Far from his hot-tempered demeanor when he slapped and threw expletives at a traffic enforcer two weeks ago, a calm and apologetic Robert Carabuena went to the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) to say sorry and ask the public for a “second chance.”
News5’s Jun Loyola reported that Carabuena arrived at the MMDA office at around 8 a.m. Thursday with his lawyer. He stayed about five minutes and left after delivering his public apology in the presence of MMDA officers and personnel.

“Hindi po lingid sa karamihan ang aking ipinakitang hindi kagandahang asal (It’s not unknown to many the bad behavior I showed),” Carabuena said. “Ako po ay humihingi ng kapatawaran (I ask for forgiveness).”

Carabuena said he didn’t leave his home after the incident, which was caught on tape by the staff of TV5’s T3 program, blew over the Internet, spurring discussions on the conduct of motorists and MMDA officers on the streets.
Carabuena said he wished to personally apologize to MMDA traffic enforcer Saturnino Fabros, who was not at the MMDA office at the time.
“Kung meron man akong hihiling sa puntong ito ay mabigyan po sana ako ng pangalawang pagkakataon (If I can ask for one thing at this point is to be given a second chance),” Carabuena said.
The suspended Philip Morris employee pleaded to MMDA Chairman Francis Tolentino not to cancel his driver’s license, saying he needs it for work.
Notwithstanding the apology, Tolentino said that a case of direct assault filed against Carabuena will push through, according to a tweet by MMDA Traffic Director Yves Gonzalez

This I will suggest to this hot tempered fellow…he will aggree to Plead Guilty to the charge of Physcical Assault and as one of the Condition of the Plea has to take an Anger Management Counselling and be certified to be in Control of his Temper and Ego and also will be Fined to the Max and will Pay monetary damages to the Victim Family…let us say, since his livelihood depends on the Plea a good amount to pay for at least a Child’s Schoolarship…Deal?and make the deal public to make the other Carabuenas aware of the consequence.

Vic, I have a better idea. Sasampalin siya ng malakas sa magkabilang pisngi ng lahat ng mga empleyado ng MMDA. Dapat live on TV. Then quits na. 😛
His license should be revoked, or at least suspended for a longer time. He only apologized because he got caught and brought even his company to shame.
He should be made to suffer all the legal consequences of his action. He should not be let off so easily for being such a big bully. And what about his brother? He was complicit in the crime, too.

Balitang balita ngayon, pinagbabato at pinagmumura siya ng mga tao sa labas ng Prosecutor’s Office sa Quezon City. at itinakbo sa isang hindi pinangalang hospital, baka sa St. Luke’s..
Dapat ang mga taong nagkakasala ay hindi na talaga bigyan ng pangalawang pagkakataon. Kung siya ay pagbibigyan pa ng isang pagkakataon paano kung ang mga taong may kagaya ng asal niya ay gumawa din kasi bibigyan din sila ng pangalawang pagkakataon. Dapat parusahan para hindi tularan. Damage has been done already. Hindi na niya maitutuwid ang nagawang kahihiyan na dulot niya.
