Fitness First Southmall was part of my three to four times a week routine the past 14 months. I became fit and healthy . From a size that bordered to extra-large, I’m down to medium. Thank you very much, Christian S. Cerezo, my very competent and kind personal trainer.
As a bonus, I gained friends.
That’s why, borrowing a quote from Shakespeare, “Parting is such sweet sorrow.”
Fitness First Southmall closed last Oct. 31. But it’s not really goodbye because many of us, members, are transferring to Fitness First Alabang. Some are going to Fitness First MOA.
Some of the instructors and trainers are taking the more challenging route of striking on their own. I wish each and every one “Good Luck!”
Keep moving forward. Keep in touch.

You look slimmer, glowing, younger, and healthier, Ellen! 🙂
Myself is doing yoga, meditation and treadmill plus weeding out wild grass. 🙂
Basta may exercise, healthy tayo di ba?
Ellen, why did FF Southmall close? Aren’t they making money? Isn’t FF Alabang Platinum and more expensive?
Ang gaganda ng smiles nyo!
Ayos iyan. Ang ganda po ng dalawang babae na kasama mo. May facebook po ba sila?
Becky, dinaan na lang namin sa smiles yung sadness.Di bale, magkikita naman. I will work out at MOA from time to time where the two girls Angie and Jensen will now be assigned.
Angie will continue to conduct zumba classes in Alabang, Tuesdays (12 noon) and Sundays (2 pm).
Becky, re #3, I understand FF Southmall was not doing well financially the last two years. To compound their problem, Southmall raised rental rates.
Sayang nga because it was very convenient for us who are residents of surrounding subdivisions.
It could be a blessing in disguise because we get to discover other health centers, less expensive gyms in the area. My niece is not renewing her Fitness First membership. She will continue working out with her personal trainer, Christian, at the Las Piñas Doctors Hospital gym. I saw the gym at LPDH. It’s nice and clean. Smaller than Fitness First but pleasant. The equipment look good.
I might also do my session with personal trainer there.
Good job mam Ellen. kaya pala everytime kitang makikita sa TV news you are still in good shape. Me kahit anong busy, I do my daily exercise. Kahit man lang 15 minutes sa treadmill at konting push up. Suwerte ko na naka tiempo ng sale of NordiTrack Model C2250 kaya no need to go to gym and I am using it for more than five years.
Mag exercise tayo tuwing umaga, tuwing umaga

Just do my walking exercise daily inside mall nearby which opens early at 7 am and give us exercisers a window of 3 hours before the Stores open for business. Food court opens to also serve those who wanted to have the tummy exercise instead. Walking, still the best exercise for overall health and especially for healthy heart especially for Seniors.
By the way, just came back from PA and witness the landfall of Superstorm Sandy as it hit the coastal PA area Monday night..power was out and me and the grandnieces spent the night camping in the basement where it is safe in case of fallen trees…power just restored today..it was a Storm to remember.
x-man, meron din na bata hindi ko pa mahanap yung link.
Lakad, yes vic… still the best. I walk the woods and a little run trail on weekends of Spring to Fall. Wintertime, I use the treadmill.
#9, you have self discipline, Jojo. Kami ng pamangkin ko, we need a PT to push us. That’s why we feel lucky that we were able to find one who is not only magaling but also considerate.
Mabuti pa kayo, nagkakapag-gym.
Like Vic, I try to incorporate exercise in my daily activities. I try to walk going to church and other short destinations instead of taking a ride.
I try to take the stairs instead of elevator if it’s only one storey up.
Yes, health is wealth.
@ 16. We are fortunate that malls offer the convenience and climate controlled of their facilities all year round for the Public especially during winter where walking outdoors is just next to impossible for seniors.. There are also gyms at Public community centres which are fully equipped with token user’s fee for low income. I still prefer the convenience and “fellowship ” of the mall and the sometimes promotional week long Free coffee from Mcdo which is always Bottomless. Just keep refilling
