Amidst tension in Makati, Local Government Undersecretary Wencelito Andanar served the suspension order on Makati Mayor Binay, his vice mayor and all the 16 councilors at about 6 a.m.
They have designated Rodolfo Ferraren, official of the national capital region, as officer-in-charge.
Binay refused to personally receive the suspension order. Andanar merely pasted it in front of the City Hall.
Binay’s suspension, which stemmed from allegations filed by Vice Mayor Roberto Brillantes that he employed ghost employees, comes after the suspension of Pasay Mayor Peewee Trinidad and his vice mayor. Both Binay and Trinidad are with the opposition.
Binay, who is in military fatigues, said they have filed a petition before the Court of Appeals. He further said he will not vacate the Makati City Hall.
Makati City Hall was surrounded by Philippine National Police. A text from a Binay supporter said,”We protest the Gestapo style of serving suspension of Binay. All opposition mayors will be removed. Stand before Ninoy statue and know that you are not alone. May God help us.”
The hands of the Bansot are working for all these suspension of Metro Manila mayors. The filipinos are now greatly challenged by the illegal activities of the lilliputan lady in malacanang. 1. I’m still hoping that this suspension being implemented by the DILG to all Makati officials is in accordance with Law. Sana. If not, then that would be an important battle to fight for by Filipinos.
2. Hanggat maaari huwag sana nating ikumpara ang “dami” ng suspension na inihahain sa opposisyon at administrasyon. Ang dapat nating bigyan ng halaga ay – kung ang mga suspensions na ito ay ayon sa batas and with enough evidences to be implemented. Be Rational.
3. Dapat din sigurong alamin nating mabuti ang isyu bago tayo magsalita, makisali at makialam. Ang mga pangyayaring ito ay di nangangailangan ng “rara” boys and girls. Dapat tandaan na malaya tayong ipahayag ang ating mga opinyon kung ito’y hindi makahahadlang sa kalayaan ng iba. Be Responsible.
It’s like employing conventional warfare tactics to assymetric warfare.
Gloria’s tactics are assymetric – you gotta use similar methods.
Now, formulating those methods used by Gloria won’t be easy. Filipinos don’t know exactly when or where she will strike although from intelligence gathered, we have more or less an idea.
Looking at how it from the way her government has dysfunctionned, it would not be difficult to engage her in political predilections using assymetric warfare.
Gloria has effectively declared war on the Filipiono people and her politics are politics of attrition.
We must face her using those same tactics. If we do so, Gloria’s strategies are bound to fail. Why? Because they stem from lack of moral high ground.
No war succeeds when it is waged on basically immoral ground. Historical example: Hitler’s war. More recently: Bush’s war on Iraq.
Filipinos must meet Gloria head on.

Gloria is like Idi Amin as a matter of fact. I remember there were people praising him despite the carnage that he was doing, and even with evidences of his cannibalism. The Bansot may not have tasted any of the brains of the people she orders killed, but it’s still murder. He actually did the same things the Bansot is doing now until everyone felt so helpless to remove him. Eventually, he was removed by outside forces especially from countries that felt threatened by him.
In the case of Gloria, it may not be the members of JI, etc. who may try to remove her when they feel threatened by her alliance with Australia for example, but the mighty Lord above especially when Filipinos learn once again to call on Him with Filipino children now in danger of growing up in a culture of impunity and immorality—the latest scam apparently is the recruitment of children they cannot send to school either to be deployed overseas as Super Atsay/Atsay or Super Prosties, and if they are fit, to be soldiers to kill her enemies!
I hope I won’t get to hear these children say, “Ma’m buti na hong maging sundalo kesa po patanggal namin ang isa sa mga bato (kidney) namin para po may pambili po ng pagkain at TV!”

This is now a war of attrition. The administration intends to inflict as much damage as it can on the political opposition. Without the Cha-Cha, the moral bansot will certainly lose her seat after the elections. We all know that the oppostion will get at least 80 seats in congress and the entire senate. She needs to destroy the political and civil opposition now. She is trying to buy the Supreme Court’s decision regarding the PI. If the justices are not bought, its definitely her end. JDV and his cohorts in the lower house cannot “revise” the contitution as well. This is a last ditch effort for Malacañang.
This a fight for her survival. Expect the administration to file more case against all oppositionists. The administration is overstretching its lines and something would have to give. They realize this and a political blitzkrieg is what is happening now. They are definitely looking for a break in the opposition lines. But they fail to see a more discerning electorate.
While all these is happening, a stronger grasp of the situation is being developed by the people. We will have a polarized electorate come election time. This is what will finally bring down her presidency.

