The problem when one concocts a story and put details to impress is that, when he repeats it, there’s the chance that he will mix up or forget some of the details he related. That is what is happening to Peter Joemel Advincula alias Bikoy.
There are four affidavits of Advincula that have been made public including the December 2016 document that he allegedly gave to Senate President Tito Sotto implicating detained Sen. Leila de Lima in the drug syndicate.
The three affidavits – May 6, 2016 executed at the Integrated Bar of the Philippines, the May 29, 2019 done at the Philippine National Police – Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, and the July 17 which he submitted to the Department of Justice – are related to what he alleged as the plot to oust Duterte by the opposition. These affidavits are the basis for the sedition case filed by the PNP-CIDG against 38 persons led by Vice President Leni Robredo, former Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV, Sen. Risa Hontiveros, , seven members of the Religious Community, seven of the eight (Mar Roxas is not included) senatorial candidates of the opposition in the last May elections.
Advincula, who will be the PNP’s star witness, is included among those charged. So is dismissed police officer Senior Superintendent Eduardo Acierto, who was allegedly involved in the 2018 drug smuggling through magnetic filters in 2018.
ABS-CBN has spotted some inconsistencies in Ad vincula’s affidavits. One is the number of meetings he had with Trillanes. In the CIDG affidavit, he mentioned seven times -August 29, 2018; February 9, 2019; February 22, 2019; March 6, 2019 morning; March 6, 2019 evening; May 5, 2019 and May 9, 2019.
In the DOJ affidavit, he mentioned only four meetings: August 29, 2018; October 11, 2018; February 9, 2019 and February 22, 2019.
Trillanes said he was in the United States on Feb. 9, 2019.
The common narrative in both the CIDG and the DOJ affidavits is the “Strategic Plan” against Duterte and then senatorial candidate Bong Go which consisted of three activities: First is a press conference by three priests- Fr. Bert Alejo, Fr. Flavie Villanueva, and Fr. Robert Reyes- about the threats they have been receiving which took place on March 11, 2019; second is the press conference of Acierto on March 25, 2019 linking Go with presidential economic adviser Michael Yang, who, Acierto said, is linked to a drug syndicate; and third, the release of the “Ang Totoong Narcolist” video series.
Acierto’s March 25 press conference with selected media, however, did not support Advincula’s narration because there was no mention of Go. He just said that he had reported the illegal drugs-related activities of Yang to Duterte, who defended the Davao-based Chinese businessman and instead released a dossier linking Acierto to the illegal drug trade.
This is the person whose stories the PNP is clutching on to destroy those who criticize Duterte.
para sa akin po, itong si alyas bikoy o peter advincula is much like pnp. both are liars and fudgy with statistics, lol! birds of a feather, none better than the other and helping each other.
with many killings going on, farmers being killed, terrorists on bombing spree, unsolved crimes piling up, and all pnp can do is yap sedition at the opposition.
the charge of sedition will not solve problems. people will still be jobless, chinese ‘invasion’ is still ongoing, pcso is still kurap, drugs is still unsurpassed and massive flooding is still wrecking lives and businesses, causing costly repairs and big blow to national budget.
sedition will not stop the rise of dengue, doh is till unable to stop dengue from spreading. and there is now high possibility that mosquito carrying dengue have developed resistance to fogging.
pnp should stop fooling, sedition will not quieten the conscience of the nation. there will still be demand for justice, for wrongdoings to be corrected, and for the man at the top to be accountable.
sedition solves nothing, and the only purpose sedition will serve is to make duterte momentarily happy. he’ll still be beset by problems both local and national. and then, he will have a newer and maybe better opposition to face, rising from the opposition that have gone before. get rid of one and many will come to replace.
but if pnp must have someone charged with sedition, that would only be peter advincula.
Agree, ROC.
