  1. Hi Ellen,

Just read previous posts saying that Messrs Versoza and Puno have been cleared by Malacanang review panel.

In other words, only the lil injuns will be made to pay for the overall incompetence and derilection of duty committed during the hostage debacle on Aug 23.

I’m just gobsmacked…Philippines will remain in a rut because the big injun chiefs who were grossly incompetent, inept and thoroughly unqualified for the job are being baby sat by the biggest injun chief of all.

Fucking hell! Never seen anything like it! Eight people died during hostage crisis that was manned, supervised and managed by inept cabinet and govt officials and they are fucking cleared????? These same sweating pigs don’t even have an iota of decency to fucking step down???? I hope they fry in their own fat!

Shit, double shit and fucking shit to all of them!

I’ll borrow that dreaded phrase from our former Ellenville colleague: “Kawawang bansa!”

Noynoy has just lost one potential supporter. Due to my lack of creativity, I am now willing to call him AbNoy.

  3. NFA rice NFA rice

50 years old, matanda na. To be fair, Josh has a good reason to be childish.

  4. 2b1ask1 2b1ask1

If autism is hereditary like in the case of Presidential nephew Josh, then Noynoy could also be suffering slightly from it.

IIRC Report is only recomendary but Malacanang should not alter it in any way. Let the IIRC Report be submitted for prosecution in its entirety. The Court is the one to decide. If Malacanang does this to every Investigative Body she commissioned, then what guarantee do we have that Noynoy would not alter the Truth Commission?

Shit, double shit and fucking shit to all of them! – Anna

    Agree, agree, agreeeeeee!!!

  6. Mike Mike

I wish you guys would lay off Josh. He has nothing to do with what his uncle is doing. It is so mean and so much below the belt.

  7. 2b1ask1 2b1ask1

Unlike NFA rice who first mentioned about Josh, my comment was based on the medical point of view. Autism is something needs not be ashamed of. It happens to everyone. The question is if it’s hereditary.

  8. vonjovi2 vonjovi2

  9. Chi,

    I second the motion 🙂

  10. vonjovi2 vonjovi2

  11. NFA rice NFA rice

Yeah, the Josh reference was unfair to Josh as I have already mentioned, and for that my apologies.

Maybe PeNoy should shut up to give his Office a semblance of respectability?

  12. 2b1ask1 2b1ask1

But if not Noynoy, who should be the President now? If only Gilbert Teodoro was not a GMA Administration candidate, he would have been a good President.

  13. @2b1ask1 – October 12, 2010 3:50 am

But if not Noynoy, who should be the President now?

Water under the bridge in my view. Thing to do now is to make sure that he works for his pay. If he doesn’t work well enough, throw tomatoes at him until he learns. If he continues to play dumb, then send him shit by the truckload until he pees in his pants — that should put some sense in him (hopefully!)

  14. haay naku…what will be will be…
we’re better off doing something in our control like adopting a barangay high school, its not an easy feat i tell you but its a lot more rewarding than getting neurosis… 🙂

  15. gilbert teodoro, hmmm, if the IIRC existed during his time he would have been investigated also re AFP guns and ammunition given to the ampatuans…then again, there’s no IIRC in his time…did he ask for one? nope…

  16. Tedanz Tedanz

  17. chi chi

Too much time, money and effort wasted ha, Tedanz?

  18. baycas2 baycas2

(I’ve no time to read all relevant news and documents…have to meet deadlines. Anyway, here are quick thoughts…)

I wish IIRC report will be compared to ES-CPLC report (or Ochoa-de Mesa memorandum – “the review of the review”). Here’s the link:

    http://www.abs-cbnnews.com/insights/10/11/10/malacañang-review-iirc-hostage-crisis-report

Verzosa preempted the administrative charge to be leveled against him by retiring early.

On Puno, “the review of the review” (TROTR) relied on the IIRC, a hurriedly accomplished report with limitations. Garbage-in-garbage-out (GIGO)? The TROTR contained the crisis into a local one. Elevating it to a national crisis will net Robredo AND P.Noy, of course! Damage control from the start.

On Gregorio Mendoza, the TROTR is non-committal with regard to possible charge: accomplice or accessory? Well, he was already criminally charged anyway…even before the IIRC report came out.

As to Rogas and Tulfo, it’s expected…freedom of the press, the main reason. Besides, KBP already has its own “secret” investigation even before the IIRC report. KBP has its VP in the person of Canoy…whose family owns RMN. One plus one equals…

  19. Tedanz Tedanz

Dejavu, all over again!

