Kawawang Pilipino.
There is a CONSEQUENCE to what these IDIOTS did! In time…in due time, they will pay the price! The people’s wrath, meaning the Filipinos, are a patient people. BUT there is a limit to what the people can take. It is not sociologically possible for people to take the sidelines and just watch things unfold forever. Like Mt. Mayon, the lava is spewing. EDSA-4 may be beyond anyone’s mind.
It’s dangerous when Survey records show that hopefulness is as its “‘lowest level’”. SUPER ATSAY can’t even motivate her people.
Chabeli, it’s sad but let’s admit that his Gloria has long prepared for another Edsa. She’s ready for a bloody war. As long as she has the backing of the US (like Israel), she will keep on attacking her enemies until all are bought or eliminated.
Kawawang Pilipino?! We shouldn’t feel sorry for the Pilipinos. We, Pilipinos are perhap deserve Gloria in Malacanang since we are part to blame for letting Gloria dictate. It shouldn’t be happening, yet bogus Gloria has managed to whatever and whenever she wishes at her command, and of course everybody jump, since they all part of the Gloria’s corrupt system of government. One big happy family in Malacanang, only the invited are welcome. They’re the richest of the rich of the Philippines, they’ve never known what it’s like to work for an honest pesos for an honest days of work. Imagine, they can lie, steal and cheat and nobody is accountable of answerable to any law of the land. What a perfect set up. Couldn’t ask for a better sytem than Gloria’s government. Each one of them corrupt are laughing all the way to the bank, and again the kawawang Pilipinos are left holding an empty bag. Don’t cry for me Philippines as the song goes, for one day the Super Atsay in Malacanang, in a matter of time will be judged as we all are. The law of science, inevitable, that nothing last forever. Marcos end came, Gloria’s end will also. You can take that to the bank!
Off Topic: Are we seeing a little Lebanon today or about to see one in our country?
ZAMBOANGA CITY – Soldiers clashed Wednesday with Abu Sayyaf militants tied to Jemaah Islamiya terror network in the southern island of Jolo, the military said.
Officials said the fighting erupted after Marines pursuing the Abu Sayyaf caught up with a group in Patikul town. There were no immediate reports of casualties, but officials claimed troops recovered an M-16 automatic rifle and a .45-caliber pistol left behind by the Abu Sayyaf.
Ninety eight percent of the adults in this country are decent, hardworking, honest Filipinos. It’s the other lousy two percent that get all the publicity. But then, they get “elected”! or dshall we say, they pay their way to get there?

Statement of the Counsels for the Defense of Liberties (Codal) on REFUSAL TO ATTEND HEARINGS ENDANGER OFW EVACUATION: EXECUTIVE OFFICIALS LIABLE FOR CONTEMPT OF THE SUPREME COURT
At least we can say that he “tried although in vain” to win back the trust and confidence, if not the heart, of the Filipinos. Itong si gloria, na talagang UBOD KAPAL ng MUKHA, ang pinaiiral ay…”WALA AKONG PAKIALAM, BASTA AKO ANG MASUSUNOD!”. Imagine, she and her “tentacles” even “came-out” with “rumors” that they are planning to “disband” the MARINES, citing the continued “unrest” among the said service’s ranks.
Spartan, I’ve always maintain that Marcos cannot be compared to Gloria. Even Marcos’ worst critics now concede that he’s a saint compared to this Gloria. Many anti-Marcos groups that include media people have now changed their opinion about Marcos. I don’t know if Ellen does too.
Marcos destroyed our democracy. That cannot be forgotten. Martial law was the darkest chapter of our history.
Just because Gloria is doing the same,if not worse, doesn’t mean that Marcos was innocent. Gloria’s crimes does not absolve Marcos of what he did to the Filipino nation.
One thing you can say of Marcos, he had savvy. While this Arroyo is coarse. But pareho na rin yun. They have committed crimes against the Filipino people.
