Pinipilit kong intindihin si AFP Chief Hermogenes Esperon sa kanyang pikon na pananaw sa pagkapanalo ni Lt(sg) Antonio Trillanes IV sa pagka-senador.
Napanood ko sa TV noong Biyernes ng gabin ang reaksyon niya sa pinakahihintay ng bayan na proklamasyon ni Trillanes bilang senador. Hindi maitago ni Esperon ang kanyang inis.
Sa halip na makinig sa boses ng 11 milyon na Pilipino na bumoto kay Trillanes, ang mga balakid pa rin ang kanyang pinagsasabi ni Esperon. Porke’t sinasabi raw ng Articles of War ito at ito.
Ngunit ito ang sinabi ni Esperon na nagpapahiwatig na nasa-panic mode sila sa military: “Sige gusto gumalaw, subukan nila.”
Natatakot ba si Esperon na magkaroon ng coup o paggalaw ang mga military? Bakit ganoon siya magsalita? Halatang insecure.
Dahil kaya sa damang-dama niya ang sampal sa kanya ng mga kasundaluhan na nagpanalo kay Trillanes kahit na nag-order siyang bomoto sa mga kandidato ng Team Unity ni Gloria Arroyo. Kahit na pinag-utos niya, sa pamamagitan ng kayang Army chief na si Gen. Romeo Tolentino na alisin ang mga posters ni Trillanes sa paligid ng military camps.
O baka naman nakita niya sa mga sagot sa survey na kanilang isinasagawa na walang respeto sa kanila ang karamihan sa mga batang opisyal.
Dapat lang talaga mag-alala si Esperon sa kalagayan niya ngayon sa nagising na sandatahang Pilipino.
Sabi nga ni Trillanes, ang armed forces o ang sandatahang hukbo ng Pilipinas ngayon ay kaanib na ng sambayanang Pilipino. Pinakita ng mga sundalo, sa pamamagitan ng pagboto sa kanya, kasama na ng kanilang mga pamilya, na dama nila ang damdamin at hinagpis ng sambayanang Pilipino.
Pinakita ng ating mga sundalo na panig sila sa katotohanan at sa hustisya. Ayaw nila ng dayaan, kurakutan at walang pankundangan pagpatay sa kapwa Pilipino.
Dapat lang talaga mag-alala si Esperon, ang isang ehemplo kung paano umakyat sa liderato ng AFP sa pamagitan ng pagsisipsip sa may kapangyarihan, kasama na ang pagbabastos sa sandatahang hukbo.
Ang hilig-hilig ni Esperon magbanggit ng batas at Articles of War. Mabuti naman. Ngunit hindi niya dapat piliin lang ang gusto niyang parte ng batas. Dapat intindihin niya ng mabuti ang buod.
Sinabi ng Constitution ang Armed Forces ay hindi naki-alam sa pulitika. Bakit niya tinulungan si Gloria Arroyo mandaya noong 2004 elections. Sinabi sa Constitution na ang Armed Forces ay tagapagtanggol ng sambayang Pilipino.
Pagkatapos mabuko ang pandaraya ni Gloria Arroyo noong 2004 election, lumabas sa survey na pito sa sampung Pilipino ay ayaw kay Arroyo. Bakit siya patuloy na nagtatanggol kay Gloria Arroyo?
Isa lang ang ibig sabihin. Hindi hawak ni Heneral Esperon ang boung AFP. Tagilid siya. Bakit kailangan pa ang isang internal survey sa pagkanalo ni Senador Trillanes? Siguradong sabit siya sa Hello Garci politikal scam at ibang anomalya sa militar. Yanig to the bones talaga! Anong Articles of War? The Filipino people are at war with corrupt and abusive Gloria Arroyo government since 2001 power grab.
When you have your back against the wall and your are haunted by the wrongs you did but won’t accept you did ay magpapanic ka nga. Dahil sa heneral siya kuno ang kanyang panakot ay- subukan ninyo. Sampal ng mahigit na labing isang milyong Pilipino ang umabot hindi lang kay Esperon pati na rin kay Gloria Macapagal Arroyo. Kitang kita ang ebidensya sa pamumula ng kanilang mukha sa matinding sampal na lumalapat at bawat isang araw na nagdaraan, may dagdag pang sampal. Ang hapdi ng sampal ay ramdam ng buong katawan.
Hindi mapapasubalian ang lakas ng tsunaming dumating sa katauhan ni Sen. Trillanes sa buhay nating mga mamamayan. Bagaman at nakakulong ay sa kanya ipinagkatiwala ng labing isang milyong mamamayan ang kanilang boto bilang isang protest vote sa kasalukuyang administrasyon. Ang labing isang milyon sa average na apat sa isang pamilya ay nangangahulugan ng halos kalahati ng populasyon ng buong Pilipinas.
Sa ganitong pangyayari, walang pasubaling magpanik si Esperon. Bakit nga ba hindi?
Isang araw ay tatawagin siya sa Senado upang humarap sa mga pandinig ng mga kasong tiyak kasasangkutan ni Esperon. Pagdating niya sa Senado, ang kaharap niya ay si Sen. Trillanes na kanina lamang ay nasa kulungan. Bago pumasok ng session hall ay inalisan muna ng posas si Sen. Trillanes. Habang magkakaharap sila, halatang parang sinisilihan sa pwet si Esperon, pinagpapawisan ng malagkit. Lahat ng mata ay nakatuun sa kanila, buong bansa, sa oras na magtanong na si Sen. Trillanes. At dumating na ang oras ni Sen. Trillanes na magtanong at ang sagot ni Esperon: Yes, Your Honor! Nabaligtad ang mundo! Ang jailer ang siya ngayong nagsasabi ng Your Honor sa isa niyang sundalo na kanina lamang ay nakakulong! Sa isang taong may delicadeza, baka magpakamatay na gayung eksena. Pero hindi natin inaasam na gawin yon ni Esperon. Hayaan nating pagbayaran niya ang kanyang pagkakasangkot sa Hello Garci. Hayaan din natin siyang makulong. Hayaan natin maranasan niya ang dinanas pa hanggang ngayon ni Sen. Trillanes at marami nitong kasamahan na pinagkakaitan ng kanilang basic rights.

