Grabe itong nangyari na pagpatay kay Musa Dimasidsing, ang schools district supervisor, na siyang nanguna na magbulgar na wala naman talagang eleksyon na naganap sa Maguindanao kung saan 12-0 ang score sa senatorial elections, pabor sa Team Unity ni Gloria Arroyo.
Noong Sabado ng gabi, kakatapos lang kumain ng hapunan si Dimasidsing at nakatayo siya sa labas ng Madrasah (Islamic School) sa Pikit, North Cotabato ng biglang may narinig na putok. Tapos, nag brown out.
Naghagilap sila ng kani-kanilang flashlight ag laking gulat nila nang makita nila si Dimasidsing na duguang nakabulagta sa lupa. Patay.
Kaagad-agad sinabi ni Pagalungan vice mayor Norodin Matalam na ang nangyari ay may kinalaman sa nakaraang May 14 eleksyon. Si Matalam ay nagpu-protesta sa kanyang pagkatalo sa kandidato ni Gloria Arroyo sa pagka-mayor sa Maguindanao na si Uto Montawal.
Sabi ni Matalam na pinilit daw itong si Dimasidsing na pumirma ng parang certification na walang dayaan na nagyari noong May 14 eleksyonsa Maguindanao ngunit hindi siya pumayag.
Siyempre naman. Paano naman pirmahan ni Dimasidsing ang ganoong certification samantalang siya nga ang buong tapang na nanguna na magbulgar na wala naman talagang eleksyon na nagagap si Maguindanao kung saan number one si Chavit Singson at panalo lahat ang buong TU. Bokya naman marami sa mga Genuine Opposition na kandidato para senador.
Dahil sa paglabas ni Dimasidsing, mga ilan pang titser ang nagsalita at ikinuwento nila kung paano sila pinilit na mag-manufacture ng resulta ng eleksyon doon. Ginamit pa ang mga bata para sa dayaan sa pamamgitan ng kanilang mga thumbmark.
Tama si Matalam na ang pagpatay kay Dimasidsing ay kaugnay sa nakaraang eleksyon. Ito ay para hindi na makapagsalita si Dimasidsing na lahat-lahat niyang mga nalalaman kasama na ang mga personlidad na kasali sa krimeng dayaan.
Ito ay babala rin sa iba na tumahimik na lang sila tungkol sa kanila nalalaman sa May 14 eleksyon.
Makunsyensa dapat ang mga election operator ng Malacañang na dahil sa kanilang page-enganyo sa mga pulitiko sa Maguindanao, nahantong sa dayaan at ngayon kamatayan ng isang marangal na opisyal.
Maala-ala natin na bago mag-eleksyon, nangako ang isang mataas ng opisyal sa Manguindanao na magbibigasy ng isang milyong piso sa bawat barangay na makapagbigay ng 12-0 sa TU.
Makonsensiya din dapat ang Comelec lalo na ang chairman na si Benjamin Abalos dahil sa kanilang pagbulang-bulagan ang pagbingi-bingihan, maging matapang ang loob ng mga mandaraya.
I believe the Authorities again had failed in their duty to protect those who had the courage to speak out about the wrongdoings. Is this another warning for those to shut up and live or speak out and die? But again who in this Government or even in the whole society cares? Another statistic.
Another death added to the scores already forgotten. As usual, business will go on. And to where it is bound to, no one and nobody is now sure.
What happened to Dimasidsing is a clear warning to other whistle blowers! There’s only one motive behind the killing: To shut up the TRUTH! Asking who are the people behind this is a STUPID QUESTION! Dapat lang ISUMPA ang gumawa ng krimeng ito!
Kung doon kaya sa tapat ng bahay ni Tita Migz (Daya-na) Zubiri iburol ang bangkay, matauhan kaya siya? Ilan pa kayang Dimasidsing ang magbubuwis ng buhay maisakatuparan lang ng mga mandaraya ang pag-upo sa puwesto at nang makapagnakaw sa kaban.
Ang mga taong pumatay sa kanya ay hindi na dapat bigyan ng kapangyarihan dahil hindi pa man, inaabuso na ang karapatan ng iba.
Itigil na ang anumang eleksiyon sa ARMM. Hindi sila marunong gumamit o gumalang ng karapatang bumoto! Hindi rin naman kayang ipatupad ng pamahalaan ang maayos na eleksiyon doon.
Tapusin na ang kahibangang iyan at marami pang buhay ang maisasalba.
Paano makonsensiya si Abalos- sa wala naman siya noon. At ang sagot niya lagi ay wala siyang alam. For him- ignorance is bliss. Ignorance of the law, however, is not an excuse. Abogado ba siya? Baka naman aboga-o? Hindi kaya siya nangdaya sa bar? Bumayad pa siya? Ang ibig kong sabihin ay noong uminom siya ng beer sa bar- bumayad ba siya? Kayo naman- iba ang nasa-isip ninyo. Pero puede din!
Ang kabayanihan ni Dimasidsing ay kahanga-hanga. Alam niyang maaring kitlin ang buhay niya sa pagbulgar na ginawa niya, ngunit hindi sapat iyon upang pigilan siyang sa kanyang pagsisiwalat upang kahit paano’y maging simula sana ng pag-aayos sa bulok na pamamalakad ng COMELEC sa kaniyang probinsiya.
Tunay siyang Dimasidsing, di lang siya nag-masid, ikinanta pa niya ang malawakang panlolokong lagi na lang ipinipilit sa ating tanggapin tuwing may eleksiyon.
Hindi sana napunta sa wala ang sakripisyo niya. Mabuhay ka, kapatid!
Sabi ni Chairman Abalos generally peaceful daw ang eleksyon. Totoo po dahil maraming Rest In Peace (R.I.P.)forever. Sana multuhin at makarma ang mga utak sa pamaslang kay Musa Dimasidsing.
One thing these crooks are forgetting is that the more Filipinos are pushed to the brink, the more they become daring and bolder as when they voted for Trillanes despite the attempt to discourage Filipinos from voting for him.