Spartan:
On the other hand, I cannot help wondering if the reason why she is allowed by heaven above to stay still at the palace by the murky river is exactly what you have stated above—corruption beyond redemption by this kampon ni Satanas to expose the Catholic Church that is essential in bringing the people to the truth so they can be free.
I don’t know but for the past few days, I feel so calm and confident that the removal of the Pandak is not going to be anything like the removal of Marcos because this time, it is going to be a pure people’s initiative carried out in reconciliation and unity unlike when Marcos was removed and we see a clear division of the Filipino people with the so-called “silent majority” in fact siding with Marcos than with those called by various names such as “trapos,” etc. who removed him so they could continue what they had been doing before, during and after Marcos.
Right now, Filipinos should be watchful and take heed to the signs of an impending doom if they remain indifferent and allow the Pandak to stay longer for there is the tell-tale signs that the Pandak is merely a figure-head now and the country is in fact run by the military. Take note of the attempt now to tie up with the military junta (SLORC) in Burma that my Burmese friend want to retain as the true name of their country.
This should read: Take note of the attempt now to tie up with the military junta (SLORC) in Burma that my Burmese FRIENDS want to retain as the true name of their country.
Note the rumor about the name of the country being changed likewise according to the Pandak’s plan for an enchanted kingdom with her as queen.

The violent overthrow of Romania leader Nicolae Ceausescu in 1989 can happen to abusive and corrupt Gloria Arroyo regime. Riots and massive street protests resulted in a summary trial and the execution of Ceausescu and his wife Elena. Returning OFW’s from Lebanon and other countries feel being abandoned, neglected and robbed (OWWA trust funds) may ignite massive protests. They shall pour their collective anger and dismay against the Arroyo regime in the streets. Abangan! The Revolt of the Working Class 2006.
Marcos destroyed our democracy? I beg to disagree Ms. Ellen. Your hatred for him has now been unmasked. If we are in democracy today, are we better off today than during the time of Marcos? Some of your colleagues have now changed their opinions of Marcos. Even the worst enemies like Satur Ocampo and Jovito Salonga have stopped their attacks on Marcos. In fact, many of his detractors now say he’s a lot better than this Gloria. Democracy per se is good; but it doesn’t always work in all countries especially the third world. This “democracy” formula is very much pomoted by the West for their own interest and benefit. Why can’t the US impose democracy on China which is now economically strong? Yes, we are in democracy but where are we now? It’s this false sense of feeling that democracy is good for the country why our leaders and politicians abuse this system. Deomcracy didn’t work for us…not even during Cory’s time. What worked in her time was the Kamag-anak Inc.
ystakei, to add up to what you said..>that gloria’s “removal”, would not be the same as what happened to the late Ferdinand Edralin Marcos
YES, you are right…because this time around, her “removal” from office would be a “bloody one”.
Last night’s news in TVPatrol seems a “premonitions” of things to come. Our kababayans who were doing a rally in front of Camp Aguinaldo, against the continued “political abductions and killings” by “clearly” suspected military personnel on civilian “militant activists”, were harrassed by some MPs, arguments broke down among the people and the military personnels, that resulted into a physical fights between the two groups. I was really happy on the last scenes shown, when I lone MP, who was left behind outside the camp’s gate by his companions, was “mauled” by the mob. He run “for dear life” to avoid further beatings, and retreated back inside like a “dog with his tail down and between his legs”.
Now…now..npongco, please no need for such words…”Marcos destroyed our democracy? I beg to disagree Ms. Ellen. Your hatred for him has now been unmasked”…I myself don’t like Marcos…but that doesn’t mean that “I HATE” him…and please…WE ARE NOT HERE TO TRY AND “UNMASK” ANYONE OR ANYBODY…I don’t “see” any ZORRO, BATMAN, or whoever “MASKED HERO” in here. All of US, that including you NPONGCO and ELLEN TORDESILLAS are “exchanging” our “personal and own views”. So please, you can “challenge” her opinion(s), but just “cut the crap” with these “theatrical -like” littanies. Plus, the “main course” in “our buffet” is gloria, NOT Marcos, Cory, FVR, or Estrada. WE are “straying away” from the “real” and “imminent” problem, a woman with a “dwarf-like” voice and stature, but an “evil heart” as big as the Araneta Coliseum.
