Pranksters yesterday hacked websites of at least three government agencies in an apparent protest against President Arroyo.
Redirected to the website of popular theme park Enchanted Kingdom were the websites of the Department of Justice (http://www.doj.gov.ph/), the Philippine National Police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (http://www.cidg.pnp.gov.ph) and Information Technology and Electronic Commerce Council (http://www.itecc.gov.ph/).
President Arroyo, in a speech at a conference of employers last May, called on employers and the public to join her in bringing the Philippines to the “Enchanted Kingdom.”
In that speech, Arroyo said: “Let’s stay together. Let’s dream together. And what do I mean by being in the Enchanted Kingdom, we can operationalize that? Let’s be among the countries of the First World in 20 years.”
Arroyo repeated this in a message marking the 2007 Christmas holidays.
The DOJ website was restored yesterday but the PNP-CIDG and ITECC sites remain pointed to the theme park website.
System administrators at the DOJ were monitoring the site and have not received any lead on the hacker.
Payola Queen Gloria Arroyo’s strong republic is helpless against cyber attacks. Anyways, the Department of Justice and the Philippine National Police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group are notorious in manufacturing evidence and source of false witnesses against dissenters of her corrupt and abusive regime.

There was a boy I know who was possessed of the devil after visiting the Enchanted Kingdom in the outskirts of Manila. He started acting queer and weird after going with some friends with an adult companion there. The boy was exorcised of the devil that possessed him. It was no joke.

I think the hackers made a colossal blunder. They should have hacked Gloria’s website instead! Or, they should have linked those govt webs, one after the other, to Enchanted Kingdom, complete with pop ups of Cinderella and the Seven Dwarfs.

the problem with PGMA is bloated self-appreciation. Her administration is indeed an enchanted kingdom. She loves talking about the robust economic gains to the sunken eyes and hollow cheeks of the poor, heralding herself as champion of human rights in a land soaked by the blood of human rights victims, and so on.

Visiting a friend, I read PNPA’s KALASAG and quite amused reading the official publication of the Cadet Corps, particularly its Code of Honor:

LIE, CHEAT, STEAL. Well, I cannot help by remember PGMA.
While the cadets tends to look at the application of the code of honor within the walls of the academy among themselves, they are aware of the corruption of the greedy crocodiles in police uniforms. This code of honor, as a core value of the academy, must be put into practice and imbibed it as their second nature as “new breed of warriors” who are the “last bastion of hope” of this country. They call the outside world as the battle field where this code of honor must shine.
Hope to see these new breed of warriors in our streets living out the code of honor of the academy.
The cadets were silent about the lying, cheating and stealing of PGMA administration. I do not know other issues of KALASAG taking up a critical stand against the corruption of the administration. If these cadets are silent now, could we expect their vocal voices outside the academy? I doubt.

Yup, even alumni of PNPA share your sentiment that the code of honor is applicable only in the four walls of the academy. While the publication did not criticized the GMA Administration for lying, cheating and stealing, the cadets are well aware that unless they lived out this code of honor while still in the academy, they are not worthy of wearing the police uniform.

By the way, Contingency, re: “The cadets were silent about the lying, cheating and stealing of PGMA administration.” in theory, cadets cannot be vocal about what they feel politically that is, even if they are opposed to Gloria, there’s not much they can do. In fairness to them, they are still cadets. Difficult to blame them — for as long as they accept govt “shilling,” they can’t really do or say anything against Gloria. The best they can do is to study hard, learn the honour code and be determined to make a difference when they become officers.

This is good. We need vision. We need a visionary president.
But the problem with Gloria is that she loves hovering in her make-believe heavens and refuses to touch down and taking roots in the Philippine soil of poverty. She is not in touch with reality. Worse, she refuses to wake up!

I’m quiet serious about the word you mentioned “petit-bourgeois”? I got the meaning of it from freedictionary, it says, “a member of the lower middle class”.
Remember, if there is no leftist in our country, do you think the rightist, silent majority and trapo will march in the street or to protest and shouts their grievances to GMA gov’t and the previous regimes.
Hanga ako sa kanila kasi they have guts and nationalistic stand against corrupt leaders in our country (i’m not symphatizing their ideology but rather in simple perspective feelings towards the present regime).
Noong panahon ni Marcos, i learned a lesson about how to fight in his regime. Influencial people in our society using us as a human shield against their enemy, bakit po kasi they have money and resources to finance any of their action. How about our poor kababayan, they guts but no money or resources kaya heto ginagamit lang tayo.
Yan ang natutuhan ko at that time when i was pursuing my higher education. Makatapos ng pag-aaral at magkaroon ng magandang trabaho, kung mayroon na akong pera eh pwede ko na silang sabayan. That’s the lessoned i learned from them.
Pera pera lang ang labanan sa ating bansa, most of (politicians)them are belong to elite society and they are the lords of their bailiwick.

He is married to a Filipina and he is president of Tribal Adventures (they arrange adventure tours). They own the Sandcastle Resort in Boracay.
