PGMA to make amajor announcement tomorrow, may 3, 2007 10 a.m., reception Hall of Malacañang. Open to MOC, FOCAO, MOPC.
Malacañang reporters asked Serge Remonde (I don’t know anymore what’s his latest title but he holds office in Malacañang) what is that “major announcement”. Remonde said, “a major investment.”
Ay naku, I thought she is going to resign.
What investment is this creep talking about? The exportation of human organs overseas? Or the bidding of Philippine patrimonies in Japan. Puede ba patalsikin na lang ang ungas na iyan na wala nang ginawang mabuti para sa bansa niya. Pilipino ibinubugaw kahit saan. Hindi na nahiya kaya tuloy kahit saan pumunta ang mga pilipino ngayon, ang tingin mga possible TNT.

I was in Subic the other weekend, it’s still sleepy and unlike when the GIs were still there. Its Koreans that are now all over the base and the resorts.
I noticed that all throughout the trip, it was only Pichay who had his posters displayed on every tree, electric post and sari-sari store from Bulacan all the way to Zambales. I also noticed many buses carrying excursionists with banners suggesting their trips were sponsored by candidates.
I saw the new expressway to Olongapo is still unfinished but all the roads we passed are nice except for one town in Pampanga. Would you believe it was in Gloria’s own town of Lubao that has a portion that was all dirt! I saw that in contrast to the tall white concrete fence of the famous Pineda house along the highway we frequently see on TV and the newspapers.
That happens when you have a corrupt president and the richest gambling lord belonging to the same town, the rot is too visible.

Perhaps the major investment is another Korean project either in LCD Panels or shipbuilding.
Or a Chinese project in Power Generation or dam construction.
Or a new Australian or Canadian mining venture.

The major investment Arroyo is talking about,has to do with the involvement of USA.The U.S.Marine base in Okinawa are moving out from Japan and Guam is too small to accommodate the whole unit and Philippines is the alternative,either in Mindanao or the former U.S.Naval Base in Subic.

It’s a repeat of over-priced North Rail Project and IMPSA $14 M bribery deal.

Its still fresh in my mind how this credit-grabbing miniscule she-devil stole the show from Mar Roxas who worked his butts off just to get UPS to open a hub in Clark Air Base. At the time, she won’t give authority to DPWH or DOTC or from her own contingency fund that runs in billions for fresh money needed to re-pave the Clark runway. Feeling that the deal was fast slipping away, that, after UPS made clear that they won’t land their planes on that bumpy stretch and that they may just take their business elsewhere, Mar Roxas used the funds of DTI to rebuild the airport, using up about P300M that could have gone to trade promotion.
Well, Roxas saved the day and UPS now operates a Major Hub out of Clark. But Gloria was there to inaugurate both the airport and UPS’ offices, took full credit for the accomplishment and even named the airport after the “poor man from Lubao” (who retired in Forbes Park). Mar Roxas was nowhere to be found.