Just wondering if illegitimate Gloria is now having second thought about suspending Mayor Rambo Binay of Makati? Makati City a local government in accordance with the constitution it is an autonomous local govt. It has supposedly the protection of the National Govt and Malacanang. Makati has its own local rules, regulations and its own local by-laws. Makati as a city is progressing rapidly under the management of Good Mayor Rambo Binay. To what I heard and read from all different sources, Mayor Rambo Binay is an excellent dedicated mayor of Makati. Yet, as he said, his only crime is that his loyalty is with the opposition.
Illegitimate Gloria is jealous of Rambo Binay like a little kid that she is that lost her doll. Rambo Binay is taking away much of the public attention from bogus Gloria which is one of the reason why Gloria wants him out of the way. Mayor Rambo stand tall on Gloria’s path that she couldn’t cope with it emotionally, brat if you will. Especially during her shopping seasons that she couldn’t even go to Makati to do her own things, instead limited in Manila with Atila Atienza. At least, when illegitimate Gloria is in Philippines.

As seen by majority of the OFWs who subscribe to the ABS-CBN Global transmission, the news on TV Patrol Global last Tuesday was the current state of the call centers being boasted by Pandak as gaining local employment. I can only sympathize with the call center agent but customer is always right. Although most of these call center agents are not equipped with technical knowledge for them to explain to the persistent customer, being courteous on the phone must be their top priority. Kahit na anong intimidation ang gawin ng nasa kabilang linya ay cool lang. Iparamdam mo na nakangiti ka pa rin sa kausap mo kahit na gaano kakulit ito.

The last time city mayors, vice-mayors, and councilors were removed wholesale was immediately after EDSA 1. Today’s situation is far from revolutionary, though we hope one is fast coming.
The remaining opposition mayors, JV Ejercito, and Toby Tiangco, are probably losing sleep as they expect that the inevitable may be fast approaching. They know that they could only sleep well 90 days before the start of the campaign period which is sometime December, as law prevents suspension after that date. Now, both have no pending cases, whether civil, criminal, or administrative, but knowing too well how the crime gang by the river works, they cannot be too naive to know that it just takes one jerk among the many to file a case now.
Binay had been foretold of this, in fact, even his nephews have been getting hit by cases here and there. First is the Erap 5, when one of his nephews was picked-up and tortured. The next one, this time the brother, ex-Col. Rey Cabauatan, has been included in the rebellion case filed by NBI three days ago. But knowing Binay, he would not budge without giving up a good fight. His wearing of the Marine uniform says it. And he knows a Marine does not desert his comrades. And the other way around.
It’s no wonder, trucks of soldiers are in Camp Aguinaldo, even Fort Bonifacio is under Red Alert. Don’t believe the crap that it’s because the Abu Sayyaf have claimed to bomb Metro Manila any day soon.

RODOLFO FERAREN, director of the Department of the Interior and Local Government for the National Capital Region, had barely warmed his seat as Makati City’s caretaker executive when a medical team was called.
His blood pressure had shot up due to lack of sleep and stress, the 63-year-old Feraren said minutes after a doctor saw him on the second floor of the old Makati City Hall where he held temporary office.
“I am in good condition. I just need to rest,” he told a press conference.
“Don’t believe that there are two mayors in Makati. I am just the caretaker,” Feraren said, noting that his designation was to ensure that City Hall operations continued in spite of Mayor Jejomar Binay’s 60-day suspension.
But even before office hours began yesterday, the City Hall’s entrances were tightly shut. Only the old building remained open for Feraren and at least 100 policemen who were tasked with looking after him and ensuring that the growing crowd outside stayed calm and organized.
But later in the afternoon, the policemen dozed off on their shields.
Courts, classes shut down
Court hearings in the nearby Hall of Justice were postponed, while classes at the Pio del Pilar High School were also canceled for the day.
Superintendent Jaime Juadines, chief of the Southern Police District Mobile Patrol Unit, was designated as Feraren’s chief of staff.
In an interview with the Inquirer, Juadines said at least 30 policemen were keeping watch over Feraren.
“There are 130 of them but right now they are scattered outside to make sure that peace and order is maintained in the vicinity,” he said.
Juadines witnessed the serving of the suspension order in September against Pasay City Mayor Wenceslao “Peewee” Trinidad, Vice Mayor Antonino Calixto and 10 councilors.
He said that more policemen were mobilized for the Makati operation yesterday, but they did not have to exert too much effort. As the day wore on, there was little sign of the police force armed with truncheons and some with M-16 rifles.
“It looks like Mayor Binay’s supporters know how to abide by the rules,” he said, recalling the standoff at the Pasay City Hall last month that resulted in injuries to a woman and some property destroyed.
3-4 days to leave
Feraren said Binay had at least three to four days to leave his office.
“I know he is a good man,” Feraren said. But if a temporary restraining order were handed down to stop the implementation of Binay’s suspension before the deadline, Feraren said he would relinquish his post immediately.
Vendors took advantage of the roughly 1,500 crowd that trooped to City Hall in support of Binay, selling colorful hats and fans, cold drinks, fruits and fish balls.
Florida, 21, was not only there to cheer Binay on, but to earn thrice her usual daily income from the hamburgers, candies and cigarettes that she usually peddles along Zapote Road.
“My other relatives are also here to sell and earn more. But we are also here to show support to our mayor who has done good things for us,” she told the Inquirer.

