Last Monday, Direk Joey Reyes posted this in his Facebook wall: “Dear Janet, Now you can be at ease. There is another woman more hated than you in the Philippines.Take care.”
Janet, of course, is Janet Napoles, the pork barrel queen through whom senators and congressmen robbed billions of the people’s money.
Thinking it was Social Services Secretary Dinky Soliman, who rounded up almost 500 destitute families in Pasay and Manila and brought them away from the sight of Pope Francis and the foreign press during the Papal visit two weeks ago, I commented, “Korek, Direk.”
Reading the other comments, I realized the subject of the post was Stella Marquez-Araneta, head of Binibining Pilipinas Charities, organizers of beauty pagents in the country to select candidates for the Miss Universe, Miss International and other beauty pageants.
Marquez-Araneta was being bashed for preferring a Colombian over Filipino fashion designers to do the gown for Philippine candidates to the international beauty pageants.
The discussion was spirited and amusing.
The media headlines last Monday was the massacre of members of elite SAF in Mamasapano, Maguindanao by the Moro Islamic Liberation Front which happened the day before, early morning of Sunday. They were in a mission to capture Malaysian bomb maker Zulkifli bin Hir alias ”Marwan” and Basit Usman, a Jemaah Islamiyah bomb-making expert, in Tukanalipao village.
Marwan and Basit Usman are among the most wanted terrorists by the US’ Federal Bureau of Investigation. Marwan has a $5 million price on his head and $1 million for Basit Usman.
It’s the worst tragedy in the history of the country’s police force.
But people would rather discuss about MJ Lastimosa’s cake gown.

This is the third day since that condemnable incident. There has been no word from the President of the Philippines.

On the other hand, the case of the incident is different, first, why is the MILF condoning the actions of BIFF, second, why do allow the BIFF to have a base near their camps, third, MILF knows that BIFF has been branded as terror group, but they still do nothing, fourth, they know that Marwan, a wanted terrorist is staying/camping with the BIFF, still they did not arrest him and turned-over to the proper authorities, fifth, they said some or most BIFF are b;lood related to MILF, so what coordination do they need, if the operation is coordinated with the MILF, they will alert the BIFF…SO WHAT DOES IT MEANS??? you’re guess is as good as mine.
Now, every time the government conducts military operation and most of their armed groups loss lives they will complain and with the panel and OIC and file protest and go to the street.
Why can’t we do the same, why can’t we go to the street nationwide, why can’t we unite and show the MILF our frustrations and disgust over their double edge approach in this negotiation and agreements.

Is it true that the Prexy instructed the suspended Purisima to direct the operation…
If that is the case, the Filipino people is being tricked by the Prexy that the suspended Purisima is “SUSPENDED”
What does it means:
It means that the Prexy has more trust and confidence to the suspended one rather than the incumbent and more importantly has NO TRUST IN THE DILG SECRETARY.
The fault lies in the leadership, why give instructions to the suspended PNP chief rather than the incumbent and then inform the secretary of DILG.
If the Prexy does or truly gave instruction, then he has a lot of explaining to do with the family of the dead police officers and the Filipino people as a whole.
I only surmised that in an armed confrontation or war, the only way to gain victory and peace is to sacrifice lives. But in this case, in order for the Prexy to have the peace agreement signed is to sacrifice human lives to achieve peace in Mindanao.
If the Prexy can do this to his men in uniform, how much more can he sacrifice, for that matter how many human lives should be sacrificed to achieve his administration’s goal of lasting peace in Mindanao.
To those grieving families, how can he explain that.
Since the Prexy has already said that he knew of the operations, will the KKK in both houses of Congress do something about this, will they call the Prexy to explain why he gave order to the suspended police chief???

To the MILF, if they truly believe in peace, surrender those terrorists holding camp in their camps and lay down their arms and uphold the sanctity of the CONSTITUTION.

Apparently, “Madz” or Marwan has been neutralized and the encounter happened on their way out of the village after the “successful” operation but they encountered the MILF and shooting ensued. The CCCH negotiators went in between the clashing forces unarmed prompting the MILF to pull back. It was BIFF’s turn to engage the support forces waiting for the first group to come out and carried out their planned ambush using superior firepower using even 50 caliber machineguns against the trucks and men of the second group that will pickup the arresting forces. This group suffered the most casualties.
That is how I understand the timeline of events. From the different interviews and news accounts.
The weird part of the story is the participation of Noynoy and Purisima behind all these. Gives me the creeps.
