will have better constituents who sill fight tooth and nail for their right to choose their mayor, and they can give this crook the dose of bitter medicine that she apparently forces them to swallow.
The Glue is pushing and pushing her luck and stretching it to the limit, and that’s good for the people, because in no time at all, when her luck runs out, it just snaps, and that’s the end of her. Then it’s time to say good bye to Ate Glo.
Yuko,
You’re right.
God willing, we will win!
Yes! We will! That calls for a celebration!
Magkita-kita tayo sa Manila.

Chi,
Really?! I was NOT aware that the Manila Standard Today “was Glue Pidal’s diaryo. Spinning wheel iyan ng bansot sa ilog-pasig.”
Thanks for letting me know, Chi. I will know better next time.
Ocayvalle,
You say that “PGMA will be ousted..before the year end..am sure of that!!”
Ay SANA na nga!
Kaso from what I gather, this administration has its nose, eyes, ears, and God knows what elese, on the ground. Every month they are pretty much on alert mode, waiting for the so-called “something” to happen. They pretty much live month-to-month, not knowing when the “nuclear” bomb will explode on them! Just have to catch her off-guard. As one military person told me, “read the stars, the answer to the time is there.” Hmmm…
Hi Chabeli,
Manila Standard Today is a state-owned medium. But I recommend you continue reading it once in a while because most writers there toe the Palace line and by reading them, we at least, stay atuned to what is on Gloria’s mind.
I don’t of course, belittle the writers of the Standard, whose job it is, simply put, is to broadcast government propaganda.
Havins said that, we should know that in principle, a state-owned asset belongs to the Republic and not to the person sitting in Malacanang, least of all to members of her fellow squatters’ tribe.
Following that logic, the Manila Standard is by right, moral and legal, owned by the citizens of the Republic because it is their money that is used to operate it, to print it and to employ people writing for it.
Gloria may be forgetting that while she is perched in Malacanang, her “office” is MERELY tasked with managing it (or delegating it for management) but the Manila Standard should be the voice of the people of the Philippines and not the voice of Gloria Macapagal!
Ever wondered why DILG Secretary Puno is so low profile? Hardly ever hear of him, in fact. But that ‘s what makes me suspicious. This guy is the smartest election strategist/operator/manipulator there ever was. Parang gun-for-fire for all presidents. Watch him do it again for Gloria and her allies. And he’s a computer whiz.
ystakei-san mentioned this: “What’s happened to the Panfilo Villaruel case. I understand from a friend that he was actually armless since he had his bodyguard with him, and he was in fact about to reveal facts and truths he knew about the Bansot, her husband and their cahoots when he was riddled with bullets by the SWAT team sent there by the Bansot. End of the story ang nangyari.”xxxx
TRUE….also that post by T-I-A.
I have a close kamag-anak who worked as a ATC[Air Traffic Controller] right there in NAIA! And he mentioned things that could shock anyone! Villaruel was a man of honor and he was well-respected in his field. He has mentored most of our men there.
He has since left his job and the country becoz AFTER that Villaruel incident, there was clear and constant cover-up.
In other words, WALANG NANGYARI. Bagkus, lalo pang nagkaroon ng unrest among them and the people who man one of the most important and effective arm of the government.
OUR ATCs are the best in this part of the world. Hence, they are wanted and sought for by other countries. Most have left for greener pastures. IF ONLY the government heard their plea for a better and just pay, they could have stayed and served their country more. These men and women worked even when the ordinary Pinoy are celebrating Christmas or New Year with their families. Nevertheless, their OT pays were a year-or-so-late. They are all Proffesionals in their field and underwent extensive training, YET….they receive less than the ordianry janitor in GSIS.
With glue at the helm of governemnt, nothing can be done: she only cares to enrich herself and debu along with her cronies who grab every crumb that is supposed to revert back to the taxpayers.
OUT YOU GO, glue….
AND STAY OUT!

Baka naman BUSY…as in busy talaga!?
A very dear kamag-anak has seen a RonaldoPuno-look-a-like 🙄 check into a 5-star hotel a number of times.
That hotel is famous for its upscale and elite clientele near EDSA with a has-been starlet initialed A.M. in tow.
Siya kaya yun?

