Joc Joc to become US investor?

The latest in the case of former Agriculture Undersecretary Jocelyn “Joc Joc” Bolante is that he could be requesting the United States government permission to invest there.

This is what Harry Roque, who filed an amicus brief in the US court opposing the Bolante’s petition for asylum, suspects based on yesterday’s report of ABS-CBN correspondent Ging Reyes who quoted Bolante’s immigration lawyer as saying that the fertilizer scam is “not germane to the immigration relief sought by him.”

Roque said: “This would imply that contrary to earlier reports and popular belief, Bolante may not be asking for asylum. Instead he may be asking for an adjustment of status because of an approved application for immigrant visa, which in any case could only be an investor’s visa.”

Bolante was arrested on July 7 at the Los Angeles airport when he tried to enter the US on a cancelled B1-B2 (business and tourist) visa. He was detained initially at the San Pedro Detention Center in California. He was transferred two weeks ago to the Kenosha Detention Center in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
From the very beginning, Bolante and his family had invoked privacy to prevent media from covering his case. He declined assistance from the Philippine Consulate in Los Angeles and forbade the Department of Foreign Affairs to give out any information about his case.

An immigration officer in LA was quoted to have said that Bolante’s visa was cancelled upon the request of the US Embassy in Manila. Unconfirmed sources said the cancellation had something to do with policy of the US not to make their country a “safe haven” for corrupt personalities.

The presumption that Bolante was seeking asylum was based on reports that he was going to attend hearings on asylum.

Bolante is being sought by the Senate in connection with the investigation by the Committee on Agriculture headed by Sen. Ramon Magsaysay Jr. on the alleged diversion of funds amounting to some P3 billion to the election campaign of Arroyo in 2004.

Roque, who is with the Institute of International Legal Studies in the University of the Philippines, said under US laws aliens may be granted conditional residency by investing $1 million in an employment target area and, consequently, creating jobs for at least 10 people in the area where the investment is made. “This could explain why his lawyer stated that the controversy surrounding him has no relevance to his immigration petition,” he said.

Roque said Bolante’s lawyer is not completely correct. He said: “While the commission of a heinous crime such as plunder and being a fugitive from a Senate warrant of arrest may seem ‘not germane’ to a change in status, US laws still require that he must not suffer from any ‘ground for inadmissibility’.

“Assuming US laws to be the same as Philippine law, the pendency of the criminal complaints and the Senate warrant of arrest which makes him a fugitive should be grounds for inadmissibility.

“Furthermore, Presidential Directive 212 dated January , 2004 issued by President Bush would be a sufficient ground for denial of his immigration relief. The said directive denies the grant of non-immigrant or immigrant visa to individuals found by the State Department to be guilty of “kleptocracy”. This directive, I suspect, is why the US Embassy in Manila ordered the cancellation of Bolante’s visa. The US Embassy has neither admitted nor denied this fact, insisting that ‘it does not comment on individual cases’, Roque said.

Roque further said: “This development would explain why the Arroyo administration has opted to adopt a policy of absolute silence on the Bolante issue. By gagging consular officials from making public the nature of Bolante’s relief, it has facilitated yet another means by which Bolante may evade the wheels of justice here in the Philippines. How? By meanwhile quietly sitting on the criminal complaints pending against him with the Ombudsman. Until charges are actually filed against him before the Sandiganbayan, Bolante’s lawyers can still claim that there are no pending criminal cases in the Philippines against him and thereby proving that he ‘does not suffer from any grounds of inadmissibility’”.

Roque is beginning to see why the Department of Foreign Affairs has not ordered the cancellation of Bolante’s passport despite the warrant of arrest against him unlike in the case of Michael Ray Aquino whose passport was ordered cancelled by the DFA even before any criminal charges were filed against him contrary to the Passport Act.

If his passport is cancelled just like Aquino’s, Bolante would be prevented from seeking a change of status.

Roque said Bolante must be compelled to name who ordered him to disburse the fertilizer funds the way he did. The people should now bring the Ombudsman to task for not acting on the complaints against Bolante in the manner required by the Constitution: expeditiously.

“If Public Prosecutors are deprived of their salaries for their failure to rule on cases within 90 days from date of filing, why should the Ombudsman be treated differently? Worse, why should there be a delay in the resolution of the cases against Bolante when in addition to flight which is an admission of guilt, the fertilizer scam is furthermore fully documented through a COA report and a Senate Report?” he asked.

