Ang Easter Sunday o Domingo ng Pagkabuhay ay mararating lamang kapag natapos na ang Biyernes Santo at Sabado de Gloria. ‘Yan ang magandang mensahe ng Easter Sunday: walang resurrection o pagkabuhay kung walang kamatayan.
Maganda itong mensahe ng Easter sa ating krisis pulitika sa bansa. Marami kasi ang nagtatanong kung bakit sa dami ng kasalanan ni Gloria Arroyo- pang-aagaw ng pwesto ng president noong 2001, pandaraya sa eleksyon noong 2004, garapalang pangungurakot hindi lamang siya pati na ang kanyang mga alagad, pambabastos ng Constitution, panunupil ng malayang pamamahayag at marami pa – nandiyan pa siya sa Malacañang samantalang karamihan sa mga Pilipino ay ayaw sa kanya.
Marami nga ang nagsasabi, ano ba ang kasalanan ng sambayanang Pilipino at pinaparusahan tayo magkaroon ng pangulo na katulad ni Arroyo? At ang masakit pa ditto, ang mga institusyon o mga tao na inaasahang tumulong o magbigay ng giya sa ganitong krisis, ay kasama ni Arroyo.
Marami kasi sa atin iniisip ang bilis ng pagpatalsik kay Pangulong Estrada noong 2001. Ilang buwan lang tanggal si Estrada. Si Arroyo na kasa-kasama ni Estrada hanggang sa tagilid na ang nahalal na pangulo. Walang hirap na ipinunla si Arroyo.. Basta lang siya umani ng tagumpay at naging presidente.
Kaya siguro leksyon yan para sa mga gusto ng pagbabago. Kung walang sakripisyo, walang Biyernes Santo, walang katotohanang pagbabago.
Marami sa atin ang naala-ala lamang sa Edsa One ay ang pagtipon-tipon ng libo-libong Pilipino sa Edsa at ang pagpatalsik kay Pangulong Marcos. Nakalimutan natin na sobra 20 taon na nagpenitensya ang bayan sa ilalim ng diktaturya ni Marcos. Marami ang namatay. Maraming buhay ang nasira.
Ang pagkamatay ni Ninoy Aquino noong 1983 ay dagdag tulak at nagpaliyab ng nagbabagang ngitngit ng taumbayan. Bago doon marami nang pagkikilos ang nangyari na siyang nagpahina kay Marcos hanggang natumba na nga noong 1986.
Maraming sektor, na dati ay walang paki o kampi kay Arroyo, ang nagising at kumikilos na laban sa administrasyon. Maganda yun. Ngunit dapat kilalanin nila ang pagkilos na ginawa ng mga grupong matagal nang lumalaban sa kasinungalingan at panloloko ni Arroyo. Hindi nakarating sa ganitong tagilid na sitwasyon si Arroyo kung wala ang mga yun.
Ngunit kulang pa. Sabi nga ni Jun Lozada, “Kailangan pakuluin pa.”
Nasa Biyernes Santo pa rin ang bayan. Ngunit darating ang tunay na Easter Sunday.

Nagkakasala tuloy ang maraming mga pilipino na imbes na manahimik na at maka-concentrate ngayon sa mga bagay na spiritual, naglalagablab pa ang mga damdamin dahil sa mga kawalanghiyaang ginagawa ng salbaheng ito. Ang lakas pa ng loob na magsabing hindi siya babab.
Bakit hindi iyan pinagsasabihan ng mga pare na mas mabigat ang kasalanan ng mga manunukso o mga taong siyang dahilan kung bakit natutulak na magkasala ang iba?
Dapat talagang ipanalangin na sa Poong Maykapal na tapusin na ang pamahalaang ito kahit na sa anumang paraan. Siguro naman kung mawala na ang mga kurakot ay manahimik na ang bansa.

Dapat pinapaalalahan si Gloria Dorobo ng mga pari na dapat nagbabasa ng Scriptures para alam nila ang ipapayo sa kaniya na she should “Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits. Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. (Romans 12:16-17)
Pero hindi tayo dapat mabagabag kasi ang mga ganyang katayog ang akyat, siya namang bilis at sakit ng bagsak. “Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall. (Prov. 16: 18) “For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.”(Malachi 4:1) “12 And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.” (Matt. 23:12)
I find comfort on these passages in the Scriptures, too: “If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good. (Romans 12:18-21) Mahirap gawin but worth trying especially if we gain a strong testimony and faith that the days of Gloria Dorobo are numbered and will soon be over.

I know a lot of you think I’m going to support my husband ,Jose Pidal , for the job. Frankly, I don’t believe nepotism has any place in Philippine politics. Jose Pidal has better things to do when we retire in 2010.For example, we plan to put up the Jose Pidal Foundation to send deserving students to China for internship in big Chinese companies like ZTE.
What I’d like to see is someone who shares my firm beliefs, my vision for our country free of Constitutional restraints, someone who is flexible, a person who understands there’s a time and place for the proper sound bites and forced smiles for photo ops.
I’d also like to see a woman again as president, a compassionate conservative like myself. Remember , Tita Cory and I have been better presidents than our male counterparts!