Apparently, the pork barrel is one of the things that corrupt the lawmakers and what the greedy Malacanang squatters hold the neck with. This kind of system should therefore be abolished. No one should be getting any kind of payment even for public projects directly, and the money for such projects should not be left in the discretion, etc. of the possible to be corrupted politicians and even bureaucrats.
Good for Lacson and Trillanes to start a trend! Trillanes, for his part, has started one—cheap political campaign that for him and the people who campaigned for him (my staff included) to be worth the sacrifice!

MANILA — Accused coup plotter-turned-senator Antonio Trillanes IV is not alone in his plan to resurrect the “Hello Garci” controversy and take the Arroyo administration to task for the unabated extrajudicial killings.
A group of top military officials critical of President Macapagal-Arroyo has vowed to load the detained senator-elect with “ammunition” on these two issues once he begins work in the 14th Congress next month.
Two of these officials, both generals, spoke with the Inquirer on Sunday on condition of anonymity.

Looking at the overwhelming win of GO in the Senate – not to mention the Trillanes phenomenon – the people gave a resounding WE DO NOT SUPPORT GLORIA.

I see Trillianes evolving into bigger force in our politics. Assperon though is doing all he can so Trillianes may not be able to serve the way he should and may be preceived as “inutil”. MANILA, Philippines — Even before senator-elect Antonio Trillanes IV gets a chance to grill him in legislative inquiries, Armed Forces chief of staff General Hermogenes Esperon Jr. said he would not show up for Senate hearings without a clearance from Malacañang.
Esperon said that as far as he knows, Executive Order (EO) 464 remains in effect even if the Supreme Court declared voided certain portions of it in a unanimous decision in April 2006.

The real fight with assperon is after he is no longer the “CHEAT OF STAFF”. The military officers who know a lot but simply can not talk now because they know that this cheat is a “traitor” to his own men, will eventually bring out the “goods” on Assperon! He only knows one master and that is the tiyanak. He may as well go down with her! After he retires, he may think he can migrate to Australia and enjoy his ranch over there. I do not think so! The Senate can summon him back to the Philippines and face the charges. He deserves to retire in jail! Trillianes will not stop until he can reform the military through the Senate.