“The filing of charges against Bolante in the Sandiganbayan is thus far the most effective way to deny Bolante impunity for his criminal and unconstitutional acts in the Philippines. Certainly, it has now become very clear that unless the Ombudsman acts expeditiously on the complaints against him, the conspiracy to accord him impunity now includes this office,” Roque said.

This looks like an intricate strategy to deny the people the truth, which has been Gloria Arroyo’s pre-occupation since it was discovered that she cheated in the 2004 elections.

Kaya nilang lutuin iyan.

  2. Off topic but could be related to the Arroyo’s kleptocracy:

Mike Arroyo left for Germany last night. My info is that “E” also left for London last week. Is there a European rendezvous?

  3. alitaptap alitaptap

Gloria will be ecstatic. She can check in again at St. Luke for the weekend. No problem, except that ang ginagastos nila ay pera ng bayan.

  4. Hopefully, when the issue is too hot to handle, the US Immigration may not grant the requests of JocJoc’s lawyer. Puputi ang uwak bago nila madinggoy ang mga kano especially when granting Bolate’s will give the US further bad image. Kaya tuloy ang pukpok mga kaibigan.

As for the big Mike’s trip to Germany, Cayetano may well be advised to seek the help of Interpol to stop the Fat Guy from trying to influence whoever in Germany to do the dirty tricks for him. It’s the best thing Filipinos wanting to have the truth out can do for the sake of truth and justice.

It’s about time for justice to prevail even with outside help.

A foreign investor who invests from $500,000 to $1M in a U.S. business may be eligible to immigrate to the U.S. based on that investment. Investor visa-holders become eligible to apply for full U.S. citizenship through naturalization process. Investor visa is valid for five years. Joc-Joc Bolante is a lucky guy. He is investing “dirty money” possibly came from P727 million fertilizer scam. How about Pres. Bush’s no safe haven policy? The Office of the Ombudsman is no longer protector of the Filipino people. It’s a big joke. The lady Ombudsman is deliberately delaying the investigation of the multi-million fertilizer scam to protect her master. They have enough documentary evidence and testimonies from COA and Senate to pin down Joc-Joc Bolante and Gloria Arroyo. Jose Pidal’s “seek the truth trip” to Munich, Germany is media stunt. The government should order the Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC) to investigate the alleged Pidal’s $500 M bank account.

  6. myrna myrna

Why Germany of all places, kung walang sadya doon, aside from having a tryst with someone?

  7. Dominique Dominique

    Myrna,

Matagal na siguro nalipat yung pera na yan. I suspect it was opened for the Fraport commission.

  8. goldenlion goldenlion

Talaga, Ellen? Nauna na si “E” as in “Elizabeth” sa Germany? WOW!! naman, buti pa sila. Iba talaga ‘pag mapera, tsk, tsk, tsk. Baka biglang magpa-confine si bansot sa hospital. Siyempre, magagalit siya, magbabasag ng mga basong amoy brandy, magsisigaw, tapos magco-colapse, siyempre on the rescue and wonder boy!!! Napakagandang telenovela!! Ano kayang dapat maging title? “Sa Piling Mo Tiyanak” o “Hanggang sa Dulo ng Germany”?

  9. Goldenlion:

Time for her rejuvenation cure sa St. Luke’s. In on Thursday, out on Saturday.

Iyong asawa kaya?

  10. Iba ang kapiling….hindi G kundi E….

Naku! Kumakalat yang tsismis na yan…
tiyak, mababasa ni glue dahil nagsa-surf siya dito, right?

    Ayos!

May lashingan na naman mamayang gabi!

    Tapos nun, lambingan!!!

    Mwahahahahahahhh!!!

  11. Hmmmmm, possible iyong Fraport commission that may have required payment to be made only on bank to bank in Germany. Ganyan din ang transaction sa mga loans from China, bank to bank payment only in China. So, what the senators and congressmen like Cayetano can do is check also if the bank supposedly in the name of the Philippine Republic is now under the name of the Pidals.

  12. This maybe OT, but
Since we are talking about MONEY, MONEY, MONEY….

    Just thinking…..

THe above can be good topics for discussion.

  13. YUng terminal fee covered ang lahat nun, mapa-Pinoy o foreigner man…..

    May improvements ba naman?

