Nakatanggap ako kahapon ng text galing kay dating Army Capt. Dante Langkit, isa sa napawalang sala noong Lunes sa court martial na naglilitis ng mutiny pag-aklas daw laban kay Gloria Arroyo noong Pebrero 2006 pagkatapos mabulgar na nandaya siya noong 2004 na eleksyun gamit ang military.
Sobra apat na taon ding nakakulong si Langkit. Nakalabas siya kasama ang kapwa niyang akusado nang naalis na sa Malacañang si Gloria Arroyo. Pinayagan siyang lumabas din noong kampanya dahil tumakbo siya bilang gubernador ng Kalinga. Natalo siya.
Ito ang kanyang text para sa amin ni Charmaine Deogracias ng NHK TV: “ Thank you for your support. All through the times of our ordeal you were there. In fact it was in those times that we came to know one another. You were one of the very few whose presence we felt.
“Those moments were bleak as though the right things which we believed in as basically right and noble for our country were not right after all. Our older brothers became our executioners and PMA was silent when we were unjustly incarcerated.
“Buti na lang we stood firm dahìl paikot- ikot lang ang mundo na kung minsan parang hindi mo kakampi. Sa mga umabuso during those times, good luck sa kanila.
“Salamat Ma’am Ellen and Charm.”
Sa lahat na akusado sa kasong 2006 mutiny, si Langkit talaga ang pinahirapan. Sampung buwan siya sa bartolina, solitary confinement. Hiniwalay siya ng kulungan sa iba. Sinuspetsahan kasi siyang konek sa Magdalo at sa mga mas nakakataas na opisyal na sangkot sa 2006 mutiny kuno.
Kuwento ni Langkit, may Pasko noon na sa pamamagitan ng pagkatok sa dinding na nagpapalakas sila ng loob ng kapwa niyang detainee na naka bartolina rin.
Nang mahuli siya, sinaktan siya ng kanyang kapwa PMAer. Pinadapa siya sa loob ng van at tinapakan. Pinaupo siya sa bangko,yung walang sandalan ng 48 na oras. Kapag may hearing sa Tanay, dinadala siya mula Fort Bonifacio kung saan siya nakakulong,hindi siya pinapakain. Ang laki ng ipinayat niya nang nakabartolina siya.
May kambal si Dante na ang pangalan ay si Danzel. Kapag mag-attend si Danzel ng hearing, kinukuhaan namin sila dalawa ng litrato para makita ang diperensya ng kanilang katawan.
Dati nasa staff ni Gen. Hermogenes Esperon si Langkit. Kaya galit na galit si Esperon nang malaman na sumali siya tangkang pagprotesta sa pandaraya ni Arroyo. Sabi daw ni Esperon sa kanya, “Anong pinakain sa iyo ni (Brig. Gen) Danny Lim at mas kumampi ka sa kanya kaysa akin?”
Ginamit pa ni Esperon ang kanyang girlfriend noon para papirmahin siya ng isang affidavit na dumidiin kay Lim. Hindi pumayag si Langkit. Kaya wala na rin siyang girlfriend ngayon.
Nalagpasan ni Langkit ang pahirap sa kanya ng kapwa niyang kasamahan sa military at nagsisimula na siya ng buhay na sibilyan. May mga consultancy siya kasama na ang mga ahensya ng pamahalaan.
Kaya naipokrituhan si Langkit sa mga banat kay Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV ng mga upperclass nila sa PMA sa walang galang daw sa pagtatanong ng senador kay Reyes na kasama sa nagpakulong sa mga Magdalo.
Bakit, sila ba marunong gumalang sa karapatan ng kapwa PMAer na hindi kasama sa kurakutan?
Marine Col Ariel Querubin filed for amnesty at ten this morning. Here’s his narration of facts:
After my schooling in Australia in 2003, I was designated Superintendent of the Philippine Marine Corps Training Center.
It was during this time, when US Servicemen and young officers, who either witnessed cheating or they themselves were used to manipulate the results of the 2004 elections, in favor of Gloria Macapagal Arroyo; relayed to me various information of rampant election fraud. I became the repository of all their gripes and grievances.
Without delay, I informed my chain of command about all the complaints. But to my astonishment and disbelief, I was told not to rock the boat and not to be naive. They told me, everybody cheated in the election and GMA was the lesser evil.