The Death of Bonifacio

On May 10, 1897, four days after his trial, Andres Bonifacio and his brother, Procopio, were fetched from their prison by soldiers led by Lazaro Macapagal. They were to be taken to Mt. Tala, where Macapagal would then open a letter of instruction given him by Gen. Mariano Noriel on what to do with his prisoners.
On the way to their destination, the brothers, sensing something tragic would befall them, asked Macapagal if they would be shot. Macapagal denied this. Andres, heavily wounded in his neck and arm, suggested then that Macapagal open the letter, as he was not sure that he could travel the whole distance.
As they neared Mt. Tala and with Mt. Buntis behind them, Macapagal finally opened the letter given him and read aloud the command of the Council of War to shoot the Bonifacio brothers.
Procopio was shot first.
The wounded Andres allegedly ran to the woods, but was eventually found by Macapagal and his soldiers. Macapagal claimed that Bonifacio was shot, and then buried by his men.
Another eyewitness account, however, states that the Supremo was not shot. He was said to have been hacked to death with bolos and bayonets by Macapagal’s soldiers.

I’ve met so many acquaintances who are legitimate Makati residents. They are in unison in praising the administration of Mayor Jojo Binay. The main programs of city government are the free education and health benefits. The Pamantasan ng Makati is the counterpart of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (the brainchild of Mayor Antonio Villegas). Health benefits are extended to residents with valid card-holders.
That is the main reason Mayor Jojo Binay is so loved by his constituents.

SANTIAGO, Chile – Police used water cannons to disperse 2,000 high school students who took to the streets Wednesday demanding that President Michelle Bachelet speed up promised reforms to Chile’s dictatorship-era education law.
Some clashes were in provincial cities and 291 students were arrested nationwide — 237 in Santiago — Deputy Interior Minister Felipe Harboe said. Most were released after police confirmed their identities.
High school students declared a one-day national strike and marched toward an Education Ministry office but were repeatedly blocked by police. The marchers fought running battles with the officers, throwing rocks that damaged several vehicles.
“These marches are a warning to the government,” said Max Mellado, one of the leaders of the movement.
The strike appeared to have ample support Wednesday, but the protests were smaller and less organized than those in May and June that shook Bachelet’s leftist government.
Those protests, joined by up to 700,000 students, ended only after Bachelet agreed to meet most of the students’ demands, including eliminating a fee for a college entry exam for 167,000 students and providing school meals to 200,000.
Bachelet also appointed an advisory panel with 72 members, including students, to review the education law created by the 1973-1990 dictatorship of Gen. Augusto Pinochet. The law transferred responsibility for education to municipalities, which critics say produces a deep gap in funding and education quality between rich and poor regions.
Students have grown impatient with what they consider slow progress toward changing the law. The panel “is good for nothing,” Mellado said.
Bachelet was in Germany on an official visit Wednesday but Education Minister Yasna Provoste said the latest protests are unjustified since the government has done virtually everything it promised the students.
The students also demanded public apologies from authorities after police forcibly removed students who had taken over several schools in Santiago as part of their renewed protest movement.
