10. Gloria Macapagal Arroyo will be shot and killed by a Palestinian terrorist when she visits Israel.

According to my sister, these are the things that will happen in 2009:
1. A gigantic tsunami will occur which will be bigger than the previous tsunamis, possibly, the biggest in the recorded history. But she could not tell what country or countries it will hit.
2. The US will pull out a substantial number of troops in Iraq this coming June 2009. After the pullout, sometimes this year, approximately half of those remaining troops in Iraq will die.
3. Because of the death of troops, as mentioned above, there will a protest rally against Obama presidency from the 50 states of US and they will converge at Washington DC. One of the security guards at the White House is in connivance with the Taliban. He will blow up the walls of the White House.
By the way, it is only my little sister. So, don’t take it seriously.

“New Year’s resolutions can sometimes focus on our problems or insecurities such as being overweight, feeling unhappy in our jobs or feeling guilty about not devoting enough time to friends and family throughout the year,” said Mind chief executive Paul Farmer.
“We chastise ourselves for our perceived shortcomings and set unrealistic goals to change our behavior, so it’s not surprising that when we fail to keep resolutions, we end up feeling worse than when we started.
“In 2009, instead of making a New Year’s resolution, think positively about the year to come and what you can achieve.”
Mind suggested resolution-makers focus instead on being active, connecting with nature, learning something new and working for one’s community.

Manny Pacquiao’s wife Jinkee recently gave birth to a baby girl in Los Angeles, California. While I congratulate them for adding another one to their life, I got a couple of questions. First, why did Jinkee have to give birth in the US? So that they would automatically have a US citizen baby?
I understand that airline doesn’t allow a woman in her late pregnancy stage to travel. Second, why gave the name “Queen Elizabeth” for the baby? Are they hoping to get the Queen of England as the baby’s godmother when she gets baptized? Since the Pacquiao couple are very close to the Evil Bitch, they should have chosen the name “Queen Gloria”.

At this moment, I’m thinking of my friend who just passed away due to colon cancer. Two of my classmates also died in their sleep a few years back. Another friend is at present suffering from prostrate cancer. They were not ordinary friends; but were all close to me. Life is indeed so fragile.
We should value friendship while we’re still alive. True friends don’t come very often.

Whistle-blowers are the ones being punished for their deed but those whom they expose get better treatment. A very good example is Boy Mayor who named all the names he knew. He was slapped several libel suits for that. One of those names was that of Rene Maglanque, according to Mayor, Mikey’s jueteng bagman when the latter was still Pampanga Vice-Gov. Maglanque even became Pampanga Board Member and also Undersecretary of DOTC (I presume Maglanque’s construction company cornered several DOTC contracts, siyempre, diba?) His congressional bid in 2007 was a failure though because he and my friend ex-PNP General Ramsey Ocampo split the votes of Candaba. That allowed Anna York Bondoc to run away with the prized plum even as she controlled only the smaller town of Macabebe.
Why my sudden interest in Maglanque? Because this guy was one of those in the group that beat to a pulp the dela Paz father and son in Valley Golf.
Would the dela Paz case prosper? I don’t think so. Nasser Jr. and Maglanque both have Mikey the horse to back them up. Anak ng jueteng talaga, oo!

MANILA, Philippines—Malacañang officials were cheering a Bloomberg report Saturday that supposedly cited the Philippines and China as the most resilient in Asia in 2008 and which “would do well in 2009.”
“It’s encouraging to note that we have been cited in Bloomberg today as one of the two resilient economies in Asia, along with China. Amidst global financial downturn, we continue to post a strong currency and fiscal position,” Press Secretary Jesus Dureza said Saturday in a statement.
But a check with Bloomberg News yesterday yielded no such story on the Philippines—in any news or feature item—as a “resilient” economy along with China.
In fact, almost all references to the country over the past two days over Bloomberg were made in a negative light, especially concerning the Philippines’ weakening fiscal position.
