Despite obvious indications that Joselito Pepito Cayetano is a nuisance candidate out to ruin all “Cayetano” votes for Alan Peter Cayetano, Comelec Chairman Benjamin Abalos said they cannot disqualify the former because he was sponsored by a Comelec-registered party, Kilusan ng Bagong Lipunan.
Alan didn’t mince words and attributed to Mike Arroyo the dirty tricks.
The Malacañang connection is bolstered by the statement by presidential legal counsel Sergio Apostol that between Joselito and Alan, it could even be Alan who is a nuisance candidate because Joselito filed ahead of Alan.
It will be recalled that Mike Arroyo tried but failed to have Alan Peter expelled from the House of Representatives for exposing that there’s a multi-million dollar deposit in a German bank that is connected with the Arroyos.
The signs that Joselito Pepito Cayetano is a nuisance candidate:
1. His name is Joselito but he listed his nickname as “Peter”.He was accompanied by lawyer Oliver Lozano when he filed his COC last Sunday. Since then, he is not available for interview. He is reportedly a marine engineer from Davao.
Lozano, who is known as a tool of the Arroyos, said in any media interview with Joselito, he has to be accompanied by a lawyer. Isn’t that strange for a senatorial candidate?
2. Cayetano said initial investigation in Davao showed that a barangay captain put up a bvanner at Sasa wharf, “We support Joe Cayetano”.
Joselito’s place of residence is a property of the Philippine Coast Guard. Neighbors declined to be interviewed. They said he left the place two weeks ago and he has not been heard since then.
If the issue between this mysterious Joselinto and Alan peter is not resolved, all “Cayetano” votes will be invalidated.
Cayetano said it’s sad that this legitimate opportunity for the Filipino people to express their choice of leaders peacefully is being frustrated by some powerful people.

Why do I mention that fact? Because it shows to all the world the kind of low appreciation the government has for the civil liberties of our people. AS the chief executive of the land, Gloria cannot but be faulted for tolerating such things to happen.
If that’s the kind of philosophy of government that Joker wants to support, I am sorry for our people.

Moral and Constitutional duty to bring the nation’s enemies to justice
Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo addressed the 2006 graduating batch of the Philippine National Police Academy with the same warning she used in her speech to the PMA, “…if anyone thinks military or uniformed adventurism will be applauded and embraced by the people or the world, they are wrong.”
Arroyo added, “We cannot keep sweeping disloyalty under the rug.”
The diminutive pugilist that Arroyo is simply quite extraordinary. No other leader with self-respect would utter those lines without feeling a pang of guilt except for Gloria.
How could this woman – aided and abetted by her power and money hungry husband and equally evil half – who plotted the downfall of Estrada with the civil society, with the clerics and with the military top brass for more than a year culminating in the so-called Edsa 2 People Power breach of the Constitution begin to utter these remarkable words which are usually reserved for legitimate, Constitutionally mandated leaders of democratic nations?
She, who continues to bring down the country’s democratic processes by all means to keep her in power should have the gall to utter these admonitions is absolutely beyond me.
Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo did say something sensible and worth pondering on: “We cannot keep sweeping disloyalty under the rug.” It is the only demand that our new military and police officers should keep in mind because all other pronouncement that Gloria made at both the PNP Academy and the PMA are nothing but outright rubbish.
These new officers must remember their oath is to serve the Republic, to protect the people and to act as guarantors of peace in our Republic. They must remember that their allegiance is to the nation first and foremost; that their uniform is the symbol of their adherence to the moral tenet that they must protect the Republic from the enemies from within and beyond.
Their loyalty must lie NOT in Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, who defiled the military and police institutions by continuing to corrupt their ranks but their loyalty must be reserved for the Republic, its people and its insititutions.
In this context, our new officers must remember that they are not only trained to fight these enemies but also to lead their men in combatting all foes of the nation. They mustn’t allow Gloria Macapagal-Arrroyo, her promises and her demagoguery to keep them from honoring their oath as there is no greater honor for an officer of the military institution than to pledge his/her loyalty to the greater service of the Republic.
The enemies of the State are not its people. The number one enemy of the Republic and its people is Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. The other foes of the State are her mutinous cabal of generals, and politicians who helped her and continue to aid and abett her in prostituting our nation’s democracy. They must be identified and must stand side by side with the nation’s line up of petty bandits and hardened criminals who proliferate in our cities and our villages.
Our new officers in uniform must NOT FORGET that it is their sworn moral and Constitutional duty to apprehend and bring the nation’s enemies to justice to be convicted and punished so that our nation can regain its honor and move on.
Panic mode na si Unano whose dirty tricks are aimed not only at the opposition candidates but also at personalities opposing her and her man Pidal since forever!

