I told RG why don’t you ask people, “What would you want to ask Garci if and when you see him?”
For me, I would not ask him if he indeed talked with Gloria Arroyo because, she already admitted that. I would not also ask him if it is true he wanted Brig. Gen. Francisco Gudani out of Lanao so he could operate for Gloria Arroyo because the Senate testimony of Gudani and Lt. Col. Alexander Balutan confirmed what we heard in the wiretapped conversations. I would not also ask him about the operation to cheat for Arroyo because the testimony of his nephew, Michaelangelo Zuce, clearly showed that.
What I would like to ask Garcillano is, “Who was the young woman who asked you for a cellphone load?” His wife, Grace, should be interested in this because in the June 6 conversation, she and Garci were in the same building, when he was talking with the mystery woman.
Let’s recall that June 6, 2004 conversation of Garcillano with an unidentified woman. From her voice, she sounds like in her mid-20’s. I’m curious because she was addressing him “Sir,” yet she was asking for a cell phone load!
At 9:04 a.m., the cell phone of Garcillano rang. The conversation: Woman: Hello.
Garci: Hello, hindi ako pwede ngayon kasi nandito ako ngayon kasama ko misis ko.
Woman: Bukas sir?
Garci: Tingnan ko lang, pero bibigyan kita.
Woman: Bukas? Di ba pwede si Romy?
Garci: Romy?
Woman: Oo.
Garci: Eh, nasa Baguio.
Woman: Baguio? Sir, hingi ako ng load puwede?
Garci: Mamaya na kasi andito ang misis ko.
Woman: Ok, sige sige. Salamat ha.
Almost an hour- and- a half later, Garcillano was talking with Grace. Here’s how their conversation, in Visayan, went as translated to Tagalog:
Grace: Asan na kayo, di? Andito na kami sa Robinson’s.
Garci: Andito kami sa Handyman. Si Eddie, nagkita na kayo?
Grace: Oo, sumakay na kami.
Garci: Handyman.
Grace: Handyman? Ano, aakyat pa ba kami diyan o hindi na? Hintayin na lang ninyo kami sa Handyman.
Two days after, the mystery woman and Garcillano again talked and it looked like they met. This time, it was Garcillano who called at 10:54 a.m and he wanted to see the woman right way (“ngayon na”). But the woman would only be available after 2 p.m.
Woman: Hello?
Garci: Hello, o….
Woman: Sir.
Garci: Pwede ka ngayon?
Woman: Anong oras?
Garci : Ikaw, ngayon?
Woman: Ngayong tanghali?
Garci: Hindi. Ngayon na.
Woman: Hindi, sir, kasi may practice po ako.
Garci: Sa?
Woman: Sa PDSP. Ngayon lang. Sandali lang naman ito.
Garci: Anong oras?
Woman: Mga alas dos, pwede na?
Garcillano and the mystery woman agreed to meet at Starbucks in Bayview Hotel on Roxas boulevard at two p.m. At 1:55 p.m., Mrs. Garcillano called up. He told the husband not to drink alcohol, unlike what happened the previous day.
Grace: Huwag kang uminom.
Garci: Ay hindi naman.
Grace: Tanghali kasi. Katulad kahapon uminom kayo ng tanghali, hindi maganda.
At 2:31 p.m, an impatient Garcillano checked on the woman.
Garci: Asan ka ba talaga ngayon?
Woman: Paalis na ako ngayon.
Garcillano: Kelan ka pa aalis?
Woman: Pasakay na ako ng taxi. Andito na ako sa Quiapo.
Garcillano: Kanina ka pang Quiapo.

At 2:56 p.m., an irate Garcillano called the woman again who said she was now on Roxas boulevard. The woman was apologetic.
Garci: Sus. Alam mo namang hindi pwdeng maatraso sa oras.
Woman: Oo nga, sir. Sorry, sir, kasi galing pa ako sa practice. Nagmamadali nga ako. O sige, sir, ha.
Garci: Sige. Dalian mo.
Woman: Sige dito na ako. Sige bye.
Nine minutes later, the woman called up. Garcillano was doubting her location report.
Woman: Grabe galing pa ako ng Pasig.
Garci: Akala ko kanina sabi nasa Quiapo ka na?
Woman: Hindi nga, papunta na ako diyan, naglalakad ako galing sa papuntang ano na…
Garcillano: Naglakad ka lang?
Woman: Oo! Ang sakit pa naman ng ulo.
That was the last recorded cellphone conversation. Most probably, they finally met. What happened after is left to our imagination.
I’d like to ask Garcillano about this part of the wiretapped conversations. If we can’t get the truth from him, maybe we can get entertainment.

If he is ever allowed to answer questions, it will only be at the Congress, where that process can easily be moderated. I don’t think he will ever be allowed to hold a public press conference because that could actually be the nucleation point for a people power event. As long as the leftists are not allowed to try and organize that people power event, it might actually happen.
On the Subic Rape Case, why in the world did we field women lawyers. Why didn’t we send big burly young attorneys backed up by a fatherly figure and an even more senior old lawyer. It is international political theatre and we have the home field advantage. We should be projecting the message that the whole country cares about this case, that we protect and cherish our women, not just protest their conditions. It’s all about optics, yet we always have to play the victim, because that is the ideology that has taken hold: victimology. I think it is because the Left actually wants for the Filipino people to lose whenever they get into some issue involving America. To prove their persecution complex.
The whole “prosecution” team should be replaced with men that are smoldering with rage, but are holding it back at every step. Not screaming, metaphorically speaking, that we are being GANG RAPED by the whole process, or our own govt.
There is honest puzzlement about our behavior, even among Americans who support our case and wish those men, if found guilty, will find harsh boyfriends in Bilibid. For they have done more than allegedly rape an ally, they have endangered a serious mission of the US military. That believe it or not is my greatest hope for justice in this case.
Not the helpless howling that doesn’t realize we are actually in a position of moral strength if only we would play our cards right.