Just by commemorating this penitential quaresma makes people so sad, so downtrodden like rubbing more salt to an injury. Rebirth suggests a journey back to one’s origin and seeing the same old things in a totally fresh perspective. If there is anything to be sorry for, it is the painstaking realization of having spent a great deal of time, maybe even a lifetime, to rediscover that what one had searched for has been there all along- right where he started his journey. Rebirth offers hope for new beginnings, albeit, with all the baggages of the past.
Easter is resurrection.
From death to life- not a journey back to origin, but another journey altogether- no baggages from the past. No regrets, nothing to be sorry for. Nothing lost, nothing gained. Easter is a fresh sheet of blank paper where a fresh epic is waiting to be written.
Resurrection is what most souls long for. Life can only offer a rebirth.

The President stressed that she remains optimistic for her people despite a bleak tomorrow triggered by looming economic recession in the U.S. aggravated by soaring oil and increasing rice prices as well as the political turbulence hounding her regime triggered by unrelenting calls for her ouster.
“Easters dawn after Black Saturday, inspires our quest to reform Philippine society and achieve the quality of life we wish for ourselves and our children. Every small sacrifice made, every act affirming our faith in God, our countrymen and ourselves, every hope to reach a goal contributes to reformation that will strengthen the Filipino nation,” the President said.
Citing the travails of the apostles on Good Friday, the President said that “our people can easily feel that the burdens weighing down on us can be beyond our strength to bear.
“But, with determination and Divine Providence, were building a new Philippines,” the President said.

Mensahe ng easter… Nawa’y hindi dapat na matuon lamang sa mga kamalian ng administrasyon, datapuwa’t ang lahat ng mamamayan ng Pilipinas ay sangkot at may pananagutan – “sa pang-araw-araw na penitensyang dinaranas ng mga mamamayan ng Pilipinas, ito’y bunga lamang, sa kung anong uri ng lipunan na kanilang tinatamasa’t ipinamumuhay, kahapon at sa ngayon”! Sa pagsasalarawan, na si Gloria ay maaring maging Dimas, o kaya’y ikaw, ako, nila, sila, siya, kami o tayo, o kaya’y mas masahol pa kaysa kay Dimas (ang kalagayan ng bawat mamamayan ng bansang Pilipinas). Nawa’y hindi lamang sa pagpapatalsik kay Gloria, bagkus dapat nang wakasan ang kulturang-kataksilan! Nawa’y kung ikaw man ay isang kristiyano… isabuhay mo ang buong kaganapan ang misteryo ng paskal. Para sa “paghilom mula sa mga sugat ng nakaraan”… dapat nang lisanin ni Gloria ang Malacanang, at itatag ang transisyonal rebolusyonaryong gobyerno.
Patuloy na nasa Sabado NI gloria ang Bayan.
Bakit Sabado NI gloria? Hindi nga ba, sabi ng matatanda noong araw? Sa araw na yun, patay ang Diyos, at ang lahat ng pwersa ng kasamaan eh naglipana at handang lipulin ang sinumang pasasakop sa kasamaan? Kaya marahil nandoon at “nagamit” ang pangalan ni glue. Araw nga niya yun! Heh-heh!
Harinawang maITAMA NA ang isipan ng mga namumuno nang sa gayon, makita natin ag liwanag ng Bagong Pag-asa.

Ano nga ba ang kasalanan ng sambayanang Pilipino at pinaparusahan tayo magkaroon ng pangulo na katulad ni Arroyo?
Walang kasalanan ang mga tao, kundi ang ilang grupo na galit kay Erap sa pangunguna nina Cardinal Sin, si Cory, mga elite at evil society na inilagay nila ang batas sa kanilang mga kamay. Hindi nila matanggap na ang isang katulad ni Erap ang mamumuno sa bansa at hindi nila binigyan ng halaga na si Erap ay ibinoto ng nakakaraming Pilipino. Winalang halaga rin nila ang kasabihang ang tinig ng nakakarami ay tinig ng Diyos, kaya siguro nagalit ang Diyos at pinarurusahan Niya tayo at yong kasalanan ng iilan, ang lahat ng Pilipino ay nagdurusa sa mga kamay ng iniluklok nilang si gloria at ang kaniyang mga alagad.
Ang mensahe ng Easter para sa akin, Bilang pagsisisi sa kasalanan yong mga taong responsable sa pagluklok kay gloria, ay sila rin dapat ang responsable na magpababa sa kaniya. Parehas lang yon para maitama ang mali.

Tama ka. Patuloy ang Biyernes Santo hangga’t hindi namamatay ang kasamaan! Kailangan ang pagsisisi ng mga may kasalanan at pagbaba sa puwesto (na inagaw lang naman) at saka tayo magkakaroon ng Sabado de Gloria na mauuwi sa muling Pagkabuhay ng ating mahal na bansa!

Sabi nga ni Jesus Christ, “…I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.” (Matthew 18:22) nang tanungin siya ni Peter tungkol sa kung ilang beses dapat magpatawad ang tao.
But forgiveness is predicated by repentance. In the case of Gloria Dorobo, she has committed crimes against the Filipino race, and should be sent to prison for the rest of her life.
It is just too bad that there is no more death penalty that merits one who has proved to be beyond reformation that prisons are supposed to be doing as a matter of fact.
Nakapagnilay-nilay po ba kayo ngayong Holy Week? Nakapagsisi po ba kayo sa inyong mga kasalanan? Sana po’y oo.