    Same shit, different president.

  21. This is Joe Seguerra’s reaction: (I like it so very much)

    This is getting serious.

  22. I’m the bull terrier sitting at the end of the quieu 😉 😉 😉

  23. chi chi

    Bwahahaha! Ganyan talaga ang mangyayari.

  24. DOUBLE LIKE on the picture on 21! hahaha!!!

Ako una kasi pipila uli ako…hahaha!

  27. henry90 henry90

. . Sarap pala pag bobo ka at napaglaruan mo ang matatalino no? Parang si Erap. High School drop-out pero naging Presidente. Utusan lang sina bar topnotcher Ronnie Zamora. . .wehehehehe. . . 😛

  28. Henry,

Careful now…the reverse could also be said of those who voted and believed in him; someone might just tell you that just because 15 million or so people voted for Aquino (am one of the 15 million or so voters who voted for your dear pal, btw), i.e., believed that Aquino was the most eligible, the most brilliant and the most of the mostest of the presidential contenders, incomparable, etc., etc., doesn’t necessarily mean that they were right.

(It’s like saying that tons of white Americans who practiced slavery believing that it was the right thing were correct just because there was a whole lot of them.)

Of course, you can insist that Aquino outmaneuvered these poor 15 million or so sods and this alone is proof that he is infinitely smarter, fabulously more wizardly, greater trickster, outrageously more talented than all of the 15 million or so sods put together (imagine getting 15 million or so sods to take you seriously? Why, that’s no mean feat! 😉 )

  29. Ellen,

    Re no. 21

Pity, if only Puno has the intelligence of Rin Tin Tin or Lassie, things would be different… 😉

  30. Oh, and Henry, right you are in the absolute…

Of course, Pres Aquino and the rest of his buddies couldn’t be culpable…no way! They didn’t shoot the eight tourists dead at all on 23 August… After all, most of the gentlemen in question in the De Lima report were having tea and hot scones in a tea room nearby when the killing spree happened; big police chief himself was on tour somewhere in the country (Pacific side)…So, how could they be culpable?

Why, Filipinos who say they [the hostage crisis station people) should be held responsible are all barking mad!!!! Who the hell are they that they should even begin to contemplate accusing these noble gentlemen.

  31. henry90 henry90

    Anna:

You know better than that. I’m humoring my friends here in Ellenville who are so fixated with Puno, et al. hehehe. 😛

  32. henry90 henry90

And Anna, please read my posts above why they can’t make the charges stick against Puno and Versoza. If they don’t have any idea about the extent of Command Responsibility these ‘noble gentlemen’ had during the incident, then I won’t debate with them. They should ask for a manual on that so they can be enlightened. 😛

  33. Don’t worry Henry, I believe you 😀

  34. Dang! If only Puno HAD the intelligence of my doggie, Aquino wouldn’t be losing the last strands of hair he’s got on that pretty lil head of his 😀

  35. 2b1ask1 2b1ask1

All Presidents and leaders make bad decisions. This IRRC Report is one Noynoy made this early in his term.

  36. Those who doubted Ellen’s sources and her reports earlier on who’s gonna walk or not, and even the specific details of the charges to be filed or not, then this is the proof.

Now, you people know whom to read. She was spot on. From every angle.

  37. I told my friends I was writing an evaluation of BS Aquino’s 100-day performance but cannot get started. One replied “you could just use my song instead”. It was Stevie Wonder.

    So here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fV9j_eY7w3I

“You Haven’t Done Nothing” by Stevie Wonder

We are amazed but not amused
By all the things you say that you’ll do
Though much concerned but not involved
With decisions that are made by you

But we are sick and tired of hearing your song
Telling how you are gonna change right from wrong
‘Cause if you really want to hear our views
    “You haven’t done nothing”!

It’s not too cool to be ridiculed
But you brought this upon yourself
The world is tired of pacifiers
We want the truth and nothing else

And we are sick and tired of hearing your song
Telling how you are gonna change right from wrong
‘Cause if you really want to hear our views
    “You haven’t done nothing”!

