Starting today up to Nov. 27, 2009, the daily activities of Sen. Noynoy Aquino, Liberal Party presidential candidate, can be seen in capsule, in a video blog in his website:www.noynoy.ph.
Speaking from his residence in Times street via video satellite with reporters assembled at the office of Campaigns and Grey, an advertising and public relations firm, Aquino admits to being not so New Media- savvy but said “he is a student by nature.”
He said he recognizes the power of the internet as an important source of information but also sees the need for a balance between “rights and responsibility”.
Yoly Ong, the Aquino presidential campaign’s director for communications said the vblog, which its the first of its kind in the country’s political campaign, will offer an “unscripted and raw look” of Aquino to allow voters to know him better, his advocacies and his platform of governance.
where is the platform?
I don’t know if the internet can influence Philippine voters to the extent of providing candidtates with enough leverage to access voters. How many people in the Philippines possess computers or have access to internet?
Btw, what did he mean by “as an important source of information but also sees the need for a balance between “rights and responsibility”?
I echo EQ’s question: “Where is the platform?”
On The Importance Of A Campaign Platform:
“Lahat kami iyan lang ang sasabihin.Lahat ng kandidato sasabihin iyan.We will say the same things…we will have the SAME PLATFORM.
For after all, a platform… dadalawang speechwriters lang iyan tatanungin ka.Anong gusto ninyo, 3-point agenda , 10 point agenda 15 point agenda o 25 point agenda.” Manny Villar
How about zilching corruption? That is tops in any candidate’s platform.
What did Money Villar said????????
I think I hav premonitions that Noynoy will win.
He said he recognizes the power of the internet as an important source of information but also sees the need for a balance between “rights and responsibility”.
Please explain.
Internet rights and responsibility – subtle way of saying “Dapat may censorship sa internet”.
Kenny’s Antics
We are just concerned that it seems Ambassador Kenney has once again engaged in another ploy which, like it or not, will put her in a bad light. This is her use of a Noynoy t-shirt while distributing relief goods to a community in Marikina. There is, of course, nothing which prevents Kenny or any US embassy official from wearing such t-shirts. But for it to be openly displayed by a high profile person like Kenney while in the company of victims leaves a bad taste in the mouth. I mean she can do whatever she wants with the t-shirt but why the open display? Is she signaling an expected shift in the political game. If so, what is it? If not, why the public display? We would be happy to receive any explanation from Kenney and her staff on this matter if they so decide. Meantime, Ambassador Kenney should now be true to her word and stop promoting a low intensity secessionism and keep her favorites among the candidates to herself. -Jonathan dela Cruz, Crossroads http://www.tribune.net.ph/commentary/20091111com5.html

Tapos na pala ang boksing!
chi,
The internet has no rules so it is up to individuals to strike a balance between rights and responsibility.
It is not a call for censorship, as Tongue would have us believe.
Ahh…salamat, tongue.
Manuel is right. My take on the message is definitely not censorship. It speaks of the potency of the internet as a medium to reach out but at the same time is cautious of its enormous responsibility to its subscribers. Fair enough.
To The Campaign Director of Noynoy:
Instead of being a moral compass, he runs the risk of becoming a tradpol by making political compromises.
1)jamby as LP senatorial candidate
2)joey lina for Laguna gov.
3)edu manzano for LP senatorial slate?
EQ
Can’t wait to see Noynoy “unscripted and raw look”.
TE, edu manzano in LP’s list? It hurts to laugh.
Chi, this will hurt you more. A bit O.T. pero politika pa rin.
What if it’s an Pres. Erap and VP Gloria all over again (TAKE 2)? Can’t stop laughing after reading these 2 columns. Far fetched? Of course, but worth reading to tickle your funny bones. Hehehe 😛 😀

Issues? Really? Very well – where’s Noynoy’s platform.
Does he need to take a seminar from Nick Perlas? oops… 😀
Masaya yan! But like you, I opined it’s far fetched. Kakain ng alikabok si unana dyan with her almost nada approval rating. The bitch has already planned her political future with her ngiting aso gimmicks.
I think there are 12 series of one minute exposure each time. The platform part may be coming in the last episode.
Talaga, Kenney was wearing an Aquino shirt?
If I heard it right from the “Strictly Politics”, Yoly Ong said that about 18% of voters are internet users.
And I think Ambassador Kenney was wearing a C2 Collezione My Pilipinas series shirt. Not exactly an “aquino” shirt.