The last time I went there, ganun pa rin: wala pa ring enough lights for the runway….

  14. i think pidal went to germany to supervise the “gathering of evidence” on his innocence. he could have just called long distance or sent a letter to the bank in germany inquiring about the accounts, like lacson did in the citibank case (mas praktikal yung ganon diba?), but i think the guy is afraid na baka may nagwa-wiretap sa telepono niya, at mahuli yung coverup operation ni pidal.

ganyan rin ang nangyari when bolante got into trouble with US customs. takot si pidal na tumawag ng long distance from RP to san francisco dahil baka ma-pick up ng ISAFP (who i believe is monitoring calls from the admin and opposition) ang strategy session nila ni joc joc.

so better be safe (go to SF and coordinate the damage control from there) than sorry (call long distance and risk getting his calls intercepted here).

ISAFP may be pro-Arroyo, but you never know when another vidal doble will break ranks and tell all.

  21. My American friend told me that it would be difficult for Bolate to be granted now an investor’s visa especially with a complaint from the Senate of the Philippines regarding some scam involving some government fund. Whatever money he says he is willing to invest in the USA now will be subject to scrutiny. So, nice try, Mr. Bolate!

All the more reason that we write to the US representative for Chicago, etc. as a group or individual and thereby help Senator Magsaysay, et al in their claim for access to investigate Bolate even in the US. The Senate should have a budget for sending a fact-finding mission to the USA.

  22. artsee artsee

  23. The Americans are not that stupid to be had by the Pidals period, and with the kind of reputation they are having now with many organizations critical of the way the country is being run by them, the Americans are unlikely to connive with them in having the Bolate be free. I doubt that this guy is even going to be giving the privilege to invest in the USA with doubts about where he has gotten his investment.

What is needed is some prodding from the Filipino masa themselves to make the Americans be convinced that this bogus president is bogus. Without the members of this blog for example writing directly to the members of the US Congress and Senate about the real sentiments of the people of the Republic of the Philippines, how will they know if the articles in Philippine newspapers especially with many of them receiving payoffs to write publicity articles for the bogus president, how will the Americans know?

I doubt if the Americans will insist on staying in the Philippines if the Filipinos will not play stupid the way bogus president want them to so she can brag about having the US special favor treatment that Filipinos feel heavenly about even with the kind of image the US has worldwide now because of Bush.

One thing the Filipinos should be careful of likewise is the ties with the Australians. If they would not like to be hated by their fellow Asians, they should not allow the Australians to establish their base in Mindanao.

americans are in the phil to protect american interests. to think otherwise is fallacy. if there is anything we should learn from the americans it is this, i.e., to protect our own interest. our own leaders donot know or care about the country interest. it seems to me they think that their personal interests are synanymous as the country’s.

  26. Just for kicks, I showed the picture of Joc-Joc Bolante to a friend of mine in the Tokyo Police who was detailed to watch over the state visit of the Pandak in 2003 with the Fatso. And he said, “Ara, Arroyo-san no danna-san ja nai ka?!” (My, isn’t that the husband of Mrs. Arroyo?). I said, “No!” but my friend insisted that it was him. I just said, “Hindi, pero magkapareho ng trabaho!”

  28. Ellen:

Just where is the Bolate now? If he is caught in California, I do not see any reason why he should be transferred to Chicago considering the fact that California is nearer to the Philippines than Chicago for easier deportation once his case is decided upon by the INS court.

I doubt if he could have his way since he was not in fact caught after entering the US this time but at the airport in LAX, and his asking for asylum is not even logical and valid. And no way do I believe the Americans would be willing to be used by the creep not even when she uses this as a condition for the release of Bolate in exchange for granting US permission to reestablish a military base in the Philippines.

For all their faults, I doubt that the Americans would be happy to be used by the bogus president of the Philippines especially with various organizations in the USA and Europe criticizing her government’s record on the political killings in the Philippines, including this zoning of suspected NPA sympathizers.

Definitely, none in the US is allowing to be hoodwinked by this creep calling herself president!

  33. Ellen,

Thanks for the info. In other words, they failed to get the special favor for him to be detained in Chicago where he thought he could have an easier way of hoodwinking the Americans! Buti nga! The truth was he could have a better leverage in California with a bosom friend of the Malacanang squatters having clout with the Democrats there, for as you know, despite Arnold, California is dominantly Democrat. Now, with him at Wisconsin, I doubt if he could have his way.

