Now everybody is saying that Crispin Beltran of the Anak Pawis party list and Antonio Trillanes IV of the Genuine Opposition should be released because former Senator Gregorio Honasan, independent candidate for senator, has been released.
All three have been accused of attempting to oust Gloria Arroyo from her fake presidency.
Even Joker Arroyo, Team Unity candidate is saying it. Only two months ago, he said he decided to join Gloria Arroyo’s ticket because the opposition had a coup plotter, referring to Trillanes, in its ticket.
Good. If Beltran and Trillanes are released, the court should also order the release of the 28 officers facing mutiny charges.
The 28 officers led by Maj. Gen. Renato Miranda, Brig. Gen. Danny Lim, Col. Ariel Querubin, Col. Orlando de Leon, Col. Januario Caringal, Lt. Col. Custodio Parcon, Lt. Col. Achilles Segumallian, Lt. Col. Nestor Flordeliza, and Lt. Col. Edmundo Malabanjot, have been accused of planning to withdraw support from Arroyo’s bogus presidency in February 2006.
Except for Colonel Caringal, who is in the hospital, all officers are languishing in their detention center in Camp Capinpin, Tanay, Rizal. This is despite the fact that the pre-trial investigation report on the Feb. 2006 incident recommended dismissal of mutiny charges.
There are several petitions filed with the Supreme Court to stop the court martial scheduled on Friday, April 27. The officers and their family members are praying for a temporary restraining order.
Also, since the Arroyo government is so kind to Honasan, who was accused of inspiring the young Magdalo officers to use dramatic means to expose corruption in the military and other sinister plans of Arroyo and her favorite officials, they should also release the rest of the Magdalo officers who have been in detention for almost four years.

The more I listened to Honasan in his TV interviews, the more I believe he struck a deal with Malacañang for his release. No amount of “No deal” denials will erase people’s suspicions.
I don’t believe he will replace any of the candidates in Team GMA. That’s too obvious. He will be siding with Arroyo, together with his mentor Sen. Juan Ponce Enrile, when he gets back to the Senate. If there’s going to be an impeachment trial against Arroyo, you can be sure that Honasan will be on the side of those who will oppose it.
But first, Honasan needs Malacañang to ensure that he doesn’t get pushed out of the Magic 12.
The latest SWS survey puts Honasan in a precarious position of 11-13. Honasan knows very well how effective a call from Malacañang to Comelec can ensure that he is not pushed out of the Magic 12 again just like what happened in 2001 when the turtle votes of Ralph Recto caused him to drop to number 13. That’s why he served only the remaining three years left by Teofisto Guingona who became vice president.
All those coup attempts attributed to him, for which he is now apologizing, is the reason why he is in the Magic 12. People like persons who make a courageous stand against Arroyo. But if he wins because of that perception, he will be supporting Arroyo. That’s despicable.
Asked about “Hello Garci” tapes and questions about Arroyo’ legitimacy, Honasan, who was a member of FPJ’s campaign team in 2004, said he is no longer sure that Arroyo cheated. “Hindi ako handa sabihin na nandaya si Arroyo. Quiet ako doon until makita ko ang ebidensya. Unfair kay Pangulong Arroyo.”

I don’t know if the report that Chavit is fuming mad about the revelation made by Mike Defensor that he is being replaced by Honasan, who must be reading this blog indeed for him to try to be careful not to reveal who is really his patron now.
I have no doubt that Enrile has something to do with his release who must have wanted him out although there is none of the asterisks after his name that would make the voters wary of voting for him the way COMELEC must have wanted to give the impression that even when Sonny Trillanes is elected by the people, they will not allow Trillanes to cast his vote for the impeachment of Abalos’ lord and mistress as in master (babae kasi).
The SC has ruled that Cayetano is not going to be disqualified as stated in the ballots sent to the overseas absentee voters even though a lot many have not received theirs yet which is a reflection indeed of the inefficiency of the registration system of the COMELEC plus the incompetence, inefficiency and negligence of the commissioners and staff there especially under this bogus administration of a master criminal. Regarding Crispin Beltran.
There’s a clamor from TU camp (pampa pogi points) to release Beltran in time for the Labor Day celebration sa Mayo Uno. Sabi pa ng husband ni Vilma Santos, nakakaawa naman dahil lolo na at may sakit pa. Pa-drama effect pa ang kumag. It was also bruited that Mrs. Arroyo will announce a bonanza (mga boooo ang ganti rito), for the labor sector. Mababasa natin ang mensahe niya bilang pagbati sa Labor Day, the usual lines. Tiyak na uulitin na naman ang paglakas ng peso, tagumpay kuno sa paglaban sa kahirapan dahil sa patuloy na gumagandang ekonomiya, etc. etc. Sana sabihin niya ito sa harap ng mga manggagawa na tiyak dadagsa sa selebrasyon. Pero sampo laban sa wala, hindi siya dadalo sa okasyon kung gagawin sa labas ng Malakanyang.
As we are aware, Crispin Beltran is a Congressman under the Partylist. Sa mga gusto nating malaman tungkol sa partylist, we have the provisions of Republic Act 7941 (the Partylist System Act) to answer it. The partylist representation aims to give marginalized sectors a voice in Congress. The raging controversy now is about Comelec’s stand not to allow the accredited partylist groups to reveal their nominees.
I was so naive not to see the angle of tiyanak in releasing Honasan. I thought that somehow the courts were finally waking up. After his interview and after he said he was not sure whether or not the tiyanak cheated, Honasan’s real color came out. To save his ass from being in prison, he has to sell his soul to the tiyanak. The little respect I had left for him just vanished. One bad deed just wiped out the rest of the 9 good deeds. Most of the voters and the Filipinos as a whole must be feeling and thinking the same way I do. THIS IS TRULY THE KISS OF DEATH FOR HIS POLITICAL CAREER and everything else he will do thereafter. He would have done better if he did not strike a “DEAL” with the tiyanak before the elections. NOW HE IS OFICIALLY A TRAPO!!!
Off topic: A thought came to my mind that Julia Campbell may just be another victim of a foul play. She was a very smart woman, a journalist and maybe an “asset” to the US. I agree with a comment above that maybe the supposed “villain” is now dead, put away by the same “serial killers”. Maybe Julia knew so much more than teaching children and helping us Filipinos. She knew more than she should have and it cost her life!

