I’m asking for your patience if you are experiencing problems with this blog. Together with the VERA Files site, we have been hacked.
It’s a subtle kind of hacking but it’s making it a little difficult for us. It’s a bit irritating.
We are fixing this problem.
Please bear with us.
Ellen
What kind of hacking? Defacement? Redirection? Deletions?
I noticed that the links at the bottom are all gone. Those are Google Ad links for monetization. Another link, that one by Juan Mercado (Iskandalo Cafe) has an article postdated July 29, 2012. – a telltale sign that some dangerous activity has been undertaken.
Defacement, illegitimate connection.
Do you see a big white space on at the upper part of this page. There should not be a white space.
It’s more serious with VERA Files.
Sino kaya ang tinamaan na matindi this time? Sabagay, ongoing activity ang hacking sa sites mo Ellen. 🙂
I’ve scanned your page. It’s clean now.
The Vera Files homepage is screwed. It looks like the main xml code just needs to be reloaded from the backup (If there’s one).
Thanks, Tongue. The repair is ongoing.
The web expert doing it said backing up the files takes time.
I have a blog myself and sometimes it behaves irratically. I thought the same, that some hacking was going on, but I had no way to prove it. Funny thing, for a second or two, to think that my blog is important enough to hack. True enough, it just fixed itself.
Actually, some aberration happens even with yahoo pages, some XML error. Happens a lot with Uniffors, more often when accessed in Ipad2.
Not to say that Ellen’s blog may not be a target of hacking. Just saying what’s out there.
@#7: so, what’s your blog site name, mabisita nga.
Yuga (Our blog host and administrator) said they found out that “the hacker attacks all files with the name header.php. This includes all themes installed and other core files of WordPress.”
It looks like we were not the only one victimized.
Ellen,
I noticed that your recent posts that may be interpreted s critical of the president no longer appear on the blog. Can’t find them.
Someone has seriously targeted specific topics.
Also must say that it takes me ages to log in; really annoying which is not the case on other blogs I visit. There may be a rational explanation but having been a victim of hackers, cloners, etc, myself, I am naturally suspicious.