Despite Bush, I still believe somehow in US justice even when it is heywired sometimes. It is not also true that you will have better leverage if you have money. It is more a matter of integrity and faith as a matter of fact than money. I should know. I have friends who have been given justice with nothing but their faith that truth and justice will prevail. At least, I belong to a church with HQ in Utah and people there I can always rely on for help and support.

With some friends, I am planning to write to two orthree Senators I know personally in the US, and plead for the people of the Philippines regarding this case versus Bolate. Then, we know for sure that someone in this list is blogging here not to encourage bloggers here who hate the guts of the bogus president but to discourage and make them feel not just helpless but hopeless.

My friend in another egroup says that these Internet Brigaders are really a pain in the ass. They pretend to be anti-GMA but when it’s time to take action, they back out, and worse try to pull bloggers with them! Ang galing ng tactics.

Ingat! Will pray for your good health always!

  34. Soleil,

I know about the Chinese call girls. They are brought there by their own fellow Chinese–Tsinoys in fact.

My nephew, who has a Chinese stepfather, is an accountant of a hotel owned by a Chinese and he invited me to stay there once when I was in Manila, and boy, did I see those Chinese women plying their wares to Tsinoys, including those in the Philippine Congress, and perhaps the cabinet of Pandak now being dominated by Chinese mestisos!!! Ang papangit naman, maputi nga lang!

BTW, one of my maternal ancestors had Chinese roots from Canton with the family name Ka. I understand from a Chinese friend that they actually do not go along well with the Fukienese. I don’t get along well with those from Beijing but I do have good rapports with Chinese from Shanghai.

My first boyfriend in fact was a Tsinoy born in Shanghai. He was deaf and reason why I can do sign language. I did not marry him, though, because of my family’s opposition to him despite his family’s wealth. They were more concerned about heredity and educational attainment, especially my father, whose Japanese roots were connected to the famous Taira clan.

Fortunately, I married a good Japanese whose ancestors were Samurais from Nagano. My husband’s mother belong to the Zaibatsu that was demolished after WWII. Kaya medyo aristocratic ang dating, but never puffed up!

This is why I am not awed by all these talks of royalty by the Pandak we know is good at lying and stealing!

At saka isa pa, I have a degree in History and Linguistics. All the more reason why I know the pathetic state of historical research in the Philippines para masabi ni Pandak ang mga kalokohang pinagsasabi nila. Otherwise, matagal ko nang narinig ang mga kuwento nila kahit mula kay Greggy Araneta, who is down to earth at walang tililing sa ulo, but never heard!

History nga ng pamilya ng mother ko, sa UK ko pa ni-research, because one of my ancestors came from Lancashire, England. Fortunately, the British have genealogical societies where you can get a lot of help.

I also have a basic knowledge of Mandarin. I can read Chinese in the Japanese context.

Yuko..ang colorful naman ng lineage mo…hahaha…all i knw is that i have anative lolo frm my mom’s side and my lola has a spanish lola who would punish them by kneeling in salt when they are late for the angelus!!! sus ginoo, i would have rebelled n b an outcast..u can consider my dad a refugee as he escaped frm the mainland during Mao’s take over..he was barely 17 and had to do all kinds of menial jobs, kaya we dont have 2 families. kc most of my generations families hav 2 wives ang mga dad nila – 1 family in china and 1 whn they came here..i guess my dad was diff walang bisyo kahit ano doesnt drink, smoke and mahjong as lke 10-20peso rounds during that time. ako ang taga dala ng mga pang meryenda..but bumawi siguro cz we were 12!!! anyhow, yes i agree with u…most of the brothels in chinatown during the 70s were for these tsinoys na mahihilig. kc ba naman, mga chinese girls ay pakiyeme at puro arte..ang pinay ay malambing at diretso in some ways din..kaya instead of having 2 families. minsan may strings of kabit here and there pa. i got to realize these in my teens…my hubby naman is pure chinese frm his father’s side frm xiamen. his mom was born here na in the visayas. but his lolo(his mom;s dad)is 1/4 Japanese frm the north of china adjacent to japan(i forgot the place), ventured south till taiwan and eventually nakarating ng dumaguete.my mom inlaw said they had a samurai sword before but they had to eventually leave everything they had when they had to flee for the mountain during the second WW. my dad naman tasted the war in binondo running as couriers for the guerillas…they were together with henry sy sr then in old carvajal as well as some other old chinese now..but my dad never got to the ranks of the taipans hehehe…he’s a small town guy w/simple dreams for his 12 kids lang was enough…this is why i am never ashame to speak my feelings out or work with dirty hands and go down to my knees to make a decent living. sure there are times that one uses someone but not to the point on stepping at someones dignity just like the dorobos are doing in EK…everybody uses everybody, its jst a matter of how you want to be used or how you will use someone…thats why i say we use our wits, our hearts and our brain to kill these hoodlums, bandits and b.s. group pretending to be the administration running this forsaken country….

