She entertains us.
Last Wednesday, she provided distraction from the revolting picture of Senate President Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III, House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez, Senate majority Leader Vicente “Tito” Sotto III and House Majority Leader Rodolfo Fariñas doing the fist pump over dinner in a restaurant in the midst of reports that Alvarez wants to convene a Constitutional Assembly to change the Constitution even it consists only of congressmen and a few senators.
Imagine transferring Mayon Volcano which is currently in tantrums from Albay to Naga City in Camarines Sur some 100 kilometers away.
In an eight minute video posted on her Facebook wall Wednesday, Uson, a recipient of the University of Sto. Tomas Alumni award for government service (she has returned the award), said “Ginagamit po ng ilang mga tao itong maliit na issue sa award para pagtakpan yung issue ng Dengvaxia, issue ng pagtanggap diumano ni Senator Drilon ng pera galing kay Napoles, at yung pinakamahalaga pa yung nangyayari sa Naga, ‘yang pag-aalburuto ng Mayon volcano. (Some people are using this small issue on the award to cover up the issue of Dengvaxia, Senator Drilon’s receipt of money from Napoles, and the most important is what is happening in Naga where Mayon Vocano is in tantrums.)”
Mocha’s act brought out the wit in many of us.
Journalist Melo Acuña posted Wednesday: “When I left Legazpi City last Sunday morning, I was sure Mayon Volcano was still in Albay. Who transferred Mayon Volcano to Naga?”
Many commended Uson for accomplishing the impossible and suggested that she be given another award. The plaque should be made of hot lava from Mt Mayon.
Sammy Malunes said, “Hindi sayang ang buwis na pinasasahod natin sa katulad niyang public official..Mabuhay Ka mucha cha! (Our tax is not wasted for public officials like her. Long live, Mocha.)”
Many asked how the transfer was done. One posted a bayanihan picture. Instead of a house, the men were carrying Mt. Mayon on their shoulders.
Proof of the transfer? There was a picture of Mt. Mayon behind SM Naga.
If Uson can transfer Mt. Mayon from Albay to Naga, what should prevent others from transferring it to faraway places. Mt. Mayon went all over the world. There was Mt. Mayon behind the Eiffel Tower, Mt. Mayon behind the Statue of Liberty, Mt Mayon at the Red Square in Moscow.
It’s so funny.
Inquirer’s Dax Lucas must have been so inspired, he dipped into his theology and took a quote from the Bible: “If you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you.”
Amen.
and she is receiving huge salary monthly… tsk..tsk..tsk…!! no wonder Mt Mayon is erupting..!!!