Hi, Anna de Brux,
Merci for your comments on the Standard. I try to read as much as I can, pro and anti, so that I will be more objective in my opinions; just like those in this blog whose opinions differ from mine, it’s always good to see two sides…para balance naman. Kaso, I really can’t stomach Gloria-whatever side I look at her, she’s still short and ugly! Ha ha ha.
—————————
Hi, Phil Cruz,
I understand your suspicion. I’m glad you see that, too. That is how Ronnie Puno operates-very sly. Even during the time of Erap, he was like that, too. He operates better “behind the scenes.” This is the “backroom” operators-like Tomy Alcantara, Bubuy Macapagal (the brother of Gloria), Indika Aboitiz, Ricky Razon, and I can’t remember now who else. They are the ones behind the scene; for instance they are the ones who are behind the suspension of opposition mayors, etc. THEY SHOULD BE UNMASKED! WE GOTTA WEAKEN THE ENEMY, right?
Oh dear, Anna de Brux, I must outta my mind na! Just remembered now that Ricky Razon nga pala owns the Standard!
————-
Chi,
Tama! Totoo!
I totally forgot that! Ang utak ko yata ang nag spin! Ha ha.
Huh? Chabeli, Is that so? The Standard is not state-owned? It is privately-owned?
I thought it was state-owne hence, I spoke about the citizens of the republic having a right to speak through such medium.
Oui, Anna de Brux, c’est vrai, I confirmed it again wioth my source. ICTSI owns it, which is owned by Ricky Razon. Apparently it isn’t state owned. Maybe it’s the Manila Times? Although I know Dante Ang is involved in Manila Times.
I rememebered Ricky Razon when I mentioned about the “backroom boys” of Gloria to Phil Cruz.
Thanks for confirming Chabeli.
Gosh, apologies to the puppies of Arroyo out there in the Standard. I really thought Manila Standard Today was state-owned (It isn’t the Journal now, is it?)
Hope that my point in my earlier point which was to point out that state-owned medium is people’s medium had hit the point which was actually the point of my message.
Cheers.
Nelbar, I agree that America’s next target is Indonesia. That’s why they’re increasing their troops in Mindanao which is closest to Indonesia. Then, the Australians have reached a military alliance with RP. Australia was among the countries greatly affected by the Indonesian terrorists.
That’s in Asia-Pacific, though. In the Middle-East, America’s target is still Iran. The US’s plan has been delayed due to problem with Nokor. Unless the issue with Nokor is solved, the US may find it harder to attack Iran. The world community would oppose this.
Taipan, Yuko, to this day, I’m still uneasy on why Atutubo’s troops had to waste the likes of a Villaruel who was of unquestionable patriotism, talent unparalleled. In fact, to prove that he has not totally crippled air travel to the Philippines at the time he controlled the NAIA Tower, he made his son, who was then piloting a commercial aircraft, land easily and safely at Mactan Airport.
Dialogue could have saved the day, and the life of this man who had nothing but good intentions for aerospace development in the country. He could have made millions abroad by allowing foreigners to exploit his talent but he chose to stay in the name of service.
I’ve talked with people in the nearby private hangars as well as his people at PADC, whom I meet in nearby watering holes, it seems everyone is clueless, and the family doesn’t want to speak either.
Such a waste.