Regarding Bedol: Asked about witnesses, he disregards them as not being legitimate. And yet, who are we to believe, these teachers who would risk death in order to provide testimony, or Lintang Bedol who refused the watchdog’s pleas to observe the canvassing, the same Lintang Bedol who has gone missing for the last two weeks. I honestly think that Lintang Bedol must be out of his mind when he tells us to believe him and not the witnesses.
But the way justice is for Lintang Bedol, he is presumed stupid until found guilty.
Regarding Abalos:

My prayers are for Musa Dimasidsing. His death will not be in vain. Sooner or later all these unnjustified killings will be unraveled one by one and the finger will point to just one responsible person- the Tiyanak. Must tell you all that I was sickened by what I saw and by the report I heard. We may all turn to the beauty of legalese to apply justice but the law must be discerning so as not to free the criminals.
In that video (and the testimonies we hear, the reports we read all over the place, the stupefying results of the election in Maguindanao, etc), we see that there are more than enough circumstacial evidences to show that election manipulations and cheatings in the higest degree occurred in the Maguindanao elections.
Bedol is not only not credible – he is a thief of the worst variety! A pig would have more decency than this so-called election official of the crappest variety! After admitting that election manipulations do and di occur in Maguindanao last May 14, how could he not even have questioned the 12-0 results before bringing those CoCs to Manila?
Simple: To my mind, he was part of the sting and Comelec is the commandatore with Gloria’s government the financier!
Those people in the gym allowing that to happen should be rounded up and questioned, indicted if proven that they participated in the election heist and convicted for criminal acts if judged guilty!
At the same time, how on earth can you evin begin to apply the rule of law when the officials designated by Law are the first to break that law? How can you indict the election heisters when the person at the helm in Malacanang is the first commandatore of the Mafia gangland style of election smuggling?
As Jean-Jacques Rousseau said, the law must be applied with REASON, the spirit of the law must not be twisted for the law to be best served!

Ellen and my friends, I’m doing a writing project regarding the recent murder of Musa Dimasidsing, the district supervisor who was shot dead, he was the election official who exposed the election fraud and other anomalies in Maguindanao.

