One solitary life

He who loved the world
He who loved the world
Here is a man who was born in an obscure village, the child of a peasant woman. He grew up in another village. He worked in a carpenter shop until He was thirty. Then for three years He was an itinerant preacher.

He never owned a home. He never wrote a book. He never held an office. He never had a family. He never went to college. He never put His foot inside a big city. He never traveled two hundred miles from the place He was born. He never did one of the things that usually accompany greatness. He had no credentials but Himself.

While still a young man, the tide of popular opinion turned against him. His friends ran away. One of them denied Him. He was turned over to His enemies. He went through the mockery of a trial. He was nailed upon a cross between two thieves. While He was dying His executioners gambled for the only piece of property He had on earth – His coat. When He was dead, He was laid in a borrowed grave through the pity of a friend.

Nineteen long centuries have come and gone, and today He is a centerpiece of the human race and leader of the column of progress.

I am not far within the mark when I say that all the armies that ever marched, all the navies that were ever built; all the parliaments that ever sat and all the kings that ever reigned, put together, have not affected the life of man upon this earth as powerfully as has that ONE SOLITARY LIFE.

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE! GOD BLESS US ALL!
Many proclaim that they are followers of Christ,(especially the politicians) but are they/(we) really?

Let us remember the ESSENCE of JESUS’ dying on the Cross:

    John 3:16-21
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God.”

May spirit of the Lenten Season touch the hearts and souls of politicians who exploit any opportunity and celebration to announce their “benevolent mission” to serve the needy and effect changes very much needed in the bureaucracy once elected to office.

Let us hope they leave the comfort of their wealth and embrace the true teachings of Christ – to live the lives of the less privileged.

kasi malamig pa rin hanggang ngayon dito..the crazy month of March..ang sabi nga..I stayed home yesterday and nanuod ng EWTN ..ang sabi ng pari..”Unity subsist on truth”…I looked up the meaning of subsist..and Webster defnition..”to continue to be or exist”; to continue to live’ remain alive”..nasabi ko sa sarili ko..kaya pala sa Pilipinas walang unity kasi ang mga halimbawa na nakikita natin sa ating leaders unang una si putot na ating pangulo ay siyang nang gugulo..sa kanyang pagsisinungaling…at ngayon lumabas ang mga kasinungalingan ni Money Villar who is a good friend of El Shaddai leader and ni Will power..(may kasabihan tayo…tell me who your friends are and I will tell you who you are) sa takbo ng politica sa atin malamang manalo siya at siya ang maging pangulo? or pang gulo? ang sabi nga “the truth will set you free”..si Money Bill ba ay magsasabi ng totoo? ang tanong nga sa itaas..”many proclaim that they are followers of Christ (especially the politicians) but are they/we reall?” nagsasabi pa tayo ng totoo sa sarili natin? do we really follow the teachings of Jesus Christ? tayo lang pakakasagot para sa sarili natin..and this is the time to ask ourselves..hindi ba?

To have faith in Jesus and obey His teachings is God’s commandment. To worship Him is also God’s command. But to worship His graven image is against God’s teaching. Idol worshiping is wrong. Now, apologists would counter saying they’re not worshiping the images and statues but only to remind them of God. Oh yea…what about kneeling down, touching and kissing the images?

And funny there’s now an online worship to God. You can download and read His words sent by preachers without going to church. Obama is one follower these days due to his hectic schedule. To worship God requires sarcrifices. Today, religion of convenience has become very attractive to self-proclaimed Christians.