At least, when I found out that we came from the Taira Clan, medyo nakaangat ng kaunti sa family line ng husband ko!

Talk of genealogy, it is one of the things we are told to seriously do in our church.

I know of a lot of cases of falsification of documents. At least, dito wala iyan. Meron man, pambihirang-pambihira at nakukulong!

yes artsee…went to uno frm K1 till H2 but sumesemplang na ako sa chinese and i dont want to repeat another year jst for this so decided to find one that will accept me even w/o taking the chinese course. back then, uno was run like martial law na even w/o martial law pa but am still proud 2 have my foundation der..my 2 yr HS frm PCHS and college was a breeze due to the study habits i learned through the years. school and education back then was really more of quality. the books were imported and not puro mimeographed…esp in XS and ICA 🙂 but during my husbands time the books in XS were also the hardbound kind(my husband is XS ’74 or ’75?..my son graudated in XS ’03 and i have a doter nw graduating in ICA..one more to go hu is in Grade6 ICA…it was bec of the promise of the preneed companies that we decided to push thru for them to go to these schools. my son started in Uno as well had their pre-schools in Ongpin…also noon, kahit na sa public school ka nag-aral, may quality din kc may quality ang teachers..sadly now its bec of the teachers, we have low-quality teachers even in the exclusive schools…i have kumares who are taking SPED in preparation for going to the States, while their hubbies are investors they will be teachers daw rather than stay at home moms. we hav several close friends who are base in Australia now, urging us to apply for business visa. i thnk when u say australians are racist, i would think more that people who have this kind of attitude are just ignorant of the fact that we are all the same, its jst a matter of color, features and language that makes all of us different…saang gubat man ay may ahas ika nga…so happen ang ahas natin ay mag-asawang sawa at bulate!!!

error: i meant the mom of my lola would punish my mother to kneel on rock salt when she’s late…my mom stood out in the barrio cz she was the only young girl with fair skin, while his borthers were not too fair cz namana frm my native adoring lolo..
and my husband naman is alwys mistaken for a japanese rather than chinese. my youngest doter is also mistaken for having a japanese father cz when we are togthr, we may have resemblance but my sharp features shows up in contrast with her soft features…
i guess we here who have multi-race/cultural background should be aware that we have best of many worlds…and sadly some negative ones too..but whatever they may be…lets us not forget that we have to kill the our NO 1 ENEMY…THE ENEMY THAT IS PRETENDING TO TAKE CARE OF AN INVALID COUNTRY THAT HAS MANY GREAT POTENTIAL..KILL THE B^$CH IN THE PALACE!!! KILL THE FATGUY AND ROAST HIM ALIVE!!!!

A number is now waiting execution for multiple crimes like murder with robbery, etc. Mga sindikatong connected sa Snakehead Gang.

I think you mean Manchuria which was occupied by Japan when countries like UK, France, Germany and Russia sliced China like some cakes and own the portions alloted them.

I went to China in 1988 on a tour. 40 years behind time ang impression ko daig pa ang Pilipinas as a matter of fact sa ka-backwardan.

We went on a tour to the Great Walls. Iyon pala iyong kobeta kasi walang pintuan. Iyong payong ang pangtakip! Promised myself di na ako babalik! 😛 Been to Hong Kong twice, too. Nabahuan ako. Pero siguro sanayan lang ng ilong!