Yes, what is there to celebrate about when the Filipinos are being held by the neck by these criminals running the country like hell. The unano is a first class criminal. She should be removed now.
She has no right to be making decisions for the Filipinos. She does not have that mandate because the majority of Filipinos did not vote for her as she in fact has admitted that she has sanctioned and authorized fellow criminals to cheat for her. I actually saw a Franciscan priest in some rally against the extrajudicial killing being clubbed by policemen from the AFP. For this I cannot understand why the members of the CBCP would not even dare boldly tell the idiot to step down so peace can come back to the country and the Filipinos can start anew in their pursuit for a better Philippines, not one where the presidents are conceived of being robbers and thieves, and now even as pimps as these crooks engage in human trafficking of Filipinos.

Suara believes no 12-0 in Pagalungan, Maguindanao,
urges COMELEC to get hold of ERs, start canvassing now
PAGALUNGAN, MAGUINDANAO – Suara Bangsamoro Party list today said that a 12-0 turn out will never be possible in the Municipality of Pagalungan, Maguindanao where 38 ballot boxes from eight barangays are yet to be opened.
To prove this claim, Suara Bangsamoro urges the COMELEC to secure the ballot boxes and start its canvassing immediately.
Pagalungan in Maguindanao became controversial when members of the Board of Election Inspectors here refused to transport 38 ballot boxes from the Sangguniang Bayan of Pagalungan to the municipality of Shariff Aguak, the venue of the provincial canvassing, as the municipal canvassing in Sangguniang Bayan is not yet done.
According to a member of the BEI, they were instructed by the Municipal Election Officer last May 11 to deliver the ballot boxes to the Sangguniang Bayan for the municipal canvassing. However, on the day of the election, Elisa Gasmin, Municipal Election Officer, suddenly ordered them to transport the ballot boxes in four private vans outside the Sangguniang Bayan.
“They refused to give the ballot boxes to deliver to Shariff Aguak because the vans according to them are not the official vehicles of the COMELEC and there was no document shown to them as proof that the directive of transferring the ballot boxes is also official,” Zaynab Ampatuan, National Chairperson of Suara Bangsamoro said.
The proclamation of local candidates was already done even if the 38 ballot boxes are still unopened with 190 election returns.
According to Suara Bangsamoro, the Commission on Elections should get hold of the ballot boxes immediately so that the teachers will be relieved of their election duties.
“The members of the BEI in Pagalungan have been guarding the ballot boxes inside the Sangguniang Bayan of Pagalungan for ten days already and up to this date, no election officer from the COMELEC is replying to their request to secure the ballot boxes,” Ampatuan said.
She added that these BEIs have already abandoned their other responsibilities in their families and in school to safeguard the ballot boxes.
“They have been safekeeping the ballot boxes day and night relying to the support of the community for their daily consumption, ” Ampatuan said. #

Suicide is no cowardly act as a matter of fact. It is a good way to eliminate and lessen the number of crooks as we have witnessed in the Land of the Rising Sun.
In fact, there is a verse in the Bible where cutting off one’s life is considered acceptable and honorable or kind of implied it to be so. Especially for Filipinos who have been trained to think of suicide as an unforgivable sin, taking one’s life surely takes a lot of courage!
Even the Japanese, who are indoctrinated in doing it right by self-destruction, think one is courageous enough to do such a thing for there are a lot many people who cannot do it regardless of whether they are Christians or not.

