Protektor ito ng mamamayan at ng estado.
Hindi nito obligasyon ang sang-ayunan ang katiwalian ng administrasyon.
Hindi trabaho ng AFP ang mandaya sa eleksyon.
Hindi dapat binibigyan ng premyo ang mga heneral na mahilig magbenta ng serbisyo sa mga politico.
At lalong hindi gawain ng sundalo ang pumatay sa mga aktibista, mga mamamahayag at mga taong walang kasalanan at walang kalaban laban.
Nuong isang linggo, nag issue ako ng statement at sinabi ko duon, “I, therefore, call on every officer and enlisted man to follow your conscience and do what is right – PROTECT THE PEOPLE AND THE STATE!”
Nakikita natin ngayon na habang tumatagal, mas lumalakas ang loob ng administrasyong ito.
Hindi na sila nahihiya.
Hindi na sila nagaalala na lumalabag sila ng batas.
Hindi na rin sila nahuhuli. Hinuhuli na lang ang mga may prinsipyo.
Nang nag-issue ako ng statement nuong isang linggo, nagalit sila. Humahamon ba daw ako ng coup d’etat? Nananawagan ba ako ng barilan?
Mga kababayan, isa lang ang hamon ko sa mga kapatid ko sa Hukbong Sandatahan:
Sundan ang Saligang Batas.
Igalang natin ang Constitution.
Lakasan nila ang loob nila.
Kasama sa paggalang sa Saligang Batas ang paggalang sa mga provisions nito ukol sa term extensions.
You know that at this time,

Constitutional amendments are wrong.
You know what is Right.
You know what is Just.
I trust that you can see the Truth should the times call for protecting the people.

Posible ito, KUNG may kahihiyan ang mga namumuno sa hukbo. KUNG pinaiiral nila ang tawag ng prinsipyo at hindi ang pagkagahaman sa salapi at pag-asam ng wala ring hanggang pamamalagi sa puwesto kasunod ng kanilang pagreretiro sa pagtanggap ng sibilyang kapasidad sa gabinete bilang pabuya sa kanilang pikit matang pagsunod sa hindi makatarungang kapritso ng suwapang na si gloria.

Agree with you AdeBrux, “be careful with what you wish for…”. I forgot who said it in a recent interview who said that if the military would stage a coup, it is hope that after wresting control from Gloria, they will voluntarily relinquish it (power) to the next elected civilian authority. And he also said that, “what if they do not give it (power) back to the poeple?”

These con-assers really don’t get the point. It is not because majority of the Filipino people don’t like cha-cha per se, what they don’t like is Gloria. They don’t trust her and her lackeys in congress amending the constitution for them. If ever the constitution will be changed, it should be through constitutional convention. Di mo tuloy alam kung mga bobo sila o nag-tatangahan lang.
If I had my way, I would have a mural of all the con-assers faces painted on a large wall. And beside the wall, I will set-up a booth and I will be giving away rotten eggs & tomatoes, old shoes and any garbage that can be thrown at the faces of those con-assers faces in the mural. And on top of the booth, I will put a sign that reads. “ILABAS NINYO ANG GALIT NIYO! BATUHIN NIYO NG BASURA ANG MGA ……………..”

Tama ka, kaibigang Duggong, it was really an overkill, plain and simple. And besides, it was a case the police can handle and not the military. Apparently, since gloria and her goons are so jumpy inspite of their pronouncements that everything is under control, they had to call the military to put into submission 4 un-armed men. Sadly, the military seemingly didn’t know the fine art of negotiation. Good thing there was no firefight. I’d hate to see these soldiers firing away oblivious of the rules of engagement.

OTTAWA – Embattled Natural Resources Minister Lisa Raitt apologized today for privately calling the medical isotope shortage a “sexy” story and a chance to shine in the political limelight.
“I wish to personally communicate my deep regret for the wording I used in a private discussion earlier this year,” said Raitt said in a hastily-scheduled news conference today.
Visibly moved, a tearful Raitt explained she has been personally affected by cancer. She has lost a grandmother, grandfather, father and brother to the disease.
She explained she never intended “to show any disrespect” to cancer sufferers and their families.

