Another incident that reinforces Philippine reputation as cheating capital. With a cheat for a president, what do we expect?

Defective voting machines used in a US congressional election in the state of Florida have been traced to a factory in the Philippines, an American news anchor has exposed in a 13-minute Web news clip.
In his HDNet report, Dan Rather was able to trace the touchscreen voting machines produced by Ivotronic Touchscreen to a Manila factory of Teletech Corp.
Teletech has been identified as owned by a businessman named Edwin Ching. Reports said that Ching is well-connected.
Rather looked into the origin of the voting machines after losing US congressional candidate Christine Jennings questioned the result of the election last year before the US Congress. Jennings blamed her loss to Ivotronic’s voting machines.
One of the defects, as shown on the news clip, was the machine’s tendency to register a vote for a candidate different from the voter’s choice.
Some Teletech employees interviewed by Rather revealed that the factory was more concerned on “quantity” rather than quality when these were on the assembly line.
An employee who declined to show his face on camera told Rathers that factory officials ignored workers’ complaints about several defects in the machines. The employee said these defective machines were still shipped to the US despite the problems encountered during assembly.
The employee added that the assembly of the machines were rushed to meet a shipping deadline.
Eddie Vibar, a former Teletech engineer, also exposed the literal “manual shake test” being practiced in the factory. He said the shake test is used to check for loose bolts.
ABS-CBN News correspondent Paul Henson went to the Teletech factory in Manila for a company statement. He, however, was refused entry by the security guard who said there are no officials available for interview.
Henson reported that the company’s signage indicate that it is ISO certified, which means it has passed international standards.
Rather’s report has alarmed voters not only in America, but also in the Philippines. The Philippine government has been aiming to automate the presidential election in 2010.

We shouldn’t really be appalled because only shady people like this Edwin Ching – who lives in Paraiso (Paradise) Street in Dasmarinas Village in Makati City – would be attracted to a Gloria. Dirt can be only be attracted to dirt, diba ? Kailangan natin ang isang dirt buster o vaccuum na makakasikup ng dumi sa ating lipunan.
Edwin Ching is said to be well-connected. Ano pa nga ba? Lahat naman ng kakahiyang ginagawa ng mga tarantadong pinoy na tulad ni Ching ay konektado sa tianak at IpDye.
Was it really just a faulty poll machine or made by unscrupulous makers in the Philippines upon instruction of Arroyo per Bush’s request? Bush and Arroyo might know or hiding something. Knowing that the Philippines is a country of fakes under the Arroyo government, Bush might have ordered such a machine made for his victory in Florida. It’s very possible. As a show of gratitude lest that Arroyo might disclose it, Bush government allows her to stay until this day.
Dan Rathers has good reason to expose this. Everytime someone presses a candidate’s name on the touch screen, whether Gore’s or Bush’, one vote is aadded to a certain Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo! Woohoo!
This is why I have been very much against the automation of Philippine election as advertised by some people calling themselves as the Botong Pinoy or something as if they can really solve the election cheating in the Philippines with the cheaters themselves running the election. Parang nakakaloko.
Over in Japan, we do not even use machines to register the voters because we have a registration system that makes registration of any Japanese born in Japan registered in their respective family registries upon birth, and a very workable residence census and registry.
I remember my friend, Orly Mercado, telling me that it would be impossible to have a registry law to pass in the Philippines because once the registry is straightened like the intact Japanese registry, wala nang makakakurakot!!! Ugh! Ang sagwa ng katwiran!

Exported na pala ang “cheating machinery” ng Pilipinas. Why don’t they offer it to the countries in Africa and in South and Latin America. At samahan na rin ng libro na ang topic ay ” how to emerge winner in an election even if you lose in the voting”. I wonder if the computerized elections in 2010 in PI will be facilitated by this company who manufactured the “lemon” voting machines sold to the US.
In the US, once the problem is detected, it is corrected. In PI, if there is a problem, everyone points a finger at someone else and worse, the investigation takes a century until all the villains are either dead or have migrated to other countries, living in luxury with the looted money.

There’s something wrong here. The Comelec bought 42 counting machines from AIS at $15,000 each. These are the same electronic cheating machines built by Edwin Ching’s factory and sold to the United States at much lower price @$3,000. Anak ng jueteng, bulok na overpriced pa.

The cheating machine was sold to Florida and the governor then was Bush’s brother. Bush won in Florida not in California, etc. The elections in 2000 and 2004 in the US were definitely disappointing and rather anomalous with results taking too long a time to be known unlike before, and now we know for a fact—dinadaya.

If I’m not mistaken, the Church of the Latter Day Saints is also pro-Republicans. They may not be interfering in politics unlike what other groups do, but some of the elected politicians are members of LDS. So in a way, the church is also involved in politics. The Republicans mostly represent the business sector and the elite. That’s the reason why the Jews are for Republicans too. And yes, they are among the biggest Republican donors.