Parang Ifugao pala ha, especially when the dead is a victim of violence.
Many years ago, I saw a documentary on the Ifugaos and how they honor and bury their dead. Victims of violence, and even traffic accidents or people dying for no valid reason are immediately buried to prevent the spirit from staying and getting confused if not diabolical. Those who die of natural death are mummified by putting their corpses sitting up at their favorite habitats or rendezvous, oiling the body every day so the body will not smell awful and decomposition slowed down. Yuko, this may be the first time we disagree with regards to suicide… I’ve always thought that it was the thought of disgrace that led to suicide with regards to Japanese culture of honorable suicide, I think the more courageous thing to do is to face your disgrace, it’s a cop out in my view…
with regards to the bible verse, I’ve always thought of that passage as the fact that God is more concerned with the health of our soul, thus let go of our vices and sins, the physical world is finite, but our soul.. that is infinite…
But, let’s not get into any more philosophy, lest we forget the we all basically agree that Musa Dimasidsing was a courageous soul, who SACRIFICED himself in the name of democracy and ultimately this land we love so dearly..
Sinabi mo pa, Nick. We are not disagreeing as a matter of fact. I’m just sharing what I know and feel about it.
In fact, I had a very spiritual experience on this. Let me share it with you and the rest of those willing to hear this story.
Many years ago, I was asked to get a ticket for a Philippine Embassy staff to deliver the ashes of a Filipina to her family. She was a Japayuki here engaging or was forced to engage in prostitution. She was doing it for her family in need. In the end, when she could no longer bear it, she hanged herself with some panty hose by the window sill.
The Catholic Church refused to give her the necessary rite to save her soul because of some Catholic belief that it is unforgivable without those priest really knowing one hundred percent, I guess, the Will of God. I actually had the same attitude about suicide even when it is not uncommon in Japan, where it is considered an honorable way to be saved from humiliation and ostracism, etc.
When I delivered the ticket to the embassy, I was compelled to go down the basement where her ashes and picture were. When I did, I kind of felt some presence that gave me those goose bumps and I went home still feeling the presence with me. That night, it stayed with me until I promised to do something to appease her soul.
I wrote to the authorities of our church and asked if there was a way to save someone who had taken her own life because she could not bear what she was doing to her body. I was told to do vicarious works for her at our temple only after I have found out more about her and if I could get a permission from her parents or next of kin.
Then, miracles of miracles, I was led to the people who knew her in life, even provided with copies of the letters she wrote to her sister and most of all to God and Jesus Christ where she poured her heart out.
In short, I was able to get her parent’s (the father was dead) and I was able to do vicarious works for the dead for her at our temple. And when I did, I knew she was there to witness it, and I felt happy for her. In a way, the to be able to do all those rites for her was proof enough for me that God has forgiven her, because she wanted so much to abide by God’s rule on chastity. Since, it was defiled and she did not want to worsen its state of impurity, she killed herself.
That for me, Nick, is justice that we as mortals are likely to overlook and see as pure and godly.

Don’t mention it, Nick, but that experience surely gave me a better understanding of God’s miracle of forgiveness, and that God’s way is not our way.

Musa Dimasidsing’s murder may not be in vain, after all. The outrage felt over his murder is snowballing into something that may roll COMELEC, and possibly, the Palace over.

Sa ating mga Pilipino, we can’t help but have that negative impact of the word “suicide.” Though suicide may not be the right term for Musa’s case, (he knowing that refusing to bow before the wishes of these criminals would eventually lead to his annihilation if he doesn’t take precautions), in a sense, it was an honorable act! As Mrivera said, pag-aalay ng buhay ang kanyang ginawa!
Yuko, yes I agree with you that in Japan, suicide is indeed a form of heroism! And Musa is really a HERO! My salute to him! May he rest in Peace!

Mr. Musa Dimasidsing’s violent death in the hands of cowardly assassin(s) should be denounced in the strongest possible terms.
Any investigation towards the solution of this dastardly act must begin within the confines of the Comelec, specifically, to that of its Chair, who challenged all and sundry to present evidence of Maguindanao’S farcical conduct of the elections.
The Comelec must be deemed equally responsible for his death, for coyly feigning ignorance to the province’s cheating despite of various electoral watch group reports of gross anomalies, FORCING this one gentleman-poor guy from Maguindanao, took Abalos challenge seriously and bravely show us all, the ABC’s of local cheating; a genuine class-act, in total disregard to his own safety, which should have been guaranteed for coming out, in the first place.
Is he not part of those intrepid group of local Board of Election Inspectors (BEI’s), whose identities remain publicly UNdisclosed; presented themselves as witnesses to the province’s under the banana-trees-held behest elections, in a closed-door executive session with the Comelec en banc?!
How come, it simply escapes me, he was identified and known to the gunmen to be part of those who came forward and submitted to Comelec’s perusal?
Given its proven propensity to disregard the people’s will during elections, am indicting Abalos, et al, of harboring a criminal inside the electoral body; a paid informant, with very little doubt, for betraying Mr. Dimasidsing identity to the assassins.