Sorry Spartan. And to you Ms. Ellen, my sincere apology. I’m not pro-Marcos. In fact, my brother was a close friend of Nonoy Aquino who in one violent street protest took refuge in my brother’s friend’s house in Quezon City…Mariano Cuenco St. to be exact. My brother’s friend from Ateneo was Chinese with the last name of Chuang.
It was only years later when I realized the many false accusations thrown at Marcos. Among them and the most crucial one was when I learned Marcos was not the mastermind in Ninoy’s death. No less than my brother told me and he got it directly from the Aquino family. Cory and her family knew it was not Marcos but to keep her credibility and history intact favorable to her presidency, she and her family chose to keep silent. They didn’t want anymore to find the real mastermind. And I presume they have strong suspect or supects. But, they refuse to reveal it.
I just don’t understand why people still keep calling Marcos dictator. Even the media still brands him as such…calling him the late dictator Marcos. Why can’t they just call him the late Marcos even without mentioning his office as President?
Again, Marcos destroyed democracy? Who brought it back? Cory? Did she? I leave the answer to you all.
npongco Says:

Again, Marcos destroyed democracy? Who brought it back? Cory? Did she? I leave the answer to you all.
I for one is not saying it was Corazon Cojuangco Aquino…WHO is such a “broad word” to describe the things that led to that “genuine” series of “events” which resulted to the “BRIEF” period of our lives when we ALL experienced “TRUE DEMOCRACY”, where the basic foundation of power in governance was held by the PEOPLE. I don’t know, but after 20 years, the scenes of those last fateful days in February 1986 is still the reason that I (and I think all of us) am PROUD TO BE A FILIPINO. Certainly (we would go back again), Benigno Servillano Aquino’s death “ignited” the already “combustible” sentiments of many (okey, not all) “common” Filipinos. The man who drives the bus, the woman that sells the fish, Mang Pedro that sells fishballs, Carlo and Carla that attends college, the Ellens and Crispins that writes in the “free” newpapers…the lists of WHO would go on, but the bottom line would be it was the common Juan and Juan dela Cruz that “brought back” as I have already said…”that ONE MOMENT IN OUR LIFETIME” where the POWER of a leader hiding behind the armed forces that was provided to him by the CONSTITUTION was NO MATCHED to the MIGHT of the “high tide” of HUMANITY that loudly spoken as they “stomped” their feet…”Enough is enough!”. No ONE man can say it was “I” who brought back that so-called “democracy”…that ALL OF US were still “clinging on” until WE’ve lost it right after those “CRAZY” days in January 2001 when the same “common” Juan and Juana dela Cruz was “duped” and “betrayed” by a woman named gloria macapagal-arroyo and her “bandits” in helping her “KILL” that DEMOCRACY.
So npongco, YOU, I, and ANYONE can “HELP” but can not be the “ONLY ONE” WHO can bring back what we’ve lost…a “TRUE DEMOCRACY” in our Motherland.
Yes Spartan, Benigno Aquino’s death ignited the sentiments of many. Of course he did…his dead body with blood still on his clothes and face was paraded in the streets for many days.
well guys, i hope we are not losing track here. like what i have read in the comments above, our focus should be on the shenanigans of gloria and her cohorts, and how desperately we want to be rid of her.
