Former President Corazon C. Aquino passed away 3: 18 a.m Aug. 1, 2009.
Goodbye, President Cory.
I’m comforted by the thought that democracy and the Filipino people have another ally Up There.

Goodbye, Tita Cory…and thank you.
May her children and loved ones she left behind be at peace with their loss.
We all know that you are at peace with the Lord now. May your spirit remains in us and guide us as we continue our struggle in this life…at ang amin mga pakikipaglaban sa katotohanan at kalayaan mula sa mapang-api na pamamahala. No more pain, no more tears…for you are now with the Lord.
Paalam Tita Cory…
The whole Filipino nation joins the Aquino family in fond memories of Tita Cory in this most difficult times. May she rest in eternal peace alongside with Ninoy. God bless you both.
My condolences to her.
GMA immediately sent her message of condolence. She sounded like that time when she delivered her “I am sorry” speech.
Their relationship was strained during the Hyatt 10 incident. Cory was in Malacanang to ask GMA to resign. GMA shouted at Cory. From that time on, they were no longer friends.
It’s so sad Cory left without seeing the dawn of a new day, the day when democracy and rule of law will be again restored (hopefully) from the clutches of this evil government.
May she rest in peace.
Just saw the news on CNN and BBC. I hope the Unano will not take advantage of Cory Aquino’s death again to try to deceive the world that the Philippines under her is a democracy even when not everyone has the opportunity to be free from want, equal opportunity, etc. that majority of Filipinos in fact do not know they have a right to demand from their government.
May Cory Aquino rest in peace!
Dodong: GMA immediately sent her message of condolence.
My condolences to a heroine for Filipino democracy.
Goodbye President Cory…
May you rest in peace Cory. Watch over the country you love!
Sa mga HUDAS ng lipunang Filipino….SMILE!!!
Nabawasan kayo ng isang kalaban….Ngiti naman gloria, o {maski patago lang}
Eternal repose be granted unto you Tita Cory.Let perpetual light shine upon you. May you rest in peace. Amen.
Paalam mahal na Pangulong Cory. May you rest in peace.
Humayo ka na sa ‘yong paglalakbay
Sa mapayapang kabilang buhay
Walang sigalot, walang lumbay, walang hapis
Sige na, may you rest in peace.
Eternal rest grant unto her Oh Lord and let perpetual light shine unto her. May she rest in peace. Thank you for giving us Pres. Cory Aquino.
My deepest sympathy to the family and praying for her eternal repose.
By the way, it was reported by ABS-CBN reporter Ging Reyes that she attempted to get hold of the evil bitch for her message on the death of Pres. Aquino but was informed that she already left for New York. However, when she went to the 5-star Willard Hotel where the presidential party was staying, she met Sec of State Hillary Clinton who just had a talk with the evil bitch.
I am crying alone now in my room, said a prayer, lighted a candle, wept profusely) I will stay home today to watch all news about her) I am proud of being a Filipino esp when I travel abroad because minsan isang panahon may isang cory aquino na nagtaguyod na kaya pala ng mga pilipino na magkaroon ng rebolusyon. ang buong mundo ay sumaludo sa atin ng tayo ay nasa rurok ng tagumpay noong 1986. Salamat Madame President
Kahit ako ay nasa kabilang kampo nung 1986, we learned to love you. Salamat.
My condolence and deepest sympathy to the family and to the democracy loving Filipinos. May the soul of PRESIDENT Cory touches the hearts of the deceits and pretentious not only in the government but from all sectors of our society.
Be true to your skin. Stop pretending clean and one of us when you’re NOT!
Stop using other people and live and exist by your own IDENTITY!
Nakakahiya kayo!
My deepest sympathy to the family and praying for her eternal repose.
By the way, Ging Reyes who is covering Washington D.C. for ABS reported that she attempted to have the evil bitch give a message on the death of Pres. Aquino but was told that she already left for New York. However, when she went to the 5 star Willard Hotel where the presidential party was billeted, she met Sec of State Hillary Clinton who told her that she just had a talk with the evil bitch in her hotel room. What a bunch of liars!
It is 12:08. How come news of Cory Aquino’s death is in many of USA and European news sites but not on Malaya nor on Manila Times?
paalam our beloved president, and we thank you for all your sacrifices for our country…truly a great leader and an inspiration to all filipino women.
thank you!
Rest In Peace, President Cory Aquino.
paalam Mrs. President, paalam
Goodbye Tita Cory!
Although we know that Pres. Cory’s days were numbered
as she was very sick, it is still very sad when
that time came. May you rest in peace Tita Cory.
Cory gone. The country’s Pure of Heart Leader is gone.
Her passing away hopefully will once again stoke the fervor and courage to defend the now embattled democracy she fought so hard for at EDSA.
Such a stark contrast in character between the two women presidents. Complete, complete contrast.
One was reluctant to be President. The other plotted to be President.
One ruled with sincerity, honesty and integrity. The other ruled with not a shred of it.
One wanted to hand over power after her term . The other continues to plot to remain in power.
Cory Aquino is making headline worldwide.
I wonder.
Rose:
I don’t remember ex-presidents being laid in state for public viewing at Malacanang. When the Philippine Congress was in Lawton, the public viewing usually was held there, then the presidents were laid to rest at the La Loma Cemetery.
Cory Aquino will be interred, I guess, where her husband is buried.
Bing Pimentel, wife of Senator Pimentel, made a musical for Cory as her tribute to their good friend.
I understand it will be shown this August. It is a must see for those who love Mrs. Aquino.
Did she really have her face “retoke”? She looks different (with an ugh..) . Since that Asian Hospital thing.
The Impure One does not deserve to be in the presence of the departed Pure One.
UPDATE) Noynoy: No state funeral for Cory

US PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA’S OFFICE
“Her courage, determination, and moral leadership are an inspiration to us all and exemplify the best in the Filipino nation. On behalf of the American people, the president extends his deepest condolences to the Aquino family and the nation of the Philippines.”

