Former actor and senator Ramon Revilla, Jr. is truly an amazing person.
News reports about the quarrel over the P1 million family monthly allowance from the padre de familia as the motive behind the Oct. 28 murder of 23-year old Ramgen Jose Bautista made me more in awe of the 84–year old Revilla Sr, Jose Acuña Bautista in real life.
Results of police investigation, which the Revilla family finds “unbelievable”, reveal that Ramgen was murdered by killers hired by his 18-year brother, Ramon Jose, with his 22-year old sister Ramona as accomplice.
The police said their information came from Ramgen’s girlfriend, Janelle Manahan, who was also shot in the face and is still in critical condition in the hospital and from the hired killers who were arrested two days after Sen. Ramon “Bong” Revilla (Jose Marie Mortel Bautista in real life) put up a P500,000 reward for the arrest of the killers.
It must have been a shock for the senator to know that his incentive would bag his half-brother and half-sister.
Reports said the P1 million monthly allowance from the patriarch of the Revilla clan was for his nine children with former starlet Genelyn Magsaysay. Genelyn, reports said, has a separate allowance.
It was Ramgen, being the eldest, reports also said, who handled the P1 million allowance.
A sidebar to the Ramgen murder story was an item about the prolificacy of Revilla Sr.
Former student activist Portia Ilagan, who is now spokesperson for Sen. Bong Revilla, said the old man Revilla has 72 children with 16 different women.
Lolit Solis, talent manager of Bong Revilla, who was also an actor before he became a senator, was quoted in newspapers as having said, “He (Revilla Sr) does not neglect his children. He takes care of all of them.”
If that is so, he must be rolling in money. Imagine if you multiply the P1 million monthly allowance that he gives to one “family” by 16, that would be P16 million a month. It’s not a one- shot gift. It’s a monthly subsidy!

Business students should study how Revilla Sr has parlayed a showbiz career to politics to financial bonanza.
His biodata showed that he has a degree in Commerce from Far Eastern University. He must have learned something in FEU that he used to build a financial empire with funds deep enough to spend at least P16 million monthly just for allowances of his children.
In politics, whoever is in Malacañang can always rely on Revilla’s support. He supported Fidel Ramos’ priority bills. Same thing with Joseph Estrada and Gloria Arroyo.
In his 12-years as senator, Revilla Sr acquired a franchise to the very lucrative public works committee which he has passed on to his son, Bong.
After Revilla retired from the Senate, Gloria Arroyo appointed him chairman of the Public Estates Authority, an agency that serves as clearing house of all reclamation projects. President Aquino retained him for that position.
I called up PEA yesterday and I was told that Revilla Sr., who suffered a stroke and underwent angioplasty in Nov. 2008, resigned as its chairman last month.

But it looks like, in the case of the death of Ram, if it is really true that his own brother and sister plotted the murder, hindi maganda ang patutunguhan ng mga anak niya sa pamilyang ito. Is it true that the senior Revilla has a DNA set up for when he passes on, anyone who claims that he/she is a child of his is welcomed into the clan. May “open” door policy pala si “Agimat”.

Nobody thought how filthy rich this family is until today. Let’s call spade a spade. This is a product of corruption of a corrupt public official. In the calculation above- 16million = 192 million a year, and for how many years that has been going on.
God works in mysterious ways although I wouldn’t say that He has a hand on what happened in his family. Maybe it’s just one way to expose something; a bird’s eye view on the life of the super rich, famous and powerful, on how a B-actor turned politician-senator would become so filthy rich using his “agimat” considering that his income does not commensurate his lifestyle.
I have to disagree that business students can learn from Agimat, lessons on how to build a financial empire. If anything, it’s something that uses “hokus pokus” or agimat to amass such wealth. Schools do not offer courses on stealing and corruption.

Sa unang comment ko na sana mali ang mga pulis sa sinabi na ang dahilan ay P 1 milyon na sustento. P1,000,000 divide by 9= P111,111.00
P100,000 a month is a salary of an executive of a company and one should be able to live comfortably with that.
But for someone who is used to a pampered lifestyle (does not take the bus, dependent on maids, etc. etc.),does not work and earn, and possibly into drugs, P100,000 is not enough.
That is probably what Genelyn is saying na naghihirap sila.

A maid of former actress Princess Revilla was forced to flee from Princess’s house after the maid allegedly became the recipient of such physical violence that it might look like a scene out of a wrestling match.
Princess is the daughter of former senator Ramon Revilla Sr. and the younger sister of Senator Bong Revilla.
According to the maid, whose name was withheld, she had been getting beatings for some time now from Princess. But it was until recently that the beatings escalated because the former actress was confronted by her husband, Dr. Gregorio Ocampo, regarding the harsh treatment she had been giving to the maid. The couple reportedly quarreled, and after the quarrel was over, Princess allegeldy proceeded to beat up the maid.
The maid had long endured the sadistic treatment but it was only yesterday, June 11, that she decided to end her suffering. Clambering up a concrete wall, she jumped and ran for freedom. Security guards nearby saw the bruised and bewildered-looking girl and took her to the Rizal Medical Center for treatment.
At the hospital, it was observed that the maid could hardly speak or sit since her mouth, as well as her buttocks, were covered with bruises and was sporting a Royal Blue color, allegedly courtesy of Princess’s whacking.
The maid said that she was beaten up by Princess, Rebecca Revilla-Ocampo in real life, using a walis tambo (broom) until it broke. The blows were so strong that it slightly cracked the maid’s upper palette.

Anyway, back to topic. The reason why I posted Genelyn’s FB quote is to show that both the senator and Genelyn were not in good terms. So anything that Sen. Bong says against her and her kids is suspect. He might have some symphathies for his half siblings with what they’ve been going thru. But the perceived “senator protecting the suspects” and backlash from the social media, etc… Suddenly changed his tone from being protective to being against his onw siblings.
Tandaan nyo, magaling (daw) na artista si Bong. Mahirap hulaan ang kanyang saloobin at motibo. Kaya ko po ito sinasabi ang mga ito ay sa dahilang baka magkatotoo ang kanyang pangarap na tumakbong presidente ng Pilipinas at manalo.

Money issues could be the motive of the killers. But their are other possibe motives why the killers want Ram dead. News reports say that the victim, an aspiring actor-politician is a favorite son of Ramon Sr. It’s possible that an insecure sibling who wants to be the favorite wants Ram dead. Hmmm…