Malacañang and its aides no longer bother to hide their blatant bribes and vote buys, in connection with the electoral race, where money and other administration “goodies” are offered in exchange for a Team Unity (TU) sweep.
The latest Palace aide to “buy” the so-called command votes is the Justice secretary, Raul Gonzalez, who was reported by GMA radio dzBB as having offered yesterday all the barangay captains in Iloilo, Gonzalez’s claimed bailiwick, P10,000 in exchange for the a TU clean sweep.
Gonzalez also stated in the same radio station Monday that he will be shouldering the expenses for the scheduled May 10 grand rally for the TU senatorial bets in Iloilo.
Buying votes is a criminal electoral offense, but Gonzalez claimed that no offense has been committed with his offer, since he is using his own money, not public funds.
Gonzalez’s Statement of Assets and Liabilities (SAL) has not been made public.

Gov’t caves in to calls for Beltran’s release

The Arroyo administration will no longer block any move by Anakpawis party-list Rep. Crispin Beltran to be temporarily released through bail.
This was confirmed yesterday by National Security Adviser Norberto Gonzales in a text message, hours after the security cluster held a closed-door meeting in Malacañang.
The security chief, when asked if it is true that they assured Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) representatives that the government will not stop Beltran’s release through bail, replied in a text message to reporters, “Yes, but the courts will decide.”
Gonzales, however, failed to elaborate if Beltran’s case was discussed in the security cluster meeting.
Reports said Beltran is scheduled to file a petition for bail anytime this week.
The IPU earlier questioned the detention of Beltran and also conducted an independent inquiry into the series of political killings in the country.

Trillanes can and will eradicate corruption together with Lacson,I am on their crusade against it. Graft and corruption has always been commonplace throughout the government, from a traffic policemen to Generals, from the barrio captain to the presidential palace. I found it myself on several occasions, found access made it possible to process important papers by “tips” to a municipal clerk to typed the paper quickly and not to be back for the next day, worth two days of her government salary. I became a “tong” system victim on a traffic violation driving in Manila suburbs while I was unaware of if, I really violated any traffic rules, whereby, a motorcycle cop who has a fat belly collected his three days salary on me, and also a jeepney driver ahead of me, He lost his boundary. I heard an story that a firemen attending some of the major fire would not connect their hose until the owner of the burning building made an arrangement.
Graft and Corruption has always been a problem in our country,it has become more widespread as poverty has bitten deeper. It is a way of life. Such practices are difficult to control and perhaps it is now possible if Trillanes and Lacson come up on their promises.
There is nothing to compare the tough talking sincerity of Trillanies with the hollowness of Gregaro Honasan.
Observing the news clips of Honasan’s release he looked nervous, timid and exhausted to the extent of being a spent force looking for an easy way out!
There’s no doubt in my mind that he, Honasan is ready to follow the leader and speak with fork tonge. Whereas the opposite is that of Trillanes who says the same words he spoke in 2003 that he says now in 2007 and spells it out against the Arroyo Administration without fear of favour. Trilllanes is proving to be the Genuine article.

I was one of those that gave Honasan the benefit of the doubt. But now that he got out on bail under questionable merits and had openly uttered that he doubted Arroyo’s election cheating, his real color came out! There is no doubt in my mind that he was just after his welfare(just like the ASO), nothing else. Actually his release from jail and his utterances thereafter will hurt him more than help him unless the tiyanak will also cheat for him this time because tiyanak knows that she has Honasan by his balls.
Never liked Honasan. A desk soldier whose claim to fame is all that is dubious.

Easy to have physical courage, even my little tiny dog has more physical courage than a bull mastiff but the real test of a man is his ability to walk the talk, i.e., INSEPARABLE MORAL & PHYSICAL COURAGE.
Sadly, many of our politicians don’t possess the latter; on that score, they’re only half men.

As for my calling on Tongue T for his opinion on Honasan, it has nothing to do with UP or nationhood. It was a question to someone who had written much about Honasan and tried to justify Honsan. I thought he must have felt sorry he did. Huwag kang masyadong malisyoso. Ipinapakita mo lang na mas masahol ka sa mga tsismoso at tsismosang ibinibintang mo sa mga UP grads.

Nakakatawa talaga iyong aso ng mother ko. He was given to her by my father to keep her company. When we left for the US, hindi nakasama for some reason. The next we heard, may nag-petnap (as in kidnap) daw. Siguro ginawang pulutan ng mga kapampangan! 😛
