Let’s not forget that Jonas Burgos is still missing

As we watch and guard our votes closely, let us not forget the other victims of this administration who are crying for justice.

One is Jonas Burgos, 36, the missing son of press freedom icon Jose Burgos, Jr., founder of Malaya and We Forum.

Last Tuesday, Jonas mother, Edith motored to Abucay, Bataan to check if a man found dead last April 29, was his son. Jonas was abducted April 28 by burly men while having lunch at Ever Gotesco in Quezon City.

The Burgos family suspects the military was involved in the abduction of Jonas after the car license plate (TAB 194) which was used in the getaway vehicle was traced to another vehicle that was impounded last year at the 56th Infantry Battalion headquarters in Norzagaray, Bulacan.

When she looked at the pictures, Edith said, “No, this is not my son”.

Even if the dead man was not her son, Edith grieved because, “There must be a mother and wife somewhere who is also looking for a missing son or husband. ”

  1. I hate to say this, Ellen, mukhang hindi na ilalabas si JayJay. May kinalaman ang military. Walang duda diyan. Don’t quote me!”

  3. Gloria should step in – her bunch of uniformed hooligans can very well step up the “research” for the missing young Burgos. I have no doubt that just one word from this horrible pandak creature could make a lot of difference.

So very true.

  6. Many years ago, a Filipina approached me about helping her look for her daughter. She thought I could help make the police move to look for her daughter. When I saw her, I asked her to pray with me, and then all of a sudden I had the inclination to tell her to ask her heart where she could have been and she blurted out, “Don’t tell me she is with my sister!” I told her, “Maybe.” Apparently, she did not do as she was prompted to do, and the days dragged on. I fasted for the girl, and after a week or two praying and fasting together with the mother, the daughter was found. She was in fact with her aunt, the same woman the mother said she could have been.

Edith Burgos should do the same. Ask her heart where her son is. I know God will guide her to him. She should listen hard. I pray for her to be able to do it—find her son!

I think that the Schizoglo lost control of the AFP a long time ago. They will, as usual, deny anything and everything. Again, if we had a professional police service properly trained and equipt there would be no need to wait for an order to investigate, a police investigation would be automatic.

  8. It would be nice to see the new Senators concentrate on the simultaneous shake down of four very corrupt institutions, that is, AFP; PNP; Judicery and the comelec. These are where our problems such as murder; and abduction emulate.

Pwe!
