Sa ating pagboto bukas, ipagdasal natin na maging mapayapa at maayos ang eleksyun, kasama na ang bilangan.
Ipagdasal natin na ang resulta ng eleksyun ay siya talagang kagustuhan ng taumbayan. Na sana ang gusting maggulo at magmani-obra ng resulta ng eleksyun katulad ng nangyari noong 2004 na eleksyun ay hindi magtatagumpay.
Kahit sino ang mananalo, basta malinis lang ang eleksyun, madali tanggapin.
Botohin natin ang gusto nating kandidato. Kung ano man ang rason ng iyong pagboto, personal man kung ano man, karapatan mo yun. Gayundin, respetuhin nyo din ang karapatan ng ibang tao na pumili ng gusto niyang kandidato kahit iba sa gusto nyo.
Sa bise presidente, iboboto ko si Mar Roxas.
Sa Constitution, isa lang ang trabaho ng bise-presidente. Ang magiging handa na magiging presidente sakaling may mangyari sa naka-upong presidente. Ang record ng performance ni Mar mula pa nang siya ay congressman, hanggang siya ay naging trade secretary, ay magaling.
Sa administrasyon ni Aquino , pwede rin siya bigyan ng katungkulan sa cabinet. Pwedeng secretay of foreign affairs.
Maliban sa kanyang kakayahan, maayos ang kalooban ni Mar. Ito ay nakita nang nagdesisyun siyang ipaubaya ang pagka-presidente kay Nonoy Aquino na siyang hiningi ng marami bunsod ng pagkamatay ni Panguling Cory Aquino.
Hindi madali yun kay Mar dahil matagal na niyang pinaghandaan ang pagka-pangulo ngunit sa kanyang pagbaba sa pagka-bise presidente, pinakita niya na kaya niya isakripisyo ang kanyang paerosnal na ambisyun para sa kapakanan ng bayan.
Dahil sa kanyang pagpaubaya kay Noynoy, lumakas ang kanilang tiket na nangakong tapusin ang hawak sa kapangyarihan ni Gloria Arroyo.
Sabihin nyo sa mga kamang-anak, kapitbahay at kaibigan: botohin si Mar Roxas para bise-presidente.
Sa senador, tatlo ang dalawa ang pinapaki-usap ko sa inyo: si Danny Lim (numero 28), si Ariel Querubin (numero 47) at Alex Lacson (numero 23).
Itong tatlo ay personal kung kilala na mararangal na mga tao. Si Lim at si Querubin ay nakakulong ngayon dahil sa akusasyon na nagtangka silang mag-withdraw ng suporta kay Aryoo noong Pebrero 2006 nang mabulgar na si Arroyo pala ang mastermind ng dayaan noong 2004 na eleksyun.
Maraming tao na magaling lang sa paghikaya ng tao, ngunit pagdating na ng oras, hindi na sila mahagilap. Iba sina Lim at Querubin. Handa silang magsakripisyo para sa bayan.
Si Alex Lacson ay nakilala ko dahil abogado siya ng isa ring nakakulong na opisyal, si Col. Custodio Parcon. Mabait at matalino si Lacson at napakababa ng loob.
Ang karamihan sa listahan ko ng senador ay baguhan. Sobra sa 12 ang aking gusto at medyo nahihirapan ako pumili.
Dadaanin ko na lang kara sa cara y cruz kasama ang dasal.
A change in the voting process is a must, I can’t over reemphasize this notion. That genre of electorates who only casts their votes due to name recognition ONLY (i.e Jinggoy, Lito, Bong, Pakyaw etc…, should not be part of the process. Good decent people as the ones mentioned above, who aren’t even close to the Magic 12, is quite disappointing for those who really want “new faces” in congress and the senate.

Voting is a right that should be exercised wisely. It’s sad to think that majority of electorate has not yet reach maturity. Many still lives in the old school of thought that voting for someone who is fully qualified but not winnable is a waste and voting for a winnable but least qualified is alright just to be identified with a winner or to just get rid of someone hated by so many. This is a pathetic, a defeatist and a loser attitude.
This is not making a wise choice but just going with the flow or bending with the wind but still that’s how democracy works.

Pwede daw mga 20 voters simultaneously. Average time is 8 minutes per voter. Palagay na nating 10 minutes per voter para may allowance. So sa isang oras mga 120 voters ang dapat makaboto. 1000 voters devide 120, nasa 8.3 hours yan. Pero di naman 100% per precinct ang voters turnout. Kaya kung walang aberyang grabe, kayang malaman ang resulta on that day.

I think I’ve told you not just once (but a few times) about the French experience which involved only the presidential election (not parliament).
There was a huge bottleneck in most precincts were electronic voting was installed owing to folks, mostly the older ones, who held up the electronic machine and voting became so slow slow. Voting precinct commissioners finally had to do away with the machines and went back to the good, old manual voting system halfway. They reckoned that if they’d gone ahead with the electronic voting, at least a third of the voters would have been disenfranchised.
This is what is really really on top of my mind in Pinas — and to think that there are so many boxes to think.

May bottleneck talaga kaya nga dapat well prepared na rin ang mga botante, like having their list, para hindi na sila maging cause of delay, maki-cooperate sa maayos na proceedings sa mga presinto. Magiging isang problema ang mag-overheat ang mga PCOS machines.
Okay lang naman na may delay basta lang matapos ang bilangan on the same day at maprotektahan pa rin ang mga ballots and paraphernalia in case of irregularities, dahil may random sampling para sa manual audit. Experience ko nung last election, pinagtatalunan yung Equity of the Incumbent Rule, naglabas ng pekeng COMELEC resolution ang kampo ng kalaban na dahil sinuspend si Mayor Peewee ng Ombudsman, ang incumbent daw ay yung acting Mayor. Mabuti na lang napaghandaan namin at nagistribute kami ng maaga ng kopya ng desisyong pinirmahan mismo ng Chief ng Legal ng Comelec, si Alioden Daligdig (RIP). Ini-announce ng principal sa PA System na i-disregard yung pekeng resolusyon ng kalaban.
Example lang yan. Wala nang silbi ngayon yung Equity of the Incumbent kasi wala na ngayong kandidatong kapangalan (at least sa National). Naalala ba ninyo yung Peter Cayetano? Wala na ngayong vague na boto kasi nga yung minarkahan ang binibilang.
Kaya mahalaga na meron kayong hawak na Election Code. Kung hindi ay paiikutan kayo ng mga abugado ng kalaban ninyo.
Surefire bases to demand a manual count:
If you see a zero on a candidate, and you voted for him, then that means that there was a glitch (incidental or intended). Go to the RTC, and ask for a manual count. Your affidavit stating that you voted for xyz candidate will be the factual basis for the petition.
It does not have to be a zero. If your family (comprised of say, five individuals) all voted for abc candidate, and you see a count of four, then there will be factual basis for a manual count.
Kung ang klase niyo (say in the province) all voted for candidate 1-2-3, at trenta y dos ang mga kaklase, at 31 lang ang boto, puwede ring mag-demand ng manual count.
In summary then, know the numbers in your party, in the precinct. That will form the basis for any demand or a manual recount. That must be done on the same day (bukas naman ang courts hanggang gabi), before the paper ballots are physically transported; lending them susceptible to the old switcheroo.
