Nagkita kami ni Gabby Claudio, presidential adviser on political affairs ni Gloria Arroyo, sa ABS-CBN noong isang gabi. Sinabi ko sa kanya na mahiya-hiya naman sila na pinipilit nilang bilangin ang boto ng Maguindanao samantalang alam naman nila na “manufactured” yung 12-0 na boto doon.
Sabi ko, nagre-reklamo kayo na sinasabihan kayong mandaraya. Tapos pinagpipilitan nyo bilangin ang mga daya na boto dahil yun lamang ang paraan na makapasok sa Magic 12 ang kandidato nyo na si Migs Zubiri.
Sabi ni Claudio, “Ang problema sa Maguindanao, ay na-proclaim na ang mga lokal na kandidato. Paano mo ipa-walang bisa ang eleksyon.”
Parang inamin na rin ni Claudio na daya votes nga ang nasa Maguindanao.
Wala naman raw partial nullification. Kapag binale-wala mo ang 12-0 na ginawa ng mga operators ng administrasyon, dapat bvale-wala rin ang mga proklamasyon ng mga local candidates. Hindi raw maaring gawin yun ng Comelec.
At bakit hindi? Sabi ko, sino ba ang nagproklama sa mga local candidates doon. Di ba Comelec rin? Di sila ang may kasalanan nito lahat. Bakit ang taumbayan ang paparusahan nyo na magkaroon ng senador na hindi naman nanalo?
Tingnan mo ang kanilang pag-iisip. Gumawa sila ng kasalanan. Ngayon na naipit na sila, gagawa sila ng panibagong kasalanan sa pamamagitan ng pagbilang ng mga pekeng COCs. Dahil sa mga pekeng COCs na yan, malalaglag si Koko Pimentel, isang magaling na abogado at marangal na tao. Ang papasok ay si Zubiri.
Masaya ba si Zubiri na pangalanan siyang Senator Daya dahil naging senador siya dahil sa mga daya na boto? Siguro nga at mukhang wala siyang paki-alam para lang magiging senador siya.
Tingnan mo na lang at may gana pa siyang takutin si Pimentel at Sonny Trillanes na baka raw magsampa siya ng libel. Sinabi kasi ni Trillanes na alam ng administrasyon, kasama na si Zubiri, na natalo sila ngunit pinagpipilitan.
At mukhang nagsumbong itong si Zubiri sa reyna ng mandaraya. Ikinuwento niya sa mga reporter na bago raw pumunta sa Rome si Arroyo, nagusap sila sa Malacañang at inilabas ni Arroyo ang kamnyang sama ng loob sa mga local government officials na hindi man lamang raw inasikaso ang mga senador ng team Unity. Kahit man lamang lima raw.
Nakakatawa itong si Arroyo. Naniwala pala siya sa sarili niyang mga gimik. Hinahakot niya at ginagastusan itong mga local government officials papunta rito sa Manila. Palagi pa nga sa Malacañang. Akala niya mahal siya ng mga yun?
Dapat matakot siya kasi kung ngayon pa na nasa Malacañang siya hindi siya sinusunod, lalo pa kaya kung wala na siya sa kapangyarihan at kakasuhan siya ng plunder. Bibisita kaya ang mga yun sa kulungan niya?
Kung makulong siya at puede bumisita sa kanya pupunta ako para makita ko ang mukha niya- at kung hindi lang ako cintonado haharanahan ko siya ng “what a difference a jail makes”. How do you think would she look- maidrawing ba kaya ang mukha niya?
Natalo na at talaga namang talo si Zubiri, masakit ngunit ang bansag na sa kanya simula ngayon ay Senator Daya. Lalo lamang magiging kahiya-hiya ang labas niya habang nagpipilit pa siyang pumasok sa Magic 12. Wala nang magic or milagro. Tapos na ang laban. Gusto pa siguro niyang magkaroon ng pamaypay protest na larawan niya ang makikita at may nakasulat: Honorable Senator Daya.
At si Gloria, wala siyang sampalataya sa mga bloggers dito sa Ellenville. Noon pa, simula pa lamang ng kampanya, naisiwalat na rito sa blog na sa pagdating sa lokal, tatanggapin lamang ang SALAPI ng bayan na ipinamumudmud niya pero hindi dadalhin ang TU candidates. Walang command votes. Nangyari ang lahat.
Kung may plano ka Senator Daya na sampahan ng kasong libelo si Trillanes, para mo pang sinabuyan ng gasolina ang nagliliyab na damdamin ng mga kapanalig ni Trillanes.
Para sa iyo Senator Daya, baka hindi mo alam, Trillanes keeps the fire burning, baka mapaso ka o masunog nang tuluyan. Mabuti pa’y mag-concede ka na habang may panahon.
Makapal na talaga ang mukha nitong si Tita Migz Kadiri. Siguro dahil sa kapapahid ng make-up kaya wala nang kahihiyan. Sa sobrang laki ng gastos nila sa mga cheating operators ng Comelec kaya di makapayag na talo sila. Dapat kalampagin iyan sa bahay nila. Sa akin lang ni hindi nga dapat kabitan ng ‘senador’ ang itatawag diyan. Hindi ‘Senador Daya’ kundi ‘Politikong Mandaraya’!!!
Like I’ve always said, these crooks from ARMM do not deserve the right of suffrage as they bungle every opportunity to exercise that right. The state has the powere to protect its integrity which includes that of the rest of the country in terms of getting accurate results from honest elections. The region should be excluded from national polls.