(Medical Isotope is used for aid in clinical diagnostic for Cancer and Heart illness and Canada supplies close to half of the World’s supply. The shortage was due to temporary closing of the Nuclear Plant producing the Isotope due to safety issues).
The same Aide to the Minister who inadvertently left some sensitive documents in a Restaurant, and was fired, also forgot the Recorder which also “inadvertently recorded” her private conversation with her boss and asked a Halifax Daily Reporter to keep it for her, but don’t bother to take it back, not knowing that there were these recordings… and it was published as the court dismissed the injunctions sought by the Aide.
A very Minor mis steps for a High Government Official as compared to the ones committed by the Con-ASSES and the GMA Ministers and Gloria Arroyo Herself, yet humble enough to sincerely (I hope) to apologize before the House of Commons and to the Public…the same Minister tendered her Resignation but was not accepted by the PM.
But I Agree with the Public Sentiment that she should be Fired and let a Competent MP run the Ministry…the Isotope Shortage is a Very important issue and should be Fixed Permanently as the World’s Medical Community depends on it for its supply…and Apologies and Tears would not be able to Fix these issues…a very competent Aide had already been sacrificed..and all her faults just so caught up taking all the cudgels for her Boss that she so stessed up and keep forgetting things…
I sincerely hope that the message of Gen Lim be heard once and for all.

You are throwing caution to the wind! Are you actually exhorting and are prepared to deal with a Martir and the lkes of Martir and his friends or the gang of PMA Class 78 in committing coup just to remove the midget?

Let’s say for the sake of argument that you are exhorting the incarcerated officers to do it on your behalf, i.e., launch a copu d’état… (I said “on your behalf” because like it or not, I don’t believe you will be in Pinas at the first shot of gunfire or when it happens!), are you sure that the incarcerated officers will and can do it?
Are there enough members of the military who are sympathetic to the cause of these incarcerated officers today to commit the coup d’état and eventually fight agaisnt the forces loyal to Gloria?
With regard to your businessman friend who says he supports a civil war: He is out of his mind! Does he realise at all what he is saying? Just to remove midget? He is grossly and maniacally irresponsible! Civil war? What a dastardly thought!
It is amazing how easily some people could dispose of the lives of those na walang kalaban laban (there will be horrendous collateral damage and casualties among innocent children, the old, the invalid, the sick, etc. if a civil war erupts) as if they themselves have the courage of a thousand Davids… and for all you know, when it comes to the cruch, your friend will be the first to jump ship, fly away, escape to a distant land because he will be so struck by fright/fearful of the sound of roarign and blasting guns and bombs!

Let us give the citizens of the Republic a chance to solve the problem… A coup d’état will happen when all else fails but mark my word, when it happens, a coup d’état can and will be a double edge sword. And how sure are we that if a coup d’état is committed by these new found heroes (who happen to be incarcerated today), they will not be fascistic when Gloria is finally ousted, will not commit human rights abuse, will not abuse their authority, or will return power to the people, etc.?
Remember, the military by the very nature of their training, their vocation, their ideology, is a martial — virtually non-democratic — institution among and unto themselves.
The military cannot operate in a vaccum –no matter their good intentions, member of the military, no matter how noble some of them can be, many of them who hold the power and the authority during a social crisis, eg., national strife, could be the worst bandits and scumbags, a total nightmare for the civilians.
A civil-military strife can bring out the good in people but it can also bring out the worst and the ugliest and often, even in the most well-intentioned men. Proof, Iraq!

That’s why I said, “To see is to believe.” I am just echoing the sentiments of most of my friends in the Philippines and Japan, who are fed up of the system and Gloria Dorobo.

Arlene was a captain when she resigned her commission after she came from her masteral studies in Australia.
It only shows there are a few who still consider their oath to the flag a sacred calling.
