Aba, napikon si Arroyo. Tumayo, tiniklop ang sleeves ng kanyang shirt na para talagang siga at hinamon si Arias ng suntukan:“If you want, let’s settle this outside. (Kung gusto mo sa labas na lang natin ito lutasin).”
Akala niya siguro manginginig ang batang abogado. Ngunit hindi siya inurungan ni Arias: “Alright, let’s settle this outside. (Halika, doon tayo sa labas.)”
Nagpa-alam si Arias sa judge na mag-break muna para magsuntukan sila ni Arroyo sa labas ng korte.
Pumagitna ang abogado ni Arroyo at humingi ng paumanhin sa judge. Nagsorry din si Arroyo at nangako siyang hindi na maulit ang ganung insidente.
Hindi na nga naulit dahil inatake si Arroyo sa puso. Nang gumaling siya, inurong niya ang lahat na libel suits niya sa mga journalists. (Yung aming kaso sa kanya, hindi naming inuurong at nandun pa sa Makati Regional trial Court.)
Galit si Arroyo kay Archibald Po, president ng LionAir na nagbuking sa kanya sa pagbenta niya ng dalawang lumang helicopter sa Philippine National Police sa halagang bago. Hindi raw niya papayagan si Po na gamitin ang kanyang pangalan sa ginawa niyang krimen.

The Arroyo’s knew what they were doing when they did it, they have studied every legal angle possible, they have studied the legal playbook our justice system uses. As I said, their lawyers can run circles around our government lawyers, leave them in the dust cying fowl while they run laughing all the way to the bank. They have no qualms in breaking, bending, taking advantage of loopholes, they do not play by the rules but exploit the cracks in them, we on the other hand are painstakingly following the rules.
Imagine Manny Paquio fighting an equally strong opponent but bites, uses elbows, head butts, rubs the underside of the wrist part of the gloves in his eyes, but the Pacman is still playing clean.
Look at how easily they deposed and jailed Erap? Bagged and gift wrapped in a matter of 2 years. The president of a whole nation, with the supposed might of the government, the AFP, the PNP, the backing of the people – bagged and gift wrapped and thrown in prison unceremoniosly in record time. Make no mistake, these people are formidable enemies, we can learn much from these people though, and this challenge that lie before us is an opportunity to expose these cracks in the system, where we can make some improvements.
The president should not micromanage this one, he has more pressing issues to attend to, chief of all if the Economy. Why aren’t there any champions coming out?

The former president underwent surgery last July 29 for cervical spondylosis, an age-related deterioration in the bones of the neck, causing a misalignment in the spine which in turn puts pressure on the nerves that transmit signals to the upper extremities. A titanium plate was implanted in the part of Arroyo’s neck to realign the deformed spine.
But Dr. Cervantes said that after Arroyo was discharged from the hospital last week, infection set in, requiring a second surgery to remove the damaged implant.
Cervantes said that Arroyo’s neck was being held by an “external support” in lieu of the implant.
She said that Arroyo would undergo a third operation for a new implant once her condition improves.
As of posting time, Cervantes said Arroyo was unconscious although her vital signs remained stable.

Second surgery on Gloria Arroyo fails
Former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo’s seven-hour follow-up surgery at St. Luke’s Medical Center on Wednesday was “unsuccessful” because doctors found a “very rare” infection that prevented the replacement of implants in her spine.
Dr. Juliet Gopez-Cervantes said the infection had caused fluid to collect in Arroyo’s cervical spine and dislodged the titanium plates that surgeons had installed 12 days ago.
“It is unfortunate that this happened. We did everything,” Cervantes, Arroyo’s chief physician, told reporters in a briefing just before 6 Wednesday night.
“If there is word that says the surgery [was] unsuccessful—I know you wanted me to address that… It was unsuccessful probably because as of now we cannot replace the implant yet. We have to first treat the infection,” Cervantes said.
But she said Arroyo’s “vital signs—blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, temperature—are normal.”
Earlier in the day, Arroyo’s husband, Jose Miguel “Mike” Arroyo, told ABS-CBN reporters that the surgery did not turn out well.

If what is happening in the senate is in a court of law, with all witnesses and evidences coming out, it looks like the Big Mike is a dead man walking. No exit in sight except a steel-gated door leading to a cell where he spends the rest of his life.
But the senate however extensive their investigations and findings, has no power to indict, prosecute and declare him guilty. Any results of their findings are only recommendatory.
So what’s the government waiting for; go to court, that’s where the real and legal battleground is. Diyan masusubukan kung mapapanindigan niya yong astang siga niya.
