Letting steam out

While everybody’s blood pressure was shooting up over the Sandiganbayan decision finding Erap guilty of plunder while Gloria Arroyo, the biggest crook of them all, continues to be in Malacañang enjoying her stolen power, I went on a leisurely stroll at Greenbelt in Makati. I discovered something fascinating.

The first cubicle in the women’s restroom in Greenbelt 3 has a bidet. I have seen this gadget in hotels in Japan but this is the first time I saw one installed in a public toilet.

On the right wall next to the toilet bowl are several buttons. I pressed the button that says “Anal wide nozzle” and I felt l that part of my body being cleaned while I just sat and relaxed.

Then I pressed “Dryer” and I felt warm air. Then I pressed “Massage” That was cute.

It said in the brochure posted in the cubicle that the Made- in- Japan instrument is being distributed by “I Am Trading”.

Reactions to Estrada’s conviction by text or posted in my blog:

From Norma: “The ‘Yamashita’ court has spoken, special court created without the usual raffle system to find the legal president of the country guilty of the crime he did not commit.”

Anna in Brussels: “Sabi nga ng Nanay ko (who very rarely makes comments to me about the political situation in the Philippines), ‘Hayop yan!’ And my Mom is my exact opposite, hardly ever utters a bad word. For her to say that means she’s had enough too. To me, Estrada has been declared guilty and sentenced to life imprisonment by a Macapagal-Arroyo court and not by a duly constituted court of the Republic of the Philippines”

Chi in the US: “Sabi ng tatay ko, si Gloria daw ay buwitre na walang kinikilala basta siya lang ang gagana!

R.C. Constantino: As we all continue to be and should be. GMA will pay. The verdict was not unexpected. Only a guilty verdict can be expected from an illegitimate government.”

Pechanco: “The next thing to do is to move on to oust GMA.”

Josie: “Today is the beginning of GMA’s end.”

Ellen: may bayad ba ang CR?
..may nabasa ako noon na kaya walang masiadong na stress out na mga employees sa Japan because they have one room in the office na maraming punching bags and pictures of executives nila..pag may galit ka put the picture of the person you dislike at puntalin mo hanggang sa masera ang picture o yong punching bag..totoo ba ito Yuko?
..hindi ako mahilig sa bowling..pero when I play..I look at the kingpin as the person I so dislike..maniwala ka ang bowling score ko ay mas mataas pa sa golf score ko..mini golf..kung galit na galit ka pehado ko perfect score srike lagi ang tira mo.

    Ellen,

After a month ay merong dumating na Pinay padala raw ng NEDA as scholar. Binisita ko. Mantakin mo, naglalaba sa bidet! Totoo ‘yan, peksman!

  4. Ako naman, golf. Last time I played golf here, I imagined the lil white ball as either Gloria’s face, Apostol’s face or Esperon’s head, then I whack it… seriously, lil poor me who plays golf like a hockey player on grass, manages to go beyond the 150m distance.

Now, I’ve decided to put names on each of the lil white tinggies when I play golf (practical pa because at least nobody can claim an Abalos ball on the fairway is his or hers, heheheh!). I’m going to put the names of Gloria, Apostol, Esperon, Abalos, etc. Pag nawala, I will replace the ball, heh!

It’s a good thing Raul Gonzalez is seriously ill or else we would have heard something from his big mouth after the verdict. Ang pumalit si Apostol. Mike Arroyo is also quiet…nagbibilang ng pera. Regal’s Mother Lily cried foul. She was very mad. We have not heard anything from Cory Aquino and Susan Roces yet.

  6. That’s right – we haven’t heard from Susan. Wonder why not…

  7. Rose: may nabasa ako noon na kaya walang masiadong na stress out na mga employees sa Japan because they have one room in the office na maraming punching bags and pictures of executives nila..pag may galit ka put the picture of the person you dislike at puntalin mo hanggang sa masera ang picture o yong punching bag..totoo ba ito Yuko?

    *****
Nope, Rose, wala niyan sa Japan. Urban legend iyan propagated by some Americans, I guess, kasi dito ang mga hapon in general are faithful to their companies.

Tanggal ka sa trabaho kung gagawin mo iyan unless the company itself has posted those photos and see who among the executives are unpopular and need to be terminated, but for employees to do so on their own, I doubt.

Besides, it is not necessary if you are a member of a strong labor union in Japan. I actually encourage my own staff to join such unions for the benefits, at saka para matoto sila ng tamang pag-struggle lalo na itong mga pilipinong staff ko.

