Take note of this news item from the Philippine News Agency, the government’s news agency. Gonzalez is talking about a Jan. 22 plot.

On Jan. 22, 2001, Gloria Arroyo was installed into the presidency without election by a military-backed group of civil society members.

Take this news item in consideration with the other reports that have been coming out in the past few days: the ‘floats’ of Teodoro, Esperon, and Razon on a new destabilization plot involving Magdalo officers, revival of national ID, charter change,the report about plan to assassinate Erap, the tension in Tanay last Friday,Gonzalez’ warning to media….

Let’s be alert.

Deparment of Justice (DOJ) secretary Raul Gonzalez warned the alleged brains behind the attempt to topple goverment this Jan. 22 not to belittle the Arroyo government’s staying power.

Di ba dapat, kapag ang isang tao ay nanggaling sa isang bingit sa kamatayan na karanasan, parang nagbabagong buhay.

Kung dati ay mapang-api, nagiging mabait at matulungin sa kapwa tao. Kung mahilig manloko, hindi na ginagawa yun. Hindi na pagpayaman ang inaasikaso dahil alam niya na kahit anong oras maari kang mawala sa mundo kaya ang ginagawa mo ay ang mga bagay na nakakabuti sa kapwa tao at ayun mga turo ng Panginoon.

Ngunit, bakit ba hindi ito ang nangyari kay Justice Secretary Raul Gonzalez . Kung ano siya noon, parang ganun pa rin ngayon.

To: All chief executives (CEOs) of media networks, media companies and press groups and entities:

Please be reminded that your respective companies, networks or organizations may incur criminal liabilities under the law, if anyone of your field reporters, news gatherers, photographers, cameramen and other media practitioners will disobey lawful orders from duly authorized government officers and personnel during emergencies which may lead to collateral damage to properties and civilian casualties in case of authorized police or military operation.

Estrada should take precautions

It may not be true but there’s no harm for former President Joseph Estrada to tighten his security when going to around especially in his visits to depressed areas.

We got from several sources that a group is planning to do a “Benazir Bhutto” on him.

As we all know, former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto was assassinated while addressing a rally in the city of Rawalpindi last Dec. 27. Bhutto was challenging the beleaguered leadership of President Pervez Musharraf.

Statement of Atty Trixie Angeles, lawyer of Capt. Nick Faeldon:

Today marks the 44th day of the disappearance of Capt. Nicanor Faeldon. By the end of this day, he will have been missing for a longer period than the time when he left detention on 14 December 2005 and was returned to detention on 27 January 2006.

His family, friends and associates hope and pray that he is alive and well. Nevertheless, present or not, he has served and continues to serve as an inspiration to all to continue the fight for a credible government. The organization that he founded, Pilipino.org is doing well, it celebrated its second anniversary and membership continues to grow. Its success is due in no small part to the universality of Capt. Faeldon’s vision for a just Philippines.

Sabi ni AFP Chief Hermogenes Esperon ang galing-galing daw ng kanilang operasyon laban sa New People’s Army at sa Abu Sayaff kaya kukunti na lang raw ang mga yun.

Ang mga NPA, pagdating daw ng 2010, hindi na pansin ang mga yun.

Caught unprepared with their pants down by the Nov. 29 walkout by Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV and Brig. Gen. Danilo Lim from the coup d’etat hearing at the Makati court, Gloria Arroyo’s security officials are falling over each other floating the possibility of another coup try.

First it was Defense Secretary Gilbert Teodoro, tipping reporters of what was shared to him by the military’s intelligence agents. “I believe it’s an assessment of our intelligence services.There’s a possibility that there may be destabilization by various threat groups.”

Armed Forces Chief Hermogenes Esperon Jr. added to it saying, “Some people, especially those with delusions of grandeur, will always plan things. They never give up.”

The Armed Forces yesterday batted for the national identification system which was shot down by the Supreme Court during the Ramos administration.

The military made the recommendation to President Arroyo during a command conference in Camp Aguinaldo. The President directed the defense department to study the military’s proposal.

Hindi magandang ideya ni Erap

Ano ba naman ito si Erap at iniimbitahan si Noli de Castro sumali sa oposisyon at maari raw siya ang magiging kandidato ng oposisyon sa pagkapresident sa 2010.

Sana panakot lang ni Estrada ito sa mga taga oposisyon na gustong kumandidato sa 2010 para sila ay magkasundo na isa lang ang kakandito.

Kung nagbibiro si Estrada, hindi magandang biro yun. At nakakasama sa kanya. Ibig sabihin noon siya mismo walang pagpahalaga sa katotohanan at hustisya. Paano mo naman tatanggapin ang isang taong kumapi kay Gloria kahit nabulgar na ang kanyang pandaraya noong 2004 na eleksyon ay panggigipit sa taumbayan.