i wish the liver will do wonders to her……give her more cognac!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I see npongco…but actually, I was not “affected” or “influenced” by that…”his dead body with blood still on his clothes and face was paraded in the streets for many days.” …as I already have mentioned here before, I was in college when that EDSA People Power (the ORIGINAL) that “catapulted” Cory Aquino to be the Philippines’ 1st woman head of state, which was a mere “footnote” of the assasination of Ninoy Aquino. I was still in junior high school that August 21, 1983, a teenager, “free-spirited”, “care-free” as others may say, and most of all..one who don’t give a damn about politics. I (and maybe others like me) don’t even really knows who “Ninoy” was until he was “big news” the next day because of his “death”. I am but young man, who enjoys swimming in the lake of Laguna de Bay during weekends, biking up Antipolo with my BMX, and buying “curly tops” to give to my high school “crush”, baduy (not jologs) was the word we used for teasing…then,…by some unseen “snap of a finger”, a number of us became “politically aware”. That week after his death, I remember our teacher in PSRW(Public Speaking Reading and Writing) put up a “classroom” public speaking competition…what speech? Of course, Ninoy’s “prepared” Speech…I memorized the whole speech, understood it with my brain and felt it with my heart. I am not being “OA” but when I started speaking in front of my classmates, my eyes was teary… “I have returned on my free will to join the ranks of those struggling to restore our rights and freedoms through non-violence.”…I was dreaming of going to PMA after high school, much to the dislike of my Nanay because she said I was “too short temper and would not handle life as a cadet”…but because I perceived the military as “evil” at that time of Ninoy’s death, I opted to take a different course. A “fanatic” of Ninoy? Nahh…I just saw in him a man…a real man…who “stared at death without blinking”…a hero? why not? maybe a “hero” of my generation…certainly because his death was “perpetuated” by people of his own race, a “division to the true degree of his heroism” is evident. But, why do we have Jose Rizal, Andres Bonifacio, “Goyong” del Pilar, and other “martyrs” who died in the hands of “other race” like the Spaniards, the Americans, and the Japanese? They all “died” fighting for our country and it’s people. Was Ninoy killed because he became “an enemy of the state (headed by Marcos)” for “plundering the national treasury”? Or doing crimes to the people like what the Garcis, the Bolantes of today have done? The issue of who “ordered” his assasination is “irrelevant” to the issue of his “heroism”. Do you think NPONGCO, that NINOY told the people…”Hoy mga kabayan, pag umuwi ako at tinepok, iparada ninyo ang katawan ko…suot pa rin yung damit ko ha”. What a “lame” you have used…”parade”…I know your “malicious” intent on saying this. I went to Crame on that EDSA People Power, certainly I was not a “hakot”, I was not “coerced”…I went there because at that point of time…I believed that it was the “time for JUSTICE”, justice to people like Ninoy and the countless that died in the hands of that “Martial Law Regime”.
You got some good points again, Spartan. However, if you were not so affected by Ninoy’s bloodied body being paraded, what about the others? You have heard about power of suggestion and mass hypnotism, right? The crowd can influence one’s mind especially if the event is played repeatedly. Immediately after Ninoy’s death, they didn’t change his white clothes that had blood all over. His face had also dried blood and they left it that way. Then, the Edsa One groups led by Cardinal Sin and Cory’s Yellow Brigade supported by the media paraded Ninoy’s body all over Metro Manila. This proved to be successful because it gained the sympathy of the people. People’s hatred was increased. Blood was all over their eyes. Add to this was their 20 years of frustration with the Marcos regime. It was like a blockbuster movie.
Did Marcos stop the parade and the daily rallies? No. Let me ask you: What if it happens today? If you recall, FPJ’s wake and burial attracted millions of people but, Gloria matched this number with equal power and strength from her PNP and Military goons. Fortunately, it was peaceful. If not, do you think Gloria would allow what the Edsa One groups did? Gee, there were daily street protests; noise barage, call not to pay taxes, and other actions that if committed today would be dealt drastically by Arroyo.
Spartan:
Papaalis na kami noon sa Pilipinas when I saw him waving the pictures of Imelda in such un-Maria Clara pose. Iyon bang ulo ni Imelda idinikit sa isang babaing naka-bikini at the time when wearing bikini was not an acceptable norm among good and decent women.
