Arroyo is the first nominee of the Ang Galing Pinoy party list group which represents security guards. Pineda, outgoing mayor of Lubao, Pampanga, is the party’s second nominee.
Romeo Dungca Jr., Jerold Dominick David, and Ryan Caladiao were the other nominees.
Velarde is the fifth nominee of Buhay party list which was represented by his son Rene in the last Congress.
The other nominees are William Irwin Tieng, Ignacio Gimenez, and Wilfrido Villarama.

Commissioner Rene Sarmiento said the poll body is set to issue a resolution by next week that would include guidelines on the qualifications of party list nominees.
He said the resolution is expected to include the grounds in disqualifying the nominees.
“Throughout the years kasi may mga umuupo na hindi dapat,” he said.
He said some of the key points include questions such as if the nominee is among the marginalized sector he/she seeks to represent, is he/she a government official, and if he/she is a member of the group 90 days prior to the March 26 deadline of filing of names of nominees
