Hindi ako tumatalon sa tuwa sa pag-resign ni Abalos kasi pag-iwas yun sa kanyang kasalanan. Hindi naman siya umamin ng kasalanan kahit na buking na buking na siya.
Kung may ikinatuwa man ako, ang kanyang pagbibitiw ay nagpapakita ng mabigat na impact o dating ng televised na congressional investigation.
Galit si Abalos sa Senado dahil masyado raw siyang minaltrato. Akala raw niya magiging makatarungan ang mga senador.

Kung hindi dahil sa imbestigasyon ng Senado, ito ba ay lalabas? Kung mga kongresista lang na hawak ni Gloria Arroyo, mailalabas ba ang garapalan na kurakutan?
Hindi na raw matutuloy ang impeachment dahil wala na nga si Abalos. Ngunit alam naman natin na hindi lang naman si Abalos ang sangkot dito. Kahit ayaw sabinin ni Neri ang katotohanan, alam na ng nuong bayan na sangkot si Gloria Arroyo ang ang kayang asawang si Mike na siyang tumulak nitong ZTE na pagbabayaran ng mamamayang Pilipino ng P16 bilyon kahit na hindi kailangan.
Kahit papaano, kahit nagmamatigas ang mga makakapal sa Malacañang gamit ang limpak-limpak nilang kinurakot, may epekto naman ang pakikibaka laban sa katotohanan.

Resigning is much better than being impeached. If the impeachment complaint against Abalos materializes, maraming baho ang lalabas sa Kongreso. That’s the reason why Abalos decided to quit; not because of family or other shit. Maraming tao ang madadamay kung natuloy ang impeachment. Erap’s impeachment would not have gone through had he resigned. But he believed he was innocent and decided to go with the impeachment proceeding until that walk out that led to his ouster. Ang isa nag-resign na may kasalanan at ang isa naman ay na-impeach na walang kasalanan…if there was any offense committed at all, it was bribery not plunder.
There was nothing noble in Abalos’s resignation. It was survival for him and Arroyo. It’s part of their continuing operation to hide the truth from the public.

Over in Japan, when you go to the Diet and ask for a permission to meet a parliamentarian, papasukin ka after some checking of credentials. Strange reaction, that — coming from Gloria, when DILG chief Ronnie Puno informed her of the resignation of poll chairman Benjamin Abalos Sr.
She was said to have been surprised, but her remark, as quoted, was: “What time did he (Abalos) resign?”
That certainly neither expresses surprises, nor for that matter, normalcy. Why was the time frame seemingly so important to Gloria, for her to ask such question? Did it matter if Abalos resigned at say, 9 a.m. instead of, say, 12 noon?
If Gloria was truly surprised, the normal reaction would have been, at the very least, “why?” or at least she would express shock, if she was so surprised and didn’t expect Abalos’ resignation. Why should the time Abalos resigned be an important matter to her? Read on…www.tribune.net