THE Commission on Elections yesterday declared a failure of elections in Maguindanao province where Team Unity senatorial candidates scored a 12-0 victory.
Elections Chairman Benjamin Abalos tentatively set the special elections on June 20.
The province has 337,108 registered voters.
The Maguindanao votes are crucial in determining whether Aquilino Pimentel III of the Genuine Opposition or Juan Miguel Zubiri of Team Unity will win their senatorial bid.
The latest Comelec tally showed Pimentel at No. 12 with 10,656,050 votes while Zubiri is at No. 13 with 10,524,036 votes or a difference of 132,014 votes.
Abalos said the commission decided on holding special elections after the special provincial board of canvassers “terminated” their tabulation of the provincial certificates of canvass because there were no municipal and city documents to count.
Abalos said the holding of special elections means the results from local to national positions will be “set aside.”
He said the commission has ordered winning and proclaimed local officials from Maguindanao to appear in a hearing on Monday to justify why their proclamation should not be disregarded.
He said Maguindanao election supervisor Lintang Bedol has admitted that there are no source documents on which the provincial COCs can be based.
“The basis for this (source documents) is these COCs and statement of votes coming from the different municipalities,” said Abalos.

Trillanes’ lead over Tita Migz is insurmountable. With only 337,000+ registered voters, Maguindanao votes cannot make Tita Migz overtake Trillanes’ over 380,000 lead. Koko, however is not as lucky, his 130,000+ lead over Tita Migz hangs by a thin thread.
Koko’s lawyers, however, are against special elections. They claim, even with the cheated COC, Koko will emerge victorious. I guess Abalos knows that, too. He called for special elections to breathe life unto Zubiri’s dying political ambition.

Papasalubong nga ako sa mga volunteers ni Senator Trillanes at Senator Pimentel kung magkaroon na sila ng victory party. I am not interested in meeting the other Senators kasi sa totoo lang, Skip, I have very high standard in choosing candidates for positions I believe should be occupied only by the trustworthy and people of very high moral standards! Basahin mo ang Bible and it has all the criteria of a good politician/statesman because God in fact wants only the best people to lead His people.
Kung ayaw nilang sumunod, they deserve what they get. It is really as simple as that.
Now, the Philippines is led by criminals, and the time has come for some reckoning. Kaya God has made it possible for Trillanes, Cayetano and Koko Pimentel to be in the Magic 12. This I strongly believe especially in the case of Senator Trillanes is God’s Will that no man can take asunder.

With the opposition garnering enough number to elect the Senate President from its ranks, it has the say on who should have the Chairmanship in any committee. But it has become tradition in the past congresses that they’re entering into some compromise of giving lesser important committees to others. Nagbibigayan, for some perk you know. So, it will be not be suprising that a committee on doing nothing will be given to Lito Lapid. In the case of the Blue Ribbon Committee, the latest report is Joker Arroyo has given it up because he can’t have it anyway. I think Lacson is a shoo-in if Pimentel becomes Sentate President. If Villar retains the post, Blue Ribbon is a toss up between Lacson and Pimentel.

Hopefully the Pidal case will push through, and Trillanes can finally shed light on the corruption in Military.

Tama yang composition mo ng Blue Ribbon committee but what is crucial is who’s the chairman. Aside from the listed members, any incumbent senator can join the hearing in any committee because in or way or another, the case being heard will have connection to the committee they head or as being member. Yong masisipag na senador, they attend to as many hearings to be updated. The natural reaction of others, sasabihin nila puro ngawa at dakdak pero walang projects but it’s the way in legislation. Legislators are not supposed to have projects, they are supposed to prepare bills, conduct hearings, debate on it and pass it.

If the submitted documents are tainted and dubious and statistically improbable you exclude these since there is no other way to determine the results of Maguindanao without opening the ballot boxes. Comelec should proclaim the top 12 and let the affected person protest and open the ballot boxes”.