My husband said it is much improved now especially with the coming Olympics. Ang laki ng abuloy ng Japan diyan as a matter of fact.

ur son must be very proud as well as u :-)…totoo talaga…ang pilipino never taught to love their own…pinipilit maging matangos ang ilong or tumaas ang cheekbones kahit lalabas na ang mga anak mo ay kamukha na mababa ang ilong. so what! my siblings, hati kami..mayu mga singkit, bilugan ang ilong kahit mataas at may mga deep set eyes w/cheekbones and caucasian nose..when i read that u traced ur family roots, i went to the files of my parents and ask my mother-in-law as well for theirs. still a long way to go…maybe one day i will find out my lolo has ancestors who are pirates hehehe..well wala na akong magagawa dyan if ever…i wont pretend like the bruha and fatguy pretending to be with royal blood PPWWWWEEEEE!!!!! at pati santo dinamay!!!! i had to find out saan part ng spain galing ang lola ng mom ko for now..this is exciting and interesting Yuko. thanks for ur sharing…makes us think of how God’s power can bring people frm one part of the globe to meet with another soul frm anther totally different culture…

  41. Soleil:

I forgot to mention. When I went to China and did a walking tour of Tiananmen, may bata akong nakita, butas ang salawal sa may puwit. Shocking! I asked the guide later on kung bakit. Sabi niya ganoon daw iyon.

been to Beijing, Guilin, Hangzhou, Guangdong 97 and was a little impress bec feeling ko parang naiiwan ang pinas for a country s’posed to be filled with almost people na “nakakulong”(bawal lahat halos kc)..but been there way back 83 in the hometown of my dad and my siblings and i were joking “ibalik nyo kami sa Pilipinas!!!”…i’d rather be in the province of my mom in Bicol khit alkitran lang…horor and shoking when our ship docked in xiamen port..nawala ang gutom ko when i saw the cook cooking his food yuuukkksss!!!
but since 2003, when i went back to xiamen, nanlumo ako…napag-iwanan na ang pilipinas…mahihiya ang EDSA from their simple main road..not highway!…people are so eager to learn so open. but syempre, iba ang iba ang kinamulatan talaga d b?..although i can say that the youth (not all) are striving to be civilized…TH to be at par with the global community and this is good..they want progress in their life. hindi pareho sa pinas, kontento maging super-atsay…the problem naman kc here is that the jobs that people carry out have no jsutice to their personality…look at the truckers even in japan (as my hubby described he has been there 3x), may dignity, may modo at may personality..pero dito, minsan ni hindi alam ang road safety…and how can they get a driver’s license..thru lagay!!!! in the US, mga waiters, waitress, or laborers, they can strive for better future kc their social services also take care of them, dito? hindi ko naman minamata ang pagiging waiter, tindero sa palengke, but what is the chance for them to get better quality life in their lifetime?..unless their kids are good kids who will break their back for their parents to have a taste of the good life i salute them….and not yung maglalayas o magjajapayuki nga pero kinalimutang may mga naiwan silang mamamatay na sa gutom dito..
i thnk yes, Manchuria was the place..ganun talaga…as i said saang gubat may ahas..usa is the most inggitero kaya ayan namana ng pinas ang pagiging corrupt at waldas…

  43. Soleil, tiyaga lang. I discovered that my part Chinese grandmother had roots also in Basque now wanting freedom from Spain. Talk of the blood being thicker than water. I felt more at home there in fact than at any part of Spain except perhaps Alhambra where my other grandmother’s roots originated may dugo pang Israeli of the Tribe of Joseph as a matter of fact.

You bet, it is a wonderful thing to research for one’s roots and find out about one’s ancestors. Somehow you start connecting the way I felt when I met some Brits with the same family name as my mother’s. One even kind of looked like my maternal grandfather, who was related to the Luna brothers.

I am probably going back to Hong Kong to search for my Chinese roots there. I understand our church has kept records of members there likewise where we have a temple.

BTW, I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and we do a lot of genealogical works for a sacred reason, nothing like the reason (yabang only) of the bogus president and her husband and their kin.

