Nakakabahala dahil wala tayong sapat na irigasyon para patubigan ang mga palayan sa Luzon na siyang pinanggalingan ng pinakaraming palay sa bansa. Kapag mahina ang ani, hindi lamang mga magsasaka ang maghihirap kung di buiong bayan dahil mapipilitan na namang mag-import ng bigas. Siyempre tataas ang presyo ng bigas.
Kapag tumaas ang presyo ng bigas, ang mga halos hindi makakain ng tatlong beses isang araw noon, at baka isang beses na lang ngayon.

Wala tayong mga propeta na katulad ni Joseph ngunit binigyan tayo ng Panginoon ng kaalaman sa pamamagitan ng siyensya para malaman ang pag-iba iba ng panahon. Hindi natin masabi na nakakagulat itong nangyaring hindi pagdating ng ulan sa buwan ng Hunyo at Hulyo. Sabi ng weather bureau mga Agosto pa raw darating ang ulan.
