The Concerned Citizens Group and Kontra-Daya are not putting their guard down. Not until the 12 ,whom the people truly voted for the Senate, have been proclaimed.
Yesterday, they held a mass outside the PICC, where the national canvassing is being held.
Last Wednesday, they held a rally outside the PICC. There was a scuffle at the start of the rally when the police hosed down the rallyists.

Tribune reports, “France appealed to the Philippine government to sign and ratify an international treaty on forced disappearances in view of the pending assistance of local authorities by human rights experts from Europe in solving the unabated political killings in the country.
“French Ambassador to the Philippines Gerard Chesnel yesterday stressed the need for all democratic governments to support the treaty on disappearances, which will criminalize and put an end to rampant state-sanctioned abductions.”

It seems to me that abroad where there are police trained in tactics and only hose down when demonstrators are getting out of hand, here its the opposite when the hosing is done when the police are getting out of hand.
In fact the protest groups should not be detered but they should be encouraged to find extra ways to express silent demonstrations – the mere fact that they are silent put the PNP in bad light when the police turn violent for no reason.
I appaud these silent demonstrations.

The hosing down happened while the group was still assembling at about 1:30 p.m.There was no media yet.I didn’t witness it because I came late. When I arrived I saw the CCG (Concerned Citizens Group) members like Bebu Bulchen, Marily Orosa and Pong Querubin wet.
But I saw tthe firetruck there. I asked Col. Valerio of the PNP why they hosed down the rallyists. He said the rallyists were hurting the policemen. I asked him to bring me to the policemen who were hurt so I can interview them. He couldn’t tell which one. He said no one was brought to the hospital.
In today’s issue of Abante- sabi ni Apostol Malacanang spokesman na maymangyayari pa sa 2.5 million votes. It seems to me that parami nang parami ang ibibilangin pa. Walang katapusan kaya hindi ma iproclaim ang winners. In the meantime NAMFREL had counted 85% of the votes. Is Abalos recycling the ERs and COCs? Who will proclaim the winners- yong itataas ang kanilang kamay? Si Abalos ba? I would love to see his face when he proclaims Cayetano and Trillanes. Another Look of the Year. As of yesterday, 93 percent of the votes have already been canvassed. The 2.5 million that Abalos talks about are registered voters. Not all voted. Comelec says voters’ turnout was 75 per cent. Namfrel said 55 per cent. Nobody is sure right now but definitely , what’s left is a little over a million.
If the remaining votes follow the pattern in other parts of Mindanao, it would still be for the advantage of GO. Even if it goes for TU, the advantage would not be enough to overturn the current standing of winners.
The most important is that, the manufactured votes of Maguindanao should be nullified.

As of the latest count of Comelec with almost 94 per cent of the votes canvassed (june 1,12 noon) Trillanes with 10,468,569 is ahead of Zubiri by 451,057 votes.
Pimentel is ahead of Zubiri by 219,017,512.
As they try to recanvass questionable COCs, Trillanes and Pimentel’s lead over Zubiri increases.
I don’t know what tricks Evardone, German, Claudio and Albano are thinking to justify the millions (maybe billions) of pesos that failed to bring their candidates to victory.

Comelec chief Abalos’ slow count will be for Guinness World record. It’s almost 3 weeks and still counting. There’s lot of thing happens (hocus focus) in 3 weeks. A normal incubation process, chicken eggs hatch in 21 days. In 45 days, the broiler chicken will be ready for slaughter. Baka mangitlog pa ito wala pang nangyari sa bilangan. Ganoon katagal ang bilangan sa Comelec. Huwag ng pilitin isingit sina Zuburi, Recto at Pichay. Tapos na ang boksing. Talo ang mga TUTA.

But I also sympathize with many of the policemen there. Many of them sympathize with the rallyists. In fact some of them told one of Trillanes’ campaign leaders who was wearing ‘Trillanes for senator t-shirt’, “Sir ,binoto po namin siya.”

I believe that the men in uniform actually helped secure the votes for Trillianes as well. They also encouraged their families and friends to vote for him. But his position is still threatened.

I don’t know what will happen if they count the manufactured Maguindanao votes. I don’t know if the people will accept that because that would really affect the standing of Trillanes and Pimentel.
Vigilance is the key word… And sustaining that vigilance is important… I heard Abalos say in one of the media interviews, when asked about the date of the proclamation, ‘definitely before June 30’.. But, I think the overall statement coming from him is that maybe, one more week…

ONLY six provincial certificates of canvass (COCs) representing an estimated two million votes stand in the way of the proclamation of 12 new senators.
As of Saturday, the COCs from Sultan Kudarat, Basilan, Lanao del Norte, Lanao del Sur and Surigao del Norte had yet to arrive at the national canvassing center at the Philippine International Convention Center.
The two million votes to be counted could determine the winners for the last two places in the Magic 12. About 191,000 votes separate Genuine Opposition’s Aquilino Pimentel III (No. 12 with 10,445,773 votes) from Team Unity’s Miguel Zubiri (No. 13 with 10,254,378 votes) and 400,000 votes from TU’s Ralph Recto (No. 14 with 10,046,284 votes).
GO’s Antonio Trillanes (No. 11 with 10,716,221 votes) leads Zubiri by 461,000 votes and Recto by 670,000 votes.

The two million that Abalos is saying is registered voters. There’s no such thing as 100 voters turnout except in Maguindanao and Cebu, where magic makes voters turnout exceed registered voters.
Anyway,i’ll repeat here what I’ve said in other threads, abalos said 75 per cent voters turnout. Namfrel said 55 per cent. So we are dealing with over a million votes here.
