First Gentleman Jose Miguel “Mike” Arroyo flew in yesterday from Hong Kong to deny that he told Jose “Joey” de Venecia III to “back off” from the national broadband network project.
“Let me just clarify, I never said back off, that is not in my vocabulary,” he said.
The young De Venecia testified in a Senate investigation on the broadband project last week that the presidential spouse pointed a finger at him and said “back off” during a meeting at the Wack Wack Golf and Country Club in Mandaluyong.
De Venecia’s Amsterdam Holdings Inc. was one of three proponents of the project. The others were the US firm Arescom and the Chinese firm ZTE Corp.
Arroyo said he never pointed his finger at the son of Speaker Jose de Venecia.
“How can I point a finger at someone I don’t even know?”
He said the first time that he met the young De Venecia was at Wack Wack, which he described as a chance
He said since it was their first meeting, it would be unusual for him to say such pointed words. “Put yourself in my position, can you tell someone to back off right away?”
Arroyo said that all he did was to remind De Venecia that he might be liable under the anti-graft law because he is the son of the Speaker and is therefore prohibited from entering into government contracts.
He did not explain how he knew that De Venecia, if he had never met him before, was interested in the broadband deal.
Arroyo was welcomed by Manila International Airport Authority manager Alfonso Cusi and Angel Atutubo, assistant manager for security and emergency services.

We should have a demonstration, i.e., ask him to do a repeat of what JdV said complete with the index. If he says it in a lil voice, then maybe it’s not in his vocab but if says it in a natural voice, then I think it’s in his vocab.

Nagmamalinis pa ang Fatso e ang baboy naman ng bibig niyan. They should resume the Senate hearing now. Filipinos should demand for these Senators to work hard, no vacation, to be able to get a conviction or the court to start court proceedings to bring about a conviction. Iyong Fatso does not have an immunity being a civilian. His being married to the fake president does not give him the privilege to be exempted from prosecution and being arrested for suspicion that he has committed a very serious and grave crime.

Now, baka hindi naman talaga “back off” ang sinabi ni Fatso, kundi “tumigil ka” which is the equivalent of “back off” in English. May kasunod pa nga sigurong “P******inamo!” which is the favorite expression of the Pidals!
In short, whether he said that or not the truth is there that this Fatso was involved in this deal and that is a violation of the law—plunder, influence peddling, etc. that can be corroborated by people in the provinces who have received offers from him for this and that project.
Golly, why are the police there not being used to establish this fact! Kaya nga sabi ko sa inyo mali ang ginawang pinailalim ang police sa military. Bakit hindi gamitin ang NBI then that is under the Department of Justice.
BTW, Senators Pimentel, Lacson, et al should make it illegal that an unconfirmed appointee or appointees of the criminal at the palace by the murky river are being paid to man the Department of Justice. That should be declared illegal and unacceptable. Kung gusto talaga nilang magtagumpay na mapakulong ang mga animal.

I guess the reason why God is prolonging the sufferings of Filipinos is to test them further on whether or not they deserve to have a good set of leaders. It would serve well to remind him that we haven’t forgotten how he tried to pick up a fight with Jake Macasaet’s lawyer in one of the libel hearings. It would also be nice to tell him how we still remember his behavior during Cayetano’s expulsion case. The Pinoy’s memory maybe short, but not as short as the tail he dangles between his legs. While at it, it would also be nice to remind Leandro Mendoza how “mild-mannered” his “First Gentleman” is.

To the FG, please say your piece under oath before the Senate. Allow yourself to be cross-examined by the Senators. Joey De Venecia testified in the Senate under oath and is now under threat of perjury charges. JDV III was grilled by the Senate. Testify under oath so that you can be liable for perjury in case you are caught telling a lie.