The Maguindanao Special Elections will take longer than if the ballot boxes were to be opened, but they don’t want this because their plan B is the Special Elections.
GO will not allow this, and will take this up with the Supreme Court, they have precedence on their side…
The truth is, A Maguindanao Special Elections will be hard to watch since the watchgroups and citizen groups are too fatigued..
But this is what the citizen watchdogs and the GO lawyers have been yelling to the Comelec about for the past two weeks. Let’s get to the root of the problem, and look at the election returns all the way down to the ballots themselves…

Pimentel’s lawyers do not want he ballots opened. Pls. read the link I have posted above. They want the ERs, SOVs canvassed, and by reason of statistical improbability of the zero votes, they will question these documents and move for their exclusion from the count. Koko wins and gets proclaimed. If loser Tita Migz protests, he can do so by going down to the ballots, which course everyone is avoiding because it is too messy and expensive.
Koko Pimentel has valid reasons to oppose new elections, but if it’s the only way to settle the final score, so be it.
Tita De Villa of PPCRV has committed 1,500 observers, that’s aside from what Namfrel will send to Maguindanao, or that of the big TV, radio, and newspaper coverage staff, and those of course coming from the political parties/party-list groups, especially the opposition. Cheating without getting caught will be close to impossible. We also get to know the real sentiments of the Maguindanao voters. Win-win, and not just for Koko.
It’s about time the whole country focuses on the perennial cheaters in Maguindanao (and the whole of ARMM) and find ways to dismantle this well-entrenched clan of the Ampatuans and Datumanongs who have kept their stranglehold on our marginalized Muslim brothers whom I guess are too powerless to do it on their own. Let’s give them the freedom they rightfully deserve. Let’s support the more deserving candidates in the local races, too.
There’s no better time to stop the cheating than NOW!
If Koko and GO will not be successful in stopping the special elections, then by all means, win it again, and win BIG.

Excellence? When all she’s been doing all these years is to bring down the country to the level of her gutter character? What a shameless unano!
Sinabi mo pa TT. This is a fignt between Koko and the wannabe Senator Daya now. You’re right that this may prove as another blessing in disguise by exposing these crooks who have perfected this election fraud, and stop it once and for all.
Tama si Koko that if Zubiri has any complain he should do it the legal way, and prove that the votes he claims he got from Mindanao are not tainted, tampered and defrauded. Oh boy, tongue-twisted, this whole Maguindanao thing is really getting to me… Comelec is trying to confuse us all, with all its twists and turns, and its different announcements, at different times, by different people…
One thing is clear, Pimenetel definitely has precedence with his move to exclude documents that are deemed fraudulent, and whoever comes out on top will be declared, and an election protest filed thereafter.
But, I’m really getting pissed off by Abalos’ nonchalant attitude towards Bedol. Bedol above anyone else should be able to explain what happened to the documents.
Pimentel is correct to say that a Failure of Election did not take place, since elections did happen in Maguindanao. This is purely a failure of Comelec.

Still, Anna, I would like to give Chiz the benefit of the doubt. On another note about the Senate, the Inquirer reports that Lacson is warning that jockeying for committee chair positions might split opposition. He said,
“What these people [lobbying for chairmanships] don’t seem to understand is that we can be very strong as a solid majority group when united,” Lacson said in a statement. “If we splinter, there is a chance that Malacañang may sneak in as Senate President their appointed one and not who the opposition wants.”
As in the recently unclocluded Senate election, a strong solid hawk eyed watch over Comelec shenanigans, proved that wanton cheating could be limited if not averted or even exposed.
In the same vein, I honestly believe that Lacson, speaking from a military viewpoint, is absolutely dead on! The new Senators and the old timers belonging to the opposition must not waste this opportunity to lodge a united front against Gloria and her cabal of evil.

One thing that the good leaders of Japan did after the war is recognize the Communist Party of Japan as they believed that no Japanese should be deprived of having the opportunity to rebuild Japan from the rubbles of the war on the presumption that regardless of their political and religious beliefs, deep inside, they are all Japanese, in and out, and subject to one and the same emperor!
There definitely were some opposition from the Americans on this decision to include the Japanese communists in the rebuilding of Japan, but the leaders of Japan were definitely determined to make all Japanese feel appreciated and encouraged to “bear the unbearable” in rebuilding their country especially with a lot of these Japanese communists actually repatriates from the former USSR where they were forced to seek asylum during the purge before WWII.
Although, I, myself, have no intention of joining the Communist Party in Japan, I do not see any reason why the leftists and communists should be barred from participating in the running of their government. In fact, the communists over here have proved themselves useful in preventing abusive officials from staying in power and their corrupt activities left unchecked.

Zubiri is only 13th place, and this fact is as clear as the cloudless sky.
He may gain more by conceding as people will always remember such gallant gesture, and if he proves to be really sincere, he may get another chance and similar patronage in the next Senatorial election as that accorded Honasan, who is in fact considered now as balimbing and disappointingly a Hudas.
If Zubiri, however, nsists that he has won the election, he can bet his bottom dollar that people will look at all his acts and efforts as suspicious and will render himself useless and a nuisance.
He should not allow himself to be part of this dayaan and be derided as “Senator Daya” all throughout his tenure of office. Dapat sa mga ungas na iyang nagpapakamatay na lang!