Mike, Malaya has no issue weekends.
This blog has been inaccessible for several hours today. I apologize to those who had a stressful time trying to access it. We were in the same boat.
I’m glad that it’s back.
Gloria Arroyo’s message:
Today, the Philippines lost a national treasure. Cory Aquino helped lead a revolution that restored democracy and the rule of law to our nation at a time of great peril.
Our nation will mourn her passing.
History was thrust upon her when her noble husband was cut down in the prime of his life as he fought for democracy and the rule of law. She picked up the standard from the fallen warrior, Ninoy, and helped lead our nation to a brighter day.
I am announcing today that we will officially observe a ten day period of national mourning.
Our hearts go out to the family in this hour of grief and sorrow. The nation prays for Cory and her family.
Message of Senate President Juan Ponce-Enrile:
“On behalf of the Philippine Senate and the members of my family, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy and condolences to the bereaved children of former President Corazon Aquino, especially to my colleague, Sen. Benigno Noynoy’ Aquino III.
“The demise of President Aquino is not only a loss to her loved ones, but is also an immense loss to the entire nation as well.
“President Aquino’s contribution to the well-being of the country cannot be measured by mere words, structures and monuments for she has done much, much more. She played the key role in this nation’s struggle for freedom, and she has done noble service in the restoration of democracy in our society.
“Although, by a twist of fate, we have had differences and disagreements in politics, I have always held President Aquino in high regard and great respect as a worthy leader of our people.
“As a Filipino, and as a former member of her cabinet, I believe the nation owes her much, having sacrificed her life in the service of our people. She thus truly deserves the prayers, respect, admiration and appreciation of the Filipino people.
“My family and I will continue to pray that the Dear Lord Almighty will take her in His divine embrace and give her eternal repose. We shall likewise pray for comfort and peace for her bereaved children and their families during these most trying moments of their lives.”
We lost a national treasure in Cory Aquino, but we are stuck with a national shame in Gloria Arroyo.
Message of the United Opposition (UNO), NCR Chair Joseph Victor Ejercito, San Juan mayor.
Tita Ellen,Tita Yuko,
Now that wala na si Lola Cory dapat paigtingin natin ang paglaban sa rehimen ni Rabbit,Yes it is true na mandaraya si Rabbit hindi lang siya mandaraya kung di isang traydor na amgirl.
We may had been at the opposing side during the Edsa 1 but my heart and soul was with her. You left us a legacy of purity and nobility that will forever be enshrined in our memory. Paalam Tita Cory.
Kgg. Pangulong Corazon C. Aquino!
Anong panglaway nitong puso,
Yaong baunin,
Ang aming samu’t dalangin.
Ang basbas ng Kapayapaan,
Ang iyong gabay sa pag-akyat sa Langit.
At sa pagdatal mo doon sa paraiso,
Wag mo kaming kalilimutan.

Inggit si Panduck who just met with the global pres Barak yet was ignored by the civilized world and did not even merit a search. Truly, Gloria is irrelevant even with Barak….
Two thumbs up for you, Balweg! Galing!!! 🙂
Adiós a la Primera Dama Presidenta de Filipinas. Descanse en paz. De su admirador en Newton, Massachusetts.
In exchange for Cory’s support to keep the US bases in the Philippines, the US protected her from all the coups. But the ones who were most grateful were the local officials who were placed by her as OICs. After declaring a Revolutionary Government, she removed all duly elected local officials and appointed her own some of whom like Makati Mayor Binay are still active these days.
To me, it’s plain destiny. Cory never dreamed or expected to become President. But she was…for that, we salute her and condole with her family right now.
Paalam….. Tita Cory
Thank you and rest in peace former president cory..
Paalam at salamat, Tita Cory, for everything you’ve done for our country…rest well and have a tranquil trip back to the Father…
Good Bye, President Cory Aquino. We know that you Rest in Peace now.
CORY FUNERAL UPDATE:
(he!he!he!, napatawa mo ako dun a.)
naknamfating na kalbo ‘to!
p’re, galing ng tayming mo!
ikasa mo, man!
welkam.

We salute you President Cory Aquino.
From your Capampangan kababayan and to all of us who were sucessful here in Monaco.
From nurses, and rich and poor Pinoys in Fontvieille,Monaco.
Kaluguran dakayu pu.
What a great and honorific lady,President Aquino to what I’ve learned was a very fearless woman.
She was so very simple, but tshe really came from a very wealthy family, and she even went to school in America, and Princess Grace of Monaco was even her classmates. She was a woman with dignity, courageous, honest and to define her you’ll have to write and mention all the good stuff in life
and they are many.
What a great loss for the whole nation of the Philippines.
She does not even wears big diamonds or stupendous big jewelries although she can buy all of it..truly CLASS.
So to all Pinoys..my wife Carol is also a Pinay with class
she plays the piano graciously and she loathed the marcosses. And now I understood the reasons why.
From all foreigners living in Europe,we salute you President Aquino,by the way I saw you in Washington in 1986.
Monte Carlo,Monaco.