On Mayors Trinidad and Binay, isn’t it interesting to note that of all the mayors in Metro Manila, only San Juan, Pateros, Navotas and Malabon (by coincidence, the smallest municipalities in terms of land area) do not have pending cases whether civil, criminal or administrative?
The Ombudsman’s (or Ombudsbitch) actions are simply harassment of Arroyo foes. It would also be interesting to know what charges have been filed against true-blue bootlickers/sycophants Atienza of Manila, Tinga of Taguig, Fernando of Marikina, Belmonte of QC, and Gonzales of Mandaluyong.
Did you know that the new huge building complexes in Fort Bonifacio’s Business District paid measly occupancy permits to Taguig instead of the usual billions that Makati collects? And that even Tinga’s compadres have made a killing as contractors in the projects? I know one which runs an obscure garage-sized electrical “factory” in an old Las Piñas beachhouse in polluted Manila Bay who got purchase orders from about eight tall towers being constructed there because of his closeness to Mayor Freddie. Those orders alone ran in the hundreds of millions, amounts this guy never even dreamed he would earn.
For his part, Atienza is likewise known to be generously giving occupancy permit discounts to new buildings, only if he got free units for himself. He just gave one away to Manny Pacquiao and City Hall even paid for it.
Fernando, I guess, has several human rights complaints against her for being an avatar for hitler-husband Bayani who actually still calls the shots. Des is his dummy.
Nelbar:
Marami namang bombay na nag-i-invest sa Pilipinas. Diyan na nga nakatira. Our katulong used to frighten me about those turbaned “bombays” selling blankets, carpets and kulambo when she wanted me to take a nap. That stuck that I was so prejudiced against the “bombays.” I have outgrown the prejudice though I still feel suspicious of them!
You bet, TongueInAnew, the Philippines lost a great man. Hopefully, someday, I hope justice will be done, and this man will be avenged in death. In Japanese, we say, “Kataki!”
I understand that he was the one who invented a counting machine for a cleaner election that a lot many OFWs in fact patronized. It’s probably also one reason he was killed on the order of this Bansot that he ironically helped position at the palace by the murky river, but found his invention a hindrance to the cheating she and her cahoots were concocting at that time.
God willing, justice will soon be done!
Yuko, that’s fresh, regarding the counting machines. I know he was an inventor and also dabbled in electronics. It’s not far-fetched that he might have just created the right antidote against election cheating.
Yes, TongueInAnew, there were those talks in the OFW forums about supporting a move to push througn Botong Pinoy (?) with the use of Villaruel’s invention. I was in fact lukewarm about such move because there was no guaranty that using such machines will make election in the Philippines clean withouth the Filipinos in general willing to make sacrifices to make the election clean.
I was going to say “keep” instead of “make” but on second thought, there was nothing really to keep because elections in the Philippines have always been dirty. I have actually wondered why there would even be killings during election, and people dying for those candidates who are not worth voting for as a matter of fact.
With the example of Manlapat, the guy who produced the fake document of FPJ’s father’s supposedly bigamous relationship with some woman named after a character in a Rizal novel, there was no guaranty that they will not tamper data being fed into the machine to make the Bansot win.
BTW, a South Korean becomes the first Asian UN Sec-Gen since 1971. Let’s see how he performs. Buti na lang hindi tuta ni Bansot. Kundi kurakot lalo ang UN!
T-I-A, Ystakei-san,
My kamag-anak, once an ATC at our own airport, was tutored by Villaruel himself, and my pamngkin has nothing but praises for the old chap. He has some inventions of sort that Malacanang has dilly-dallied and made Villarule look silly and outdone. The poor man was just asking for his invention of sorts to be recognized. Apparently, becoz of some red tapes in government, he was left to wait for the umppth time. Perhaps, out of desperation, Villaruel had to do something drastic to get the attention of the powers-that-be. He has been known to be a gentleman and full of ideas for the betterment of the ATC, yet, his ideas were not implemented.
His murder was a great loss to the country. He didn’t deserve to die in such manner: His brains were seen scattered up to the ceiling of the NAIA tower becoz of the inhumane way he was treated by the goon’s men.
I think he was about to expose something to the media, but was stopped. Others are in the know. Those men who have worked for and with him.
Truly, discontentment, even now, prevails within the men who man Philippine airspace…..
On Manila Standard Today (a merger of Manila Standard and Today newspapers: you are right Chabeli, it’s owned by Ricky Razon of ICTSI. Razon is very pro-Gloria now. He is “pro” with anybody who is in power.
Manila Times is owned by Dante Ang, former publicist of Gloria Arroyo who is now head of Commission on Filipinos. He was given cabinet rank for that because he wants to be called “Secretary”. Needless to say, it has to support Arroyo.
Dante Ang bought the Times from Mark Jimenez DAW, who put in P20 million to get it from the Gokongweis. It’s a big DAW because someone told me “Ask if there was really an excange of P20 million between Ang and Jimenez. Baka papel lang yan.”
As for the People’s Journal and other publications under the Journal group of companies, it’s now in the hands of the family of Kokoy Romualdez. They were able to get it back from PCGG.
Taipan:
Talagang kawawa! With their number, the SWAT team could have just put cuffs on his wrist and take him to court, but then, that was not the purpose of the order to murder him. It was definitely to silence him forever and even his death a mystery.
It’s one case they should pursue to prosecute when the rule of law is restored. Right now, it is “an impossible dream”! May it be the will of majority of Filipinos “to beat the unbeatable foe” if not now, soonest possible!
I wonder what kind of agreeement Romualdez made with the Bansot for all the concessions given them. One apparently is the solidification of the Visayan bloc for the Bansot, I guess.
Regodon na naman sila! 🙁
you all think gloria will be moved by professor miranda’s warning? you’re all mistaken! she will order tons of epoxy and stick herself on the presidential chair which will be glued at the entrance door of malacanan palace. para hindi siya mapaalis sa pwesto.
Ms. Ellen,
Thanks for the info on the ownership thingy. Now it is CLEARER to me about the Romualdezes. I know for a fact kasi that they were dealing left and right with the PCGG!

Manila Standard has the lowest circulation in the country. Very few would want to advertize except those companies that are asking or waiting for Malacanang’s favors. How the MS survives this long? Well, it’s Pidal and Malacanang funding it.

A truly tragic, aweful ending that could have been avoided had the ground commander kept his options open.
if this case is still open or will be opened. arnold clavio can give all the details ow what really had transpired. that is, if he wasn’t bribed yet. or he has still his balls between his legs.
…details of what really transpired. of he still has his balls…..
or he still has his balls….
T.I.A and Mrivera:
Bakit nga ba hindi makasuhan gayon ang linaw-linaw ng mga pangyayari? Kasi utos ng Malacanang, that’s why!
Mrivera: I know Arnold Clavio would not cower at all, he’s obviously been fighting the “overstaying Malacañang visitor” as much as he tries to hide it but when bombarded with news about scams left and right, he can’t help but show his true color, he’s one of us. Arnold has been directly involved in several issues and he has not hidden what his real sentiments are.
For example, in the Jose Pidal case, he said that the specimen signatures Iggy handwrote were not the same ones submitted by PNP crime lab as evidence. A forgery forged twice over!
In the Hello Garci scandal, it was him who was sought by Ong for his own tell-all on the tapes and ISAFP and Doble. In fact, it was him who gave refuge to Doble’s lover-witness, Mayette who in return gave him exclusive interviews as an ISAFP insider.
Regarding Villaruel’s case, he knew that the AFP was monitoring his conversation with the Capt., and with that he also knew that at the point there is no reason for the troops to kill him. That would have stopped Atutubo to order his men back and proceed with an alternative course. But what do you know? Plan A was to murder Villaruel and Plan B was probably to bomb the whole building down.
Yup, TongueInAnew. Iyan din ang sabi ng kaibigan ko. Never give up!