  8. Don’t expect Cory Aquino to give any comment on this verdict of Erap. Isa siya sa nagpatanggal sa kaniya, remember?

As for Susan, I suppose she considers this as something private—I mean, her sympathy to the family of the best friend of her husband.

  9. Ako walang stress despite the logs that filed up during my absence. Iniwasan ko lang mag-blog ng marami dito after hearing of the verdict on Erap. Baka kasi tumaas ang BP ko. Inom agad ako ng gamot as a matter of fact.

Anyway, I have faith that in due time, the creep will be removed. Sabi nga, “Crime does not pay.” Somehow, I have this uncanny feeling about it. Kung mangyari man iyon, I hope I can say, “Patawarin sana siya ng Dios!” Right now, I can’t say that for her!

September 13th, 2007 at 11:42 pm (Edit this comment)

I have so many things to tell, I’ve read the whole text of the decision and prepared a draft of my technical analysis, trying hard to be objective and open-minded. Five pages later, I’m not even halfway.

Na-shock? Siguro. Pero believe me, iba talaga ang atmosphere, it’s so thick you can cut the air with a knife. Tipong “walang luko-lukong dadayo rito at gagawa ng malasado ngayon kundi malilintikan!” Mas nakakatakot yata yung ganitong tahimik. Hindi ako sanay.

Ah well, we were all waiting for action to happen that day.

  11. we-will-never-learn we-will-never-learn

When the Erap verdict was proclaimed it is reported that about 20 Congress / Senator members attended a celebration party with Schizoglo as host.

But we didn’t see any dancing in the streets because the dancing by the masses awaits the ouster of this evil woman – and that will happen soon – its just the calm before the storm so be patient.

  12. we-will-never-learn we-will-never-learn

Binay said “despite the ‘reduced’ number of rallyists who took to the streets on Wednesday when the anti-graft court handed its decision, it does not mean that the former leader has lost the support of the people”.
The last minute decision to televise the preceedings defused the need for crowds to leave their homes and gather much as when the Catholic Church changed the name of their demonstration to be a ‘Prayer Rally’.
It turns out to be more benificial to the demonstrators now that they can plan and organise their demonstrations once the anger has hit the minds of the masses when they see the Lying, Cheating Killings continuing unabated by this evil woman and her administration, with the Chinese Deal and the lying Abalos as an on-going example of whats to come.

Yuko:I think it was mentioned in one of those American magazines way back when Japan opened their doors to put up business in US. Thanks.

I asked my lady friend what is a bidet. She asked me to spell the word, and I did. She laughed heartily – “you silly you … that is pronounced with silent ‘t’ …” No wonder, we had lack of communication. Oh, by the way – is there a button marked ATR?? ( How come I feel queasy?)

  15. TonGuE-tWisTeD TonGuE-tWisTeD

    ATR = Automatic Tampon Remover?

  16. TonGuE-tWisTeD TonGuE-tWisTeD

EEEW!

  17. ATR? I didn’t notice that. Here are the photos I took. Click to enlarge:

    bidet-wash-1.JPG bidet3.JPG

Ay naku, what one can do in a fit of anger. Imagine a bidet as an anger management tool!

  18. Tongue, Ha! Ha! Ha!

It is missing a button for wax and polish and an optional button for hair shaver.Iyong iba ay may underwear disposal pa and a button for soapless and waterless hand wash.

EEEW!”

    Hahahahah.

  21. Ellen,

Looks like this ATR in Pinas is a bit more hygienic – I never got used to the public comfort rooms in Malaysia because most of the time the floor of the CRs have paddles of water due to the hose they use.

Maski I’m suffering, di bale na lang, I’d wait till I get back to my hotel room or I’d rush inside any big hotel in the vicinity before doing anything (all hotels in Malaysia have two types of CRs, one western type and the other is Turkish type and a hose).

Before finally signing up to rent the house in Malaysia that we lived in, there used to be one by the swimming pool and I told the landlord, we’d rent the house on the condition he demolish the horrible thing and replace it with a proper toilet. He did but not after whining and whimpering, etc.

I really can’t stomach seeing those Turkish toilets with hoses on the side tapos basa pa ang floor. Nakupo!

    Luzviminda:
I didn’t get to reply to your question until last night.

    at muli siyang hinimatay!

ano pa nga ba’ng magagawa ng pagsisising bunga ng katangahan?

    he he he heeeeh!

When the verdict against Erap went out, may were very upset. Hence, the title “Letting Steam Out” was the feeling of most of us. We let our emotions read and heard. We didn’t hold our punches. Time to change the thread to “Letting Sperm Out”.
Once Erap is freed, we shall all rejoice and let sperm out. I’m just in the mood to crack corny and green jokes.
