The blotter report from the Quezon City Police District Detachment 9 in Anonas, Quezon City has this entry:
“Aug 31 935pm: This time and date SG Ricardo Bonayog y Gate 33 years old SG of Eagle Watch posted at Ayala Technohub UP Campus Diliman Quezon City appeared personally before this stn and requested to be placed on records to wit. That at 430pm Aug 31 2011 while he was performing his duty one Porsche Carrera colored silver was with plate number 8 appeared with the company of one Innova Red PCI 150 allegedly on said TDPO the occupant of the Porsche Carrera approached him and with reasons of his own got irked then boxed him several times causing him to fell on the ground in the presence of some witness.”
Lanao del Sur Rep. Mohammed Hussein Pangandaman has admitted he was the one involved in the mauling incident.
The UP-Ayala Land Technohub, in a statement without indentifying Pangandaman said, “The drivers of the said vehicles allegedly refused to go through the usual security check required at the parking facility.”
Inquirer reported last Monday that while Bonayog was brought to Quirino Medical Center, Pangandaman and company went on to eat at Pizza Hut.
Pangandaman has a different version of the mauling incident. In fact, he said there was no mauling, he said.
According to Interaksyun, online edition of TV5, Pangandaman, claimed “they were the ones that were attacked” by the guard. Fantastic!
Pangandaman, according to Interaksyun, said he had arrived at the Technohub with three of his staff and a police security to meet his lawyer. As his car entered the parking lot, he said the guard had inspected his plate number in front and at the back and said, “Pucha, 8 din.”
Pangandaman said he had tried to talk to the guard when he got off the car but that the latter moved to draw his firearm.
He didn’t mention any mauling. He said he just had asked his police security to find out the identity of the guard and file a complaint for harassment.
This is not the first time that a member of the Pangandaman family was involved in a mauling incident. In December 2008, Mohammed Hussein’s brother, Mayor Nasser Pangandaman, Jr., Mayor of Masiu City, Lanao del Sur (I’m not sure if he is till the mayor), and his father, then Secretary of Agrarian Reform Secretary Nasser Pangandaman, also Peace Process adviser, figured in a mauling incident of a 14 year old golfer, Bino de la Paz, and his 56-year old father, Delfin at Valley Golf and Country Club, Antipolo City.
Investigation by the Valley Golf and Country Club showed both parties were at fault. The Club expelled Delfin de la Paz and suspended Secretary Pangandaman for two years.
Pangandaman Sr is also a member of the 15th Congress as representative of AA-Kasosyo partylist.
House Deputy Speaker Lorenzo Tañada III the House committee on ethics can only act on the incident if a complaint is filed, which is non-existent as of now, or if another member of the lower House takes up the cudgels for the complainant.
So, what’s Mikey Arroyo waiting for? As representative of the security guards, he should take up the cudgels for Banayog. He should not wait for Banayog to go to him as he said in Cebu (“Syempre pag lumapit sakin yun siyempre di ko tataboy yan.”) He should seek him out.
Let’s see if he will dare move to censure a known ally. Pangandaman may be suspended or expelled if found guilty.
Recently, Zaldy Ampatuan, former governor of the Autonomous region for Muslim Mindanao, and now in prison in connection with the Nov. 2009 Maguindanao massacre, revealed that Gloria Arroyo got P200 million of funds intended for farm-to-market roads in ARMM, through Pangandaman Sr.
ABS-CBN reported that “In the first affidavit, Zaldy said a memorandum of agreement was signed “between May and July 2009″ between the Maguindanao provincial office and the Department of Agrarian Reform for a P500-million farm-to-market road project.
“In this project, I learned from my father, Andal Ampatuan Sr., that President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, through DAR Secretary Nasser Pangandaman, demanded 30% or P150 million,” said Zaldy, the ARMM governor at the time.
“In the second affidavit, Zaldy said Pangandaman on a separate occasion “sometime between March and August 2009″ asked for 20 percent or P30 million.”

Let’s see if mikey will act on this. In the first place, being a representative of security guards (allegedly he represent them) he SHOULD have acted on it immediately.
But I hope and suggest to Mr. Bonayog to go and see mickey in his office to seek his assistance, being their representative.

The security guard who was allegedly mauled by a congressman last week will not be pursuing charges against the lawmaker from Mindanao anymore out of fear for his own life.
On Wednesday, security guard Ricardo Bonayog was supposed to file a complaint against Lanao del Sur Rep. Mohammed Hussein Pangandaman before the Commission on Human Rights, but he chose not to show up, saying he did not want to “go against” a politician.
“Natatakot po ako kasi ang nakabangga ka po ay malaking tao po. Mayroon hong katungkulan po sa gobyerno. Simpleng tao lang po ako,” Bonayog said in a phone interview with reporters.
Nonetheless, Bonayog appealed Pangandaman to issue an apology for the incident.
“Mas maganda po sana kung mag-sorry po si Congressman Pangandaman po,” he said.
In refusing to file a complaint against the lawmaker, Bonayog said he was not threatened by Pangandaman’s camp in doing so.
“Gusto ko na lang pong manahimik… Pinapatawad ko na po siya [Pangandaman],” he said.

Ellen, since the Security guard already filed criminal complainst with the Police, the cops could pursue the charges if evidence so warrant and if the Guard would not co-operate, then call him as a hostile witness and let the court decides after listening to his testimonies under oath…he still can not lie even he is a hostile witness since that will be committing perjury if the it will contradict other witnesses or other evidence to the incident… it not really necessary for the victim to even appear in court if the evidence strong enough..just his complaints might even do and medical records…but then again, maybe “blood”money already passed hands.