I reminded my superiors, that the AFP should be neutral and non partisan for it to be credible in maintaining order; and the true will of the Filipino people, should always be respected and upheld. Nevertheless, nobody did anything, even after we brought the matter to the Chairman of the Senate Defense Committee who was a former soldier. The US servicemen were sent back to the States.
I was so disillusioned. When the ‘Garci Tape’ surfaced and the public opinion was growing against GMA, the AFP leadership finally formed the Mayuga committee to investigate. I then informed Admiral Mayuga that there were officers and enlisted personnel who have personal knowledge of the cheating in 2004, who were willing to testify but they were never called to give their statements. Some were already killed in action in Mindanao.
Then I was designated Brigade Commander in Marawi City in Lanao del Sur. Sometime in the 1st week of February 2006, my unit confiscated 34 assorted high powered firearms, all of which were loose with either tampered or defaced serial numbers and thousands of rounds of ammunitions; intended for the Ampatuans. Senior military officers and influential politicians interceded for the release of said firearms but I stood my ground. Cases were filed against a PNP provincial director and a Mayor who escorted the six vehicle convoy carrying said firearms but all the cases were dropped after I was relieved.
These were some of the matters I brought up with the then AFP Chief of Staff, Gen Generoso Senga when I went to see him on February 23, 2006. I clarified with Gen Senga if he instructed MGen Demaala to intercede for the release of the confiscated firearms intended for the Ampatuans. Gen Senga said he did not order MGen Demaala to intercede for the release of said firearms. According to Gen Senga, he told MGen Demaala: “Tignan mo kung paano natin tulungan si Gov.” He further told me that Malacañang called him up to help Gov. Ampatuan.
I also informed him that some officers of the elite units of the AFP and PNP planned to march together with the people, as a manifestation of their grievances and to question the legitimacy of GMA because I wanted a peaceful and non violent demonstration of our complaints. I also told him that if no senior officer will lead them then I will be forced to go with them to maintain order.
However, Gen Senga confided to us his stand; even if he was sympathetic, he said he was sorry he can not lead us. But then he ordered us to talk to the junior officers to abort our plans, which we obeyed. That was the reason why there was no soldier in the protest march to commemorate Edsa Anniversary last February 24, 2006.
The Marine Standoff took place only after the AFP leadership removed our commandant on February 26, 2006 which was a Sunday without any proper turnover.
The commandant just presided over a meeting to listen to all our sentiments with the presence of the Flag Officer in Command, Admiral Mateo Mayuga. The commandant even dissuaded the officers from joining the peaceful rally.
Thereafter, I was relieved from my post as Brigade Commander, and was subsequently detained for four and a half years with a pending case for mutiny up to now.
In the pre-trial investigation report, three military lawyers said that there was no probable cause to charge us with mutiny.
However, former AFP Chief of Staff, Gen. Hermogenes Esperon Jr. who took over after Gen. Senga, overturned the results of the investigation; and jailed without any legal basis or explanation, 9 Marine Officers, 19 Army Officers and 40 Army enlisted personne

Col Querubin’s affidavit clearly showed the Arroyo/Ampatuan connection and the Mayuga/2004 whitewashed report. Sige sunod sunurin na natin ang bwelta sa bansot na yan!
Wala talaga akong respeto sa mga generals ni basot. Puro sila naging “aso” niya, just glorified bodyguards!
If the 2004 election cheating will be re-opened, imagine how many witnesses there will be. Kulang ang space sa congress sa dami nila! Some of the key witnessess were sent out to fight and were were even killed already. Kaya nga kahit nakulong ang mga ito, they were spared from dying . If they were still in service during bansot’s time, patay na sana silang lahat.
The AFP corruption is just a part of a bigger picture. The Ampatuan case is much bigger because of the lost lives, 58 in all. The election cheating which gave the bansot 6 more years of stolen reign should also be re-opened.

Kung wala kayo para paalalahan ang mga tao na may mga Magdalo at Tanay Boys na nakakulong dahil lang sa isang bansot, nakalimutan na sana ng kapinoyan ang mga ito. Thanks for being there for them. Balang araw, maipamamalas din nila sa inyo na malaking bahagi kayo sa buhay nila sa piitan.
Re: #2 – Senga conveniently reasoned out that he was just following the chain of command. E ‘yun ang problema ng mga oras na ‘yon… the legitimacy of GMA’s election was and still is in question. Kaya sino ang commander-in-chief na sinusunod niya (Senga)?