Best thing really is to abolish the Comelec and not just sacked the commissioners there but jail them all for being part and parcel of this cheating machinery. The mastermind or masterminds should also not be allowed to escape legal responsibility for all these cheatings even in 2004.

Hey Guys and Gals, just wanted to update everyone regarding the story of the Maguindanao Whistleblower who was shot dead on Saturday Evening.

Furthermore, the hearing that is going on today with regards to the Maguindanao votes and the questioning of the municipal officials, local officials, as well as Lintang Bedol is a closed door session.
Meaning that we will have to take Comelec for their word when they come out with their explanation and their decision whether or not to hold a special elections.
That’s right folks, we’re supposed to trust the Comelec, because apparently not even media is allowed to cover the closed door session.
News Update:
Comelec district supervisor, Musa Dimasidsing, the whistleblower who came out and exposed the wholesale cheating in Maguindanao, as well as confirmed the numerous allegations by other teachers who witnessed the cheating, was gunned down last Saturday night at an Islamic School by unidentified men.
[Dimasidsing] exposed alleged electoral fraud in Pagalungan, Maguindanao. Chief Supt. Felizardo Serapio Jr., Central Mindanao police director, said Dimasidsing died of gunshot wounds to the face and chest.
Also,
Comelec called upon local officials as well as municipal officers, including Lintang Bedol to explain the Maguindanao anomalies. This hearing is apparently being done in a closed session and without media as well.
We are apparently supposed to trust the Comelec that it will get to the bottom of the situation and decide whether or not to hold a special elections.
What an excellent way to explain without really giving away what really happened… all they had to do was just hold a closed door session, so that all the information we have comes from the mouth of Comelec itself.

The Conflicting TU/Comelec arguments:
1.Maguindanao votes should not be set aside as it will disenfranchise the voters.
2.GO candidates got zero votes because of the Muslim culture of block voting, aka “command votes”.
The purpose of an election is to have each voter choose his candidate to vote for – the essence of a true democracy.
Is there a democracy in block voting as promoted by groups like the Muslims, EL Shaddai and INC?
Worse, this is done with the consent of the Comelec and system as a whole?
By not counting the Maguindanao votes, are we really disenfranchising them or they already have disenfranchised themselves in the first place by listening to the dictates of their leaders?
Everyone got the suprise of their life when the COMELEC Provincial elections supervisor Lintang Bedol claims that the certificates of canvass (COCs) in Maguindanao elections had been stolen.
The COMELEC Commissioners en banc can easily get the answer from Lintang Bedol, with the script like this:

Sampot, Although block voting may have occurred, it was not a 100% assurance, only because other provinces tried to do the same thing, but did not result in zero votes for 19 candidates.
Although TU/Comelec may try to use that excuse, it falls flat on its face because similar cases, have never resulted in such an improbability.

I believe that’s what Malacanang and Bedol described as command votes which, if I’m prepared to accept isn’t bad in itself provided the voters didn’t sell their votes or didn’t fall for the intimidation tactics of their so-called leaders. If on the other hand, the voters did give up their votes in exchange for a few pesos as has been reported by the press, then your opinion that the voters have disenfranchised themslves hold and in that eventuality, they should lose the right to vote!
The “dictates” i’m referring to above is not merely verbal instructions or commands but a whole menu of intimidation and brainwashing.
During the first half of the 90’s I’ve gone to Lanao Norte & Sur, Zamboanga Norte & Sur… and one thing i’ve noticed – a major portion of the national highway between Pagadian to Ipil to Zamboanga City were not paved, and it looked like you’re in a different world. I even exclaimed “Is this the 17th century?” And that is no superlative.
While the leaders of these Muslim communities may be right in launching rebellion in the 70s and until today, it is absolutely wrong to deny these people basic infrastructures and services. Sabi kasi ng mga tagaroon, anything that is to be constructed in these areas, kailangan may “lagay”.
Funny thing happened during the DPWH stint of Datumanong when 80 or so instant bridges were constructed in these areas so much so that one ended up in the middle of a rice field.
The leaders of these Muslim communities benefited from every government, then and now, at the cost of their own kind.

The Solutions?
1. Either eliminate the corrupt leaders or create a Sultanate; or
2. Elections in Muslim Areas should be held 30 days prior to National Elections to eliminate that “flexible swing vote”;
The solutions above are not mine. I think the most effective would be education and integration thru the elimination of religion itself.
Religion, to me, is the root cause of all divisiveness amongst the peoples of this world. Morality does not necessitate a belief of a supreme being. The survival of humanity as a whole hangs in the balance of respect towards others.