  44. Soleil said:… nawala ang gutom ko when i saw the cook cooking his food yuuukkksss!!!!

Reminds me of the oat meal at the hotel in Hong Kong I stayed in on my first trip there. Parang uhug talaga! 🙂 🙂 🙂

hahaha!!! ganun nga Yuko…although buti nalang di ko nakita yung ganung bata..here in Makati..the people living along the riles(railroad) use the estero as their c.r…nasusuka ang anak ko minsan tamang tama pagtanaw nya a little girl was doing her ‘duty’…hay!!! we can only sigh in disbelief of how unfair life is to people bec of too much bureaucracy, greed, power grabbing for a few people’s advantage and never mind for the many ignorant to drop dead…talagang ala-hitler so much like the ambition of the bruha and the fatguy….for now, i am taking tesol to teachthe deaf and blind na cant afford.,in the spirit of volunteerism…its a personal advocacy lang…and along the way to let them know the horors of this admnistration…these challenge population must be shown that even if they feel they are not included in the general society whenever there are sensitive issues, we have to make them realize they should be ‘heard’ and they should have the awareness…hindi yung puro pa-phot-ops lang, pa kamay-kamay at may mga bayarang sumusigaw kapag dumadalaw kuno ang bruha para makiramay PWEEEE!!!! PWEEEE!!!! PWEEEE!!!!

  46. Over here, may kobeta pa rin na squat style that for me is more hygenic. Yuck! But in Tokyo when you go to big hotels you get the comfort of well-heated toilet with bidet. I plan to buy one for my house in the USA and Mexico para unique.

So there you are, nabalik ang usapan sa fertilizer!!!

ai nakuuu!!! hahahahaha..i cant stop laughing…we’re lucky we take things lightly…this is something with humor kahit pa ano ang itawag ng iba dyan…this maybe the pilipino in us…kahit gigil na sa galit at umuusok na, pwede pang tawanan ang situation and ang sarili…walang pagiging hypocrite as u said nagkukunwari…one thing i put in my brain, just be honest with ones’self and life can go on and you can face anyone with a straight face…not like bruha!!! pati patay pinapapirma sa mga documentong bogus!…as i said, 19 years na ako sa area ko kahit anong mga lecheng survey or like this singaw ng bayan’s initiative. i go to the talipapa often how come i;ve never met any ungas asking me for my opinion..kc target nila mga lugar na masa thinking mga boploks ang nakatira..they go to the malls where they think they can fool people pero tinitingnan nila bago nila kausapin. subukan nila akong lapitan kung di ko sila pinagmumura!!! malamang ipa police pa ako!!! that is democracy for you here…ONLY IN DA PINIPINS!!!!

  48. Kawawa naman ang mga mahihirap talaga. One thing bad though is since they never actually have had toilets, hindi marunong gumamit ng toilet ang maraming sa kanila. This I notice during gatherings of Filipino. Nabababoy ang mga kobeta! Nagkalat ang mga papel, and I wonder why they can never train themselves on how to use the toilets properly. Nangkupo!

  50. soleil soleil

speaking of toilets, people’s character are seen by how they use the toilet or bathroom and this is very true…tama ka nga Yuko…dito sa Greenbelt Mall, ang mga toilets ay equipped with washer n mga sensor na ang gamit..pero malalaman mo na kung there;s a queue, and malas mo kung ikaw ang susunod na gagamit at salaula ang nauna sa yo…may bowl nga pero aapakan pa nila ito…ang hindi man lang pupunasan!!! sabi ng isang blogger ang bastos natin?!?! hmmmm…ano ang bastos yuko?…di ba yung mga gumagamit ng kapakanan ng ibang tao? d b yung mga taong di marunong gumamit ng simple toilet manners kc mga walang pinag-aralan dahil sa hirap ng buhay? d b yung mga bastos na ang kakapal ng mukha na nagtatampisaw sa nakaw na yaman ng taumbayan?…i had a chinese teacher before, very very clever and straight and honest,(God bless his soul he passed away na)…but i learned frm him na it is impolite to call someone ‘instik’ like calling an african american a ‘nigger’or some chinese calling pinoys ‘huwana’ (something like frm the mountains)actually its a short cut for the word ‘chao-huwan'(chao meaning ‘baho’ and huwan for chihuwan meaning taong bundok)…so i guess being baboy is just different storkes for different folks..as the french would call them cochon like the fatguy!!!

  51. Bantayang mabuti iyan.

Labas niyan Iraq!

  52. As far as ordinary Filipinos are concerned, Soleil, “Intsik” means Chinese. What is derogatory is when they are called “Beho tulo laway!” Ako nga ang tawag ko Ponga! May boyfriend nga ang sister ko before from Hong Kong. Pangalan niya Albert. Tawag ko sa kaniya, Al i Ponga. Tanong siya ng tanong kung ano iyon. Sabi ko “Guwapo ka!” Tuwang-tuwa siya! Tamang-tama naman kasi ang laki ng panga!

