As we celebrate the coming of Jesus Christ in the midst of trials and challenges, let’s take the examples shown by these children of supporting each other when they only have themselves to turn to:

Ellen, hindi kaya nababasa ng mga kurakot ang mga ganitong retrato at mga pangitain sa kanilang sariling bayan?? Wala na silang pakiramdan at paki-alam basta masaya silang waldasin ang pera ng bayan na dapat sana ay gugulin sa kapakanan ng mga batang ito na naghihirap mairaos ang buong maghapon ng gutom, uhaw, walang masilungan, walang maliguan at walang nagmamahal.
Tunay na napaka saklap ang nangyayari sa bayan natin. Hindi kaya mangyayari ang tunay na kabaliktaran at itong mga kurakot sa bayan (Janet Lim-Naoles, ank niyang, Jeane Napoles, JPE, Ramon Revilla,Jinggoy Estrada, Gen. Carlos Garcia, Gen. Ligot, Angelo Reyes, Gloria Arroyo, Mike Arroyo, Butch Abad, R.G. Valencia, Reynaldo Umali, Benigno Aquino III at iba pang mga kurakot sa Kongreso) ay sila naman ang makikita natin na nanglilimahid sa mga kalsada na walang makain, nauuuhaw, marumi at gulagulanit ang mga suot, walang pumapansin, walang malakaran, walang mapagliguan, puro ipis, langam, gumagapang na sintipid, daga at mga bulati sa paligid, walang matulugan at wala na ring mga nagmamahal sa kanila? At ang mga batang nakita natin ngayon ay sila naman ang nagsasaya, maslinis at may magagarang pananamit at nagtatamasa ng maraming pag-kain na kilalang kilala natin sila, na sila nga ang mga nakita natin sa mga retratong ito!! Sana po sa Paskong ito ay maganap sa mga batang ito ang tunay na magandang buhay, dahil naranasan na nila ang buhay na kawalan ng mahabang panahon. Ito po ang aking dalangin sa Paskong ito sa ating mahal na Diyos, Hesu Kristong mapagmahal, mahabagin na sa Kanya ang lahat ay posibling mangyari at walang imposible. Amen!!! Amen!!! Amen!!!
Very touching photos. The children are the ones who know what love is. No pretense. Why not post the photos of rich kids if they do the same? The photos sure will show them playing with their expensive toys in expensive clothes.

Ellen, A sibling is always precious to us all at any age. i drove more than 4000 kms. to spend the Season’s with my youngest sister in the Bay Area and we were enjoying the “togetherness” like when we toddlers growing very poor in the Farms in Iloilo. then there were news of widespread outages in Southern Ontario and more than half of the Toronto Residents have without power since December 21 and back at New York today and have to drive back to Toronto because the whole Province is out of Salt (for ice and snow melting) and have to load the car with salt for relatives and my own house which until now has no power…(waiting for available Electrician for safety check before power is switch on) And have to forego Celebrating New year with grandkids and my other baby sister (they are twins)in in New York…that is how love among siblings is…forever.

Huwag naman kayo ganun, kung alam niyo lang pagkatapos ng bagyo kahit mayaman ka walang halaga ang pera dahil wala kang mabilhan lalo na sa tacloban city at kalapit na lugar. Pagkain, gasolina at anu pa. Ang mga nararapat na mabigyan para makapagawa ng bahay kahit kaunting halaga ay bigyan ng pera. Ang para kay Juan ay kay Juan, ang kay Pedro ay kay Pedro. Huwag ang para kay Juan ay kay Pedro pa rin. Matuto na mapagbigay..

Arvin, I agree with the good things you always say about Marcos. But there were other factors that contributed to the better life during those days like lower inflation, better pesos current exchange rate, stronger purchasing power. The current economic situation in the Philippines is also being felt by most countries including the industrialized more developed countries.
Manie @ 9 California will take at least 5 days travel time and 50 hours driving time..yes during the first 15 hours it was mostly driving in winter condition but there were very little snow on the way
Backin Toronto now and still without power.. The tree in my backyard broke all its heavy branches due to IceBuildup and ripped the power line to my house. Ther were more than 300 hundred thousands customers without power at the height of the IceStorm and 6000 remaining. Got my receptacles and Pipes replaced including the Circuit breaker panel, the tree cut andcoar me a lot of though… My insurance will cover a lot of ot including repairs to the roof and gutters after the winter maybe. The utilities personnel checked the house for SAFETY and may switch the power tomorrow. it is cold (water is not affected as it is heated by natural gas, but the Furnace blower need electricity to operate). Well this is the first time and I am not planting any more Tree next to the powe Line..have to cut short my holiday in sunny Florida and also in New York and PA.. Still can drive with minimum rest at my very senior age..

Yes home insurance covers Flood and slips and injuries within the property..including guest who drive drunk drinking at the insured home..the reason why the Host will prefer a stay in drinking party ..or make sure that guests have non drinker designated drivers..
Vic, pls correct me if I’m wrong. I heard insurance companies in Canada refuse to cover floods. It must be decided by the government or something. That’s the reason why those flood victims in Calgary lost their homes.

Mannie, only overland flooding is not covered but all other like sewage backup, basement leakage are. And since overland flooding is a very isolated incidence The insurance does not want to penalize those that are not succiptible to flooding due to lake and rivers overflowing. There will be some sort of govt compensation for such damages.
For power outages, the cost of restoration will eventually be borne by Consumers unless Federal and Provincial govt will pay off the cost.. That still to be negotiated. My insurance adjuster already assess the damaged on my house and the cost of repairs…replacement of circuit breakers I will have to pay myself since it was already condemned by the utility inspectors as unsafe and very Old

My sis and her husband knew them too well.. They now are practicing in New York and pretty soon will be joining the ranks of the retiree..She is Pedia and her hubby is Nuclear medicine specialist. Was planning to spend at least a month with them if not for this emergency. Toronto hydro said that they will be done restoring all power by Today.. Here at the mall charging all the gadgets. All my Neighbours had not been affected with prolonged outages. My niece living a block away has only two hours. She has no tree close to the WIRES
Hey Vic, we might know each other after all; at least our relatives and friends. It’s a small world indeed. My classmate and friend Dr. Te’s parents were both doctors and both already passed away. My friend is the only child and a very devout Christian his daughter even married to a Pastor in QC.

Tongue is so resourceful. I always enjoy reading his posts. He’s got lots of knowledge. The second photo was obviously from Vietnam due to the child’s clothes that looked like Vietnamese. It was my similar observation, but I did not bother to point it out since it’s immaterial to the message of the topic. It’s all about the true meaning of love during Christmas and the kids are the ones showing and teaching us.
Ellen, my friend, Steven A., developed an app for Google and Windows to do an image search in reverse. You just right click on a photo anywhere from the web and his search engine searches billions of images and points you to the original source. Last I heard Google was buying it from him for $100K but he was only selling it if its for $1M or higher. I don’t know if the deal pushed through but I already have a copy of the app in my phone and laptop.