By their recent pronouncements and press releases, members of this Gloria Macapagal-led administration that includes her military’s not quite able generals are themselves propagating strong dissent and challenging the Filipinos and the dissatisfied factions in the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) to stage an armed revolt.
By their reckless actions, idiotic utterings in public and other treasonous activities, they themselves have started destabilization moves against the already unstable Republic of the Philippines.
The nation should come to its senses! Can’t the people see that their very own government has just threatened to utterly destroy an already very wobbly republic?
The media should and must continue to expose the ineptitude of Mike Defensor, Press Secretary Bunye, Justice Secretary Raul Gonzalez, AFP Chief of Staff Gen. Generoso Senga and their pronouncements as irrefutable form of destabilization moves. Their motive is evident — they want to divide and conquer.
The Tribune, its equally courageous but sadly few broadsheet colleagues in media and with the help of the few sensible people left in the country today (what with over eight million or so Pinoys, Pinays of better caliber having left the country) should continue to train its guns on this extremely corrupt government before its leader transforms the country into another Rwanda!

Now you know. For six weeks, Senators Ralph Recto and Joker Arroyo kept Senate President Manuel Villar Jr. and detained President Erap waiting and hanging.
Now, the story is out that during the month of January, Senator Recto got P150 million in “pork barrel” for Batangas released and another P150 million for other parts of the country. What a sharp cookie. He certainly put one over Manny Villar and Kiko Pangilinan, keeping them hanging while negotiating terms with GMA.
Joker Arroyo said one reason he can’t join the UNO was that the opposition coalition included Lt./SG Sonny Trillanes IV, a rebel, in its slate. But the fact is, Joker had joined Team GMA before UNO even announced Trillanes. What a shallow alibi.

I met her last, a couple of years ago at Intercon.
She was a ridiculous sight to behold (she got out of her long white limmo) with her flowing chiffon-looking scarf that had lots of purple and orange flowery and bamboo motif on it – ugly; her ostentatious get up included a white satin type of pant-suit or what seemed to me as pant-suit type of long skirt which in reality looked like the suit of Harlequin of the opera fame; the shirt was of the same fabric but had some cheap looking beads encrusted on the round neckline; sleeves were cut off above the elbow showing a protrusion that seemed like a healthy boil (pigsa); colours abounded on her, including on her long, very long vampire-like nails painted with moon effect, her toe nails were same.
Her face was bloated and her weired hairdo gave her already bloated face a distinct aura to it – like the bottom of white arinola.
Anyway, she didn’t remember me at all but we shook hands when I was introduced to her – after the usual chit-chat, her comment on my appearance:

As I’m in the China topic, you guys won’t believe the cost of investing in China. Forty plus thousands of acres (I don’t know how that converts to hectares) of bamboo plantation and a huge 3-building paper mill complex employing about 1,200 people costs 39.2% cheaper in terms of initial capital outlay if the same were made in the Phils. Operating it even costs much less at 62.5% cheaper (utilities+labor+materials) if compared to the Phils. No wonder all businesses are headed towards China.