Pabayaan mo si Mrivera! Nangnanak na naman ang isang tagasingit! Tawag diyan alanganin! 😛

Oops, time to go out from now. May translation job ako sa TV studio ngayong gabi. I think news tungkol sa oil spill.

I’m back. Break time ko. Naghihintay pa kasi ng transmission from the Philippines. Dito hinahakot ng balde in a relay gaya noong oil spill sa Fukui Prefecture in 1997. Tarantado talaga.

Regarding Bolate. Balita nga humihingi ng permission na makalabas. Bakit wala bang doctor ang detention doon? I doubt if the USA would be more backward than the system in Japan, for over here detainees are checked up by doctors once or twice a week.

  59. Toney Cuevas Toney Cuevas

Joc Joc Bolate is nothing but a crook that got away with the loots, and with the assistance of bonnie and clyde duo that turned their back to protect their personal interest. Moreover, Bolate is sick in the head same as Gloria. But what puzzling most of all is the way the Americans are handling this case denying the Pilipinos the truth. Bolate still a Pilipino citizen under a sovereign country. And the Americans is keeping the Pilipinos in the dark. I guess as a nation we can’t get respect from others. We can thank fake Gloria, I suppose.

  60. artsee artsee

Lumang stroke pero very effective.

  61. Nelbar:

Get mo? Kaya huwag kang pa-bre-brainwash sa kanila. Bata ka pa iho. Marami ka pang dapat alamin, and the best way to learn is to practice what you preach.

That’s how I have learned to care for the land of our birth. Get involved is my motto! They also avoid getting into any Filipino organization in the USA. Hanggang himutok na lang sila when they watch Philippine News on TV, pero wala silang ginagawa. They don’t experience the great satisfaction of being able to do something even in one’s little way.

Dito sa Japan marami kaming nagagawa, even the stopping of the sales of Philippine properties in Japan. Fortunately, the Japanese negotiators for the Japanese-Philippine Reparations Treaty were inspired to make provisions that the Filipino people can take active part in preserving those properties for this and future generations of Filipinos hindi katulad noong mga ganid at swapang na politikong pinoy na walang ginawa kundi waldasin ang kayamanan ng bansa na hindi naman kanila.

Puedeng idemanda ang mga walanghiyang iyan dito kapag ginalaw nila ang mga patrimonies dito lalo na’t may Supreme Court ruling against the sale of these patrimonies in Japan and elsewhere.

I don’t know but a lot many of the Nikkeijin from Baguio like us seem to be better off. Bakit kaya?

  65. Frankly, Soleil, I got a degree in history and linguistics, but after experiencing working with lawyers, et al here as interpreter in the police and the court, I decided to take some course and training to be a paralegal. Iyan ang isang trabaho ko ngayon aside from owning my own company that does, catalog sales, interpretation and sales of discounted airfares everywhere. This way, I am able to finance and support my political and social activities.

    Downer denies WMD cover-up

    August 31, 2006 03:11pm

FOREIGN Minister Alexander Downer says he did not try to suppress a letter from an Australian expert, which said the hunt for weapons of mass destruction in Iraq was flawed.

Dr John Gee wrote to the Federal Government when he resigned from the Iraq Survey Group (ISG) in 2004, saying there was a reluctance among the US and Australian governments to accept Iraq had no weapons of mass destruction.

Dr Gee said today he was told Mr Downer had ordered the damning letter be suppressed.

But Mr Downer denied he had given any instructions for the letter to be buried.

“Of course not. Why would I?” he said in Sydney.

“I personally gave no instructions that it was to be or wasn’t to be distributed.

“As far as I knew, people around the Government were very well aware of Dr Gee’s concerns.

“We had no reason not to want to hear what he had to say.”

Mr Downer said he had asked to see Dr Gee when he returned from Iraq to discuss his concerns and also spoke to the head of the ISG, Dr Charles Duelfer, two weeks after receiving the letter.

“I discussed John Gee’s concerns with Mr Duelfer in my electorate office in Adelaide,” Mr Downer said.

He conceded the Government’s confidence that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction “gradually declined as time went on”.

May dalawa akong anak: Isang lalaki at babae.
