“Twenty-Five Chickens and a Pig for A Bride: Growing Up
in a Filipino Immigrant Family”. This title of the book really caught my eyes. This book might be a bit fun to read. Imagine a dowry of 25 chickens and a pig only. Holy cow!!!! The question is how does this non-filipino race cope up with the culture and tradition of Filipinos like eating bagoongs, tuyo, kilawen or even using tabo to take a bath even there’s a tub and a shower already?
Wala ako sa LA kaya hindi ako interesado. Ilan ba sa atin dito sa blog ang nasa LA. Huwag naman may magalit pero parang hindi yata angkop ang ganitong tema na gawing topic. Opinion ko lang. Huwag naman akong paluin. Hindi ko kasi alam kung paano ako sasagot dito dahil wala ako sa LA.

Ang sinabi naman sa itaas ay para sa mga tiga-LA kund interesado sila sa book launching. Di magkuwento ka na lang about Filipino quality of life. 🙂
Basta ayaw ko ng LA. Sabihin mo kay Ate Ellen na palitan ang topic. Kung hindi ay hindi ako sasali dito. Sana man lang ay Beijing Event.
Darating din yan Beijing event mo. Diyan yata gaganapin ang 2008 olympic. Siguradong maganda.
Salamat pero sa isang taon pa iyan. Alam mo ba na nagreserba na ako ng VIP tickets para sa mga paborito kong sport events? Ikaw at kung sino man dito ang gustong pumunta sa Beijing Olympic, sabihin lang sa akin at bibigyan ko ng mga tickets. Kapag nasa mood ako, baka pati plane ticket at hotel sasagutin ko. Ang hindi lang puwede sina Benigno at Antonio Iskalia. Bahala sila kung pupunta sila. Sa airport na lang, pahihirapan na namin iyan. Malakas ako sa Chinese airport officials.