Nakakapanggigil! 😡
Speaking of Singapore’s Lee Kwan Yoo, do you guys know that Marcos was his number one idol?
Marcos was no saint. No one disputes that. No one says he’s perfect. Many even call him dictator, killer, corrupt. Thanks to Gloria…Marcos becomes a saint when compared to her.
Mark my word…History will be kinder to Marcos. Even now, many have changed their opinion about him. Those who are still stubborn and refuse to acknowledge this reality will realize the same someday.
Okay, nelbar. So, it’s not all bad for Marcos. He also has many accomplishments. Was he corrupt? Yes. Did he do something good for the people and country? Yes. What about GMA, is she corrupt? Very yes. Has she done anything good for the country? A big NO.
npongco…YES, as of today, gloria have not done anything good for the country…not yet atleast…but who knows, she might finally make a “supreme sacrifice” and just jump to the “murky” Pasig river( borrowing word from ystakei 😉 )and drown herself… 😀 wishful thinking, huh…hehehe. “Pagputi ng uwak, Pag-itim ng Tagak”…LOL…LOL
I’d disagree with you Ellen. Marcos alone didn’t destroy the fragile Philippines democracy. It’s us Pilipinos as a whole quite don’t understand how the democracy should work to benefit all. Philippines democracy might have started yet the Pilipinos has been trying to destroy it at the very beginning. Democracy really never had the chance. Marcos was idealistic in changing the system of government. He was in the right tract, but as a Pilipino, the greed and dishonesty has suceeded instead. Pilipinos are not ready for democracy. What we need a dic, that stealing, cheating, and lying are not acceptable. There must be consequences for the crimes committed against the people. Our democracy is laughable.
hah!!!…u hit the right note Toney!!!..the greedy and glutton are not able to comprehend the true meaning of democracy…i am Pinoy but i will say that the Pinoy is the most pasaway of all people that i’ve seen. But the Pinoy is also the most of many most…paawa sa sarili (jst look at noontime shows!!!), kahit palpak, nangangatuwiran pa, mali na yun pa ang matapang, sila na ang civil servant sila pa ang mala diyos umasta..i describe this to those kung sino ang guilty. although i dont believe that all Pinoy are like this. it is the smile that we are really known for. the simple-mindedness, kahit wala ng makain, magdadasal nalang, hindi humanap ng paraan para sa kabutihan ng kabuhayan at nakukuha pang ngunmiti… but unlike the bruha by the river, as i mentioned kita na ang kagagahan at kap*t*han nya…pa-cute pa rin!!!
Thanks God, I’not alone in my perception of democracy and Marcos. Thanks Tony. Question that can be asked is were we ready for democracy when the US (?) gave it to us? And we had our first taste of democracy when we gained our independence but were not ready? The US gave us the independence (according to history) but the people had no idea how to run a democracy. After being colonized by the US, Filipinos thought and are still thinking that everything about America and anything made in the US is good. And the hidden reason and result of this was that the Philippines became America’s supplier of raw materials and the US made sure that the Philippines remained such and never to become an industrialized nation. Because once the Philippines succeeds like Japan and other neighboring countries, she would loosen her tight hold from Uncle Sam. The title given to the Philippines as America’s closes ally in Asia would have been gone.
Kaso like most of you puro against lang ang alam pero wala naman suhestyon na mabuti. This type of atittudes only cause distabization. Iyan dahil ang ating talunan groups of opposition never do anything to think what is good for our country but really really busy thinking and planning how to oust the President. We know that so many people outhere dont like the president but dont forget there are so many as well like the president. But of course you dont know kasi hindi naman sila sumusulat sa dyaryo kungdi kayo lang. Its time for us to unite for our cause to progress. Kung kayo oppositions group bago mag election dapat we are one na pagkatapos noon. We unite as one at magtulong tulong para sa kaginhawaan.