Jackson 5 join along with me say
Doo doo wop – hey hey hey
Doo doo wop – wow wow wow
Doo doo wop – co co co
Doo doo wop – naw naw naw
Doo doo wop – bum bum bum
    Doo doo wop

We would not care to wake up to the nightmare
    That’s becoming real life
But when misled who knows a person’s mind
Can turn as cold as ice un hum

Why do you keep on making us hear your song
Telling us how you are changing right from wrong
‘Cause if you really want to hear our views
    “You haven’t done nothing”!
    Yeah

Jackson 5 sing along again say
    Doo doo wop
    Doo doo wop – oh
Doo doo wop – co co co
Doo doo wop – sing it baby
Doo doo wop – bum bum bum
    Doo doo wop – um
Sing it loud for your people say
Doo doo wop – um um um

Doo doo wop – stand up be counted, say
Doo doo wop – co co co
    Doo doo wop – ow
Doo doo wop – bum bum bum
Doo doo wop – ah hum

    **************

I would have boldfaced all the lines that were really right on target, but hey, EVERYTHING’s right on target!

    Thank you, Stevie!

  39. Akbayan statement:

Akbayan welcomes the filing of charges against several public officials for their alleged mishandling of the August 23 hostage tragedy. Particularly, we commend the filing of appropriate charges against Manila City Mayor Alfredo Lim, Manila Police District (MPD) Chief Superintendent Rodolfo Magtibay, National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) chief Director Leocadio Santiago, Negotiator Superintendent Orlando Yebra, and Manila Police Special Weapons and Tactics Unit head Chief Inspector Santiago Pascual III.

However, we are surprised if not disappointed that the other recommendations made by the IIRC were set aside. Particularly, we question a part of the recommendation that absolved two top officials despite the facts showing their imprudence and negligence over the incident. We hope that in the coming days the Office of the President will seriously reconsider some of these points. We believe some of the overlooked recommendations are very important to the government’s effort to exact greater work efficiency from its people, enhanced police accountability and institutional reforms in the security sector.

We also welcome the plan of the Office of the President to initiate administrative proceedings and an investigation against Deputy Ombudsman Emilio Gonzalez III for “neglect of duty and/or inefficiency in the performance of official duty” as well as for his alleged involvement in an alleged P 150,000 bribe attempt in exchange for the immediate action on the case of the SPO2 Gregorio Mendoza.

Likewise, we laud the Aquino government for enjoining the House of Representatives to take the “appropriate action” against Ombudsman Merciditas Gutierrez as recommended by the IRRC Report. This is a positive sign that Pres. Aquino is committed to the process of removing Gutierrez from office and a political signal to Congress particularly, to the Committee on Justice to remain steadfast in its task of exacting accountability from the ombudsman.

Frankly very interested in finding out the truth about this!!!

#28. Henry, I don’t believe PNoy is bobo, hindi rin sya autistic, pero kalbo…Oo :). I just wish he relies more on his God-given talent and not on his bffs. Hindi yan ma-avoid because he is the president, but devotion to friends must be set aside if he is to fulfill his promise of “country first”. Ito nga, ke aga-aga nagwawala na si Puno, he should know when to let go of a friend.

  43. henry90 henry90

OMG! Why didn’t anyone pointed this out before? It only hit me now. Reading through the matrix Vera Files made comparing the findings and recomendations made by the IIRC and Malacanang, I now knew why PNoy ordered a review. In the case of Puno and Versoza (the only 2 gents who mattered to the critics), the findings were countermanding Pnoy’s order for the use of SAF in the assault and so administrative/criminal proceedings should be initiated against them. This won’t stick. Why? Remember the findings of the autopsy report that all the 8 victims were all shot and killed by Mendoza even before the order to assault was given? This was pointed out clearly by the driver himself. So, kahit US Delta Force pa ang ginamit doon sa rescue, wala ring silbi kasi nga patay na yung mga hostages bago pa man inassault yung bus. he assault order was given as a last resort when Mendoza started shooting his hostages. I don’t know why the IIRC missed this point. Any one cares to refute this? 😛

  44. 2b1ask1 2b1ask1

The cops had so many chances to neutralize or disable Mendoza when he stood openly at the door. There’s an unwritten code among cops not to harm one another. Even PMAers have this camaraderie. When Mendoza started shooting, there was no guarantee that every hostage was shot dead. In an encounter or gun battle, the chance of those being wounded or survived the shots should be considered. It’s only when the smoke has cleared the air that we could count who has died or who survived. And how could the driver know all were killed when he was handcuffed at the driver seat? Did he walk to the back of the bus and check if all were killed? No. He jumped out of the window when he got free.
